Tea was good. Made chantilly cream, sliced up the strawbs, cream then pastry on top of it and a dusting of icing sugar yummmy. 😋(Lot of effort for me for a change 😆😆). Still got some left for tomorrow.

That tea sounds absolutely lush @Thebookofcarolagain 😋. Chantilly cream and strawberries with pastry on top is proper fancy effort for a just a normal day , you’ve definitely earned those leftovers tomorrow!
And honestly dishes are like a never ending Skyrim quest 🤣. You finish one round and somehow the sink refills itself 😱.

Listened to his history channel last night about the Mount Tambora eruption in 1815 and how it affected the world. Was fascinating. It was the cause of the weather which kept Byron, et all indoors so they had that ground breaking horror story challenge! So many other things too. He said in some places the sky would have looked like the sky in the film 'The Road' 😱 Love his stuff.

That Mount Tambora one sounds fascinating. It's amazing how just one eruption affected so much. No wonder it inspired such eerie stories if the sky looked anything like The Road 😱.

Another meh day. Cloudy but light just not one thing or another.
Just pottering, stripped my bed, washing on, kitchen tidied etcq

Mainly laughing my socks off watching QI while I do stuff😄

Think I will go out front and do a bit of weeding/thinning out. (I will try and remember a glove on my sore finger hand😁)
My finger seems to have gone down a bit thankfully, not as sore either. Keeping up with the mag sulph so fingers crossed.

I should know better!

Done gravel and paving out front. Put more eggshells round my huge hosta (which is remarkably intact!) and my lupin trough.

Put washing out and started pulling weeds out through fence had a look at top border and bottom border.. New plants/ transplanted plants are doing well! Walked along wall to raised area pulling weeds out fence. Then noticed my foxglove leaves were nibbled...found a load of snails all along the wall so they got the hoy. Got eggshells and put them down. 😁 its never ending, I get carried away every time but its fab. Need to check the bags at the end of border on raised area, i forgot to do it. Snails get under there..😡

Oh no @Thebookofcarolagain, that's a rough night when the sun is coming up before you finally get to sleep bless you. Hopefully you'll get a chance to recharge later. Shopping with the kids definitely sounds like a marathon today with no sleep. Out weather is fine thankfully 21C and nice out . Another 2 loads on the line 😜.
Just coming back from seeing Mum she was fine there thankfully 😁.

I did get some skerp @DirtyGertiefromno30 from about 4 till 9.30. Will prob doze off at some point😁😁

Back from shopping. Ds2 came. He got me a steak slice and we had them in the car😁
I was very good, didn't spend loads in aldi but was tempted by 2 dahlias in HB! 😁😁 One smallish (only £1.99, that's my excuse) and a larger one. Thinking i will put the small one in the pot out front where my dahlias arent sprouting at all yet. The other can go in a border. They need a bit of tlc first.
Shopping put away. Need to face the freezer jiggle and chop up the chicken breasts. Got a pk of meatballs 75% off so they are in freezer. 😁
Got a Toblerone in HB. Medium sized one normal price for the ones next to them, £4.95, that one cos it has valentine hearts on it £3.99! That will keep me happy for a while😁 (But February made me shiver... 😉)
My washer is still doing its own thing i think. I heard it beep when we got back, way too long to finish

Its sort of hazy here, like fine fog. Warmish though just not inviting.
Coffee time, got some Italian biccies to dunk in my coffee😋

Good job not overspending in Aldi and great bargain 75% off those meatballs but those £1.99 Dahlias were never going to be left there 😉 .They’ll be lovely in the beds with a bit of TLC.
DH has a lovely one in the garden l bought him in HB last year for £2.99 . Got to say their plants are pretty good on the whole .
Freezer jiggle and chicken can wait coffee and Italian biscuits first definitely 🤣

Chicken dealt with, freezer tetris a success yeah me! 🤣🤣
Ds2 looked at all the freezer drawers amazed and said we don't need anything for a month! I laughed and said you would be amazed at how fast it goes! But hopefully it will last a couple of weeks at least.

Yeah washer didn't behave, it had stopped and the duvet cover was still soaked. Re spun it all, stupid machine it's supposed to handle 9 lbs.
Have chicken chunks for tea but still no idea what to do with them ds2 no help whatsoever. 😄 Might just do butter chicken as have naans in freezer. We arent hungry after the steak slices so might just do toasties and keep chicken for tomorrow...
Got more strawbs and cream but they had no pastry, damm, oh well we will live. 😁

😁😁 great minds ...Ds2 just came down i said I was thinking about toasties for tea and he laughed and said he came down to say dont bother making tea he wasn't really hungry yet. Oh well that's me off the hook.

Have taken my Mums friend shopping to Aldis and did a bit as well for us , it was £63 😱. Mum is ok, thankfully, my sister's day to visit today . I bought some Eton Mess for her to have tomorrow it was in the freezer in Aldi it's lovely 😍 😋
Shame about the pastry @Thebookofcarolagain but good to get the JC over with . My DH hates brown bread too 🤣.
