Thanks @DirtyGertiefromno30 I will prob need it. Am roping ds into helping empty the cupboard and move it. First I need to make space for all my glass and ornaments in the kitchen! It's a lovely day here so put out my big plants to make a bit room.
Need to get my finger out and move. Didnt fall asleep till about 5 and woke at 9 so need to keep busy to keep awake.😁

Good idea roping DS in to help with the heavy lifting, and at least the nice weather is helping with the plants. Omg I am knackered. Everything washed and back in cabinet. Tv cabinet pulled out, sanding done, wallpaper done, everything dusted on shelves, cables sorted and dusted...just gotta paint 20' of skirting then put cabinet back. 🤪 Ds2 managed to move it with me holding tv !!! Then everything else needs dusting and hoovering. Helpppppp. Never, never, never ever doing this again!

Everything washed, dusted, sanded, wallpaper sorted, cables untangled, cabinet moved and cleaned behind that's a mammoth job. No wonder you're knackered! 😱 DS2 deserves a medal for helping move that cabinet while you balanced the TV too! 🤣You're so close to the finish line now. But l am holding you to that never ever doing this again promise ,at least until the next time 😂.Watching Spain v Saudi Arabia . Nice and cool here under the fan 😂.

Very very hot here this week!

All done. Moved the huge pia armchair slightly to allow my little succulent table to go in front of window at the other side.
Everything cleaned, hoovered and tidy. Leaving my painting workbag till tomorrow to tidy it out.
Had rest of yesterdays Chinese for tea. Hmm not great but filled a space and had a banana fritter left😄 Then promptly zonked out for 20 minutes!

Pjs and chill time now.
Have nothing planned for next week, no appointments, nothing.😄 Apart from bread and milk dont need shopping either. Just new paintbrushes, gonna try FMA they will prob have them. Plus I need to get meds at chemist. Hoping the nice weather arrives and i can walk down and then sit at the beach a while.

A week with no appointments and no major shopping sounds blissful. Just paintbrushes, meds, and hopefully some lovely walks down to the beach. Fingers crossed the nice weather finally arrives so you can sit and relax by the sea for a while sweetheart. ☀️🌊

Been to see Mum who was fine there thankfully. Bought her a cool blanket to put on her , fan on and curtains and windows shut . She was fine there .
Our gas boiler is playing up , got the gas board here to sort it out . A pipe has split or some such thing 😱.
Also a separate thing , a little leak to the dining room ceiling. Just had a look and apparently the silicone sealant needs replacing around the bath . That's from my Dd2 filling the bath up so much it overfilled and went through the silicone. Hey ho 😁
Oh no, what a nuisance @Thebookofcarolagain! 😩 I'd definitely give the HA a call if the grill is still sulking after the power trip.
The maple and pecan Danish sounds like excellent compensation though 😄 Far nicer than toast!

Phoned HA who said its probably the grill that tripped the switches snd its buggered. That's all i need! Where the heck am I gonna get a cheap cooker? There are no electrical shops left round here and I def want to see it before I buy after the last time.

Oh no, that's the last thing you needed@Thebookofcarolagain! 😩 Hopefully the HA are right and it's just the grill element that's gone rather than the whole cooker. Fingers crossed it can be repaired because having to find a replacement is such a faff, especially when you want to see it in person first. Why is it always something expensive that decides to pack up? 🙄
Sounds like your cooker and my boiler are both having a bit of a wobble 🤣 Hopefully it won't cost too much to sort out and they will both be back in working order soon. 🤞🙏
if the top of the TV cabinet was the only thing you missed, I'd say you've done pretty well! Especially feeling as sore as you are. The coffee making and gentle pottering sounds like exactly the right plan, enough to keep moving without overdoing it.
As for your weather, it needs to make its mind up! Rain, 24 degrees, then storms? Honestly, it's all over the place. 😂 Hope the rain stays away, the coffee keeps flowing, and there are no more appliance dramas today for you .

I think i might just look for a cheap cooker @DirtyGertiefromno30 . I hate mine, biggest waste of money ever and its probably gonna cost a fortune for an electrician anyway. Will have a look at options tomorrow i cba today. If i can get a decent one cheap I will use my emergency fund for it.

Got a call from health centre to arrange a blood test for one of my meds. You have to phone a central booking now so have to leave it 24hrs till the notification goes through. Ridiculous, whats wrong with just having a calender for the nurses at HC? I mean they have to notify me and the booking office!

Gas engineer has sorted the leak thank God and the ceiling leak IS the sealant need8ng redoing around the bath phew 😅. I can breathe again 😁
@ThebookofcarolagainIf the cooker’s already annoying you and likely to cost a fortune to fix, a cheap decent replacement might honestly be less stress in the long run . Especially if you can use your emergency fund without it wiping you out. At least then you’re not stuck waiting around for electricians and callouts 😱.
And honestly, fair play on the Skyrim choice for today 😄 you needed to switch the world off and go deal with dragons instead of real life crap l don't blame you one bit .
The health centre thing is so taffy though 🙄. It makes no sense when it could all be done in one simple system. Having to wait 24 hours just so it can sync feels like unnecessary faff when it’s literally just a blood test booking.

It didn't cost anything thank God,we have got Home insurance for the central heating with British Gas so it covers it phew! Costs us £24 a month mind you but it's probably paid for it self in this one callout thankfully.
Just popping to Aldi for cold stuff 🤣

Did a little run to Aldis for some stuff for my Mum and us £40 gone on a few things unbelievable 🙄

It really is @Thebookofcarolagain, thank God it's working now 😱. l don't have anything else insured except the house and contents and the car of course. I don't believe in insuring the appliances either they always seem to have a get out clause 🙄. Glad you haven't got any rain , it's given us thunder and lightning later .

Have taken Dihydrocodein with precious little effect, just took the edge off. Sitting melting with my heat pad on low but its the only thing that helps.
