Apparently its supposed to be 25 here. Doesn't feel like it! Too cloudy. Nice but not definately not hot.

The foxglove seedlings i left in thier original tub are calling out to be thinned out and potted on. I really need to get on with it..
(I have 16 i potted on that are doing well...do i need more? Of course! Some may not survive the winter..) i sowed them they are my responsibility to nurture and look after them.....help...

Oh no @Thebookofcarolagain sorry you're still sore! That's really dragging on now, isn't it? I'd be fed up too 🙄.Hopefully each day is taking you a little bit closer to feeling normal again.

Once you've sown them, they become your babies and you can't possibly abandon them. Sixteen healthy ones is brilliant! Just think how lovely they'll be next year when they're all flowering together 😊.

Ha ha you know me too well @DirtyGertiefromno30 I now have 33 foxglove seedlings. 😆😆 I did get a grip and bined the rest off. Been out pottering in garden when i took washing out. Just checking and dead heading. I fed my old lupin the leaves just keeps curling up! No idea what's going on there. Good job i have loads more baby lupins in pots for next year. Lillies are coming out and beautiful.
Its warm but certainly not hot. 21 apparently. Lots of clouds and it really looks like its threatening rain sometimes then they pass by.
Was watching a bee at my cucumber but there's only one flower open just now, arghhhhh. Toms look appalling too.
Time for a sit down again. Need to find a cooker!

You had a lovely little potter in the garden today from the sound of it 😁. Just wandering around deadheading, checking on things and seeing what's changed is half the pleasure. Your Lilies coming out must be gorgeous too 😍
I'm not sure what's going on with your old Lupin either. You've done the right thing feeding it, so hopefully it'll decide to behave itself. Just asked DH he said
it could be not enough water or from the wind. Apparently they don't like the wind , aw such sensitive little babies 🤗.
Typical timing with the Bee and the cucumber flower though! The poor little thing finally turns up to do some work and there's only one flower 🙄 . Pity the tomatoes are looking a bit sorry for themselves too. It seems to be one of those years where some plants are running away and the others are sulking 🤣
Definitely have that sit down and put your feet up for a bit. You've earned it after tending to your ever expanding plant nursery! 😄 The cooker hunt sounds much less fun than the gardening, so I hope you find something suitable without too much faffing about.
Take it easy , and don't overdo it. The Foxgloves, Lupins, Lilies, Cucumbers and Tomatoes will all still be there after a nice cuppa and a rest!
DH in now, he's been watering the garden . Just settling down to watch the Portugal v Uzbekistan match 🙄🤣

I checked the soil toms are in its not too dry and not wet so according to the advice they should be fine! Argghh.
My lupin def gets a bit of the wind, but it usually copes no bother. Fingers crossed the feed will help. Will keep an eye on soil over the week make sure its not getting too dry.
We have definitely been short changed on sun/heat today. No fair. Have friends on WhatsApp from all over England complaining of the heat today when its just meh here. Nice to be out in garden but not hot.
If its nice tomorrow am going down the beach for a paddle!
Gave up on cooker hunting. My brain was fried. Will try again tomorrow.

DH settled ready for the England v Ghana match , just had cauliflower cheese 😋

I just made an omelette, no sign of ds1 all day so didn't make anything for him 🤣
I brought washing in and one towel wasn't even dry at the hooded corner! (Yes I use those kids towels I got when mine were babies to go over thier heads😁 I use them to wrap my hair in. Still have 3 of them, they made things to last then they are still in very good nick!)
Pjs on and Skyrim on. Curtains drawn as sun is blasting through the window right onto my spot on sofa.
Got my last cup of coffee and off for a wander.😄

They really don't make things like they used to @Thebookofcarolagain. If those baby towels are still going strong after all these years, that's money very well spent! 😁

Hi both, sorry to hear about cookers and boilers causing stress.

V. hot here - schools shut tomorrow and Thursday, but now not really meant to be hotter than today and Friday also the same temp but school back on as far as we know at this point

Hope they sort out the school for Friday @FridayNighFeeling its not great for working parents who dont have childcare. Hope it's cooler overnight for you.
Ha Ds1 hasn't been down at all @DirtyGertiefromno30 until I posted. Looking for his tea...tough cheese. He is old enough to make himself something, lazy beggar. 😄
I have taken chicken wings out for tea tomorrow so ds2 can get them hot instead of cold. He is off tomorrow.

Just back. Had a paddle, water was so refreshing and I have felt it colder! Look who swam up to say hello.😄
Downside was i put my backpack down to take photo and some damm dog tried peeing on it, chased it but it still got it. Keep your bloody dogs beside you you pratts. Spoil it for everyone, so thoughtless😡
Went to chemist and general and then got myself a ricotta, pistachio, rasp ice cream at the Italian place. Yummmm.
The walk back not so much fun but river looks lovely despite the weed with the swans and ducks (Mr Swan was further down feeding.)

Oh bless you, no wonder you're knackered! The paddle sounds lovely though 🤗 I'd have been annoyed about the dog too. 😡 It's not hard to keep them under control and be considerate of other people. That ice cream sounds absolutely deliciou s 😋 😁 The river sounds beautiful with the swans and ducks, even with the weed. Glad Mr Swan made an appearance too. What a lovely afternoon 🤗 Just had tea, haddock in breadcrumbs, peas and new potatoes. Just had a nap couldn't keep my eyes open tbh ☺️

Definately a lovely day had shorts and a sleeveless top on and seen people down the street with coats on! But those 2 hills coming home are killers. My back and leg are complaining again. Very annoying.

Dishes all done but I forgot the washing. Well it can stay there till I cba to fold it. 😁

Washing is on hoping stupid machine doesn't stop for an hour like it did yesterday! Have cancelled all the soaking in water crap. Fingers crossed.
