Been to coop. Took ds2 to work...up on cliff top.. when I turned car round it started raining.. 3 minutes of rain, just up there. 🤪Down at coop, lovely, bit of a breeze. There were people in swimming! Up here beautiful but hurricane winds. Brought washing in, dried thankfully. Sure wind is worse!
Hmm perhaps @DirtyGertiefromno30 not sure. Maybe when flowers open there will be the inner layer. It's a gorgeous colour anyway. Thanks Mr D. The new anenome bulbs i planted haven't showed face yet, maybe I am just impatient.
Dunking my finger in salty water again. Fingers crossed. It's hard to do stuff with your index finger pointed up out the way😁😁

Oh no @DirtyGertiefromno30 everything I read online says to go gluten free when you have thyroid/auto immune issues, but I'm not brave enough - it's just not very sustainable in modern life baked goods taste too nice

Made mac cheese for tea with bacon slices on top. Yum.
I remembered ds2 used hand warmers in the winter going to work so I had a look. Found 2 and activated one and held it round my finger. Was ok for a while then got too hot. Arghh. I so want to jab it with a needle but I know it hurts like heck😁

You've got your own weather system up there @Thebookofcarolagain! 🤣 Rain on the cliff top and sunshine at the Co-op🤣. Glad the washing dried before the winds got even worse.

The flower is gorgeous already, and I bet the Anemones are just making you wait to test your patience 😂. I thought it looked like a sweetpea me but DH scoffed me down lol 🤣.

No minor injuries anywhere near here @DirtyGertiefromno30 . I will stick it in some more hot water and once hand warmer cooled down will use it again. I will live. If no better in morning will phone gp surgery. Oh damm !i cant its Sat. Will go to chemist then.

It's mainly around thyroid @Thebookofcarolagain because apparently gluten "looks like" something that your body doesn't like and attacks... I'd have to dig my book out and reread it.

Chemist first thing for you??? They may be able to deal with something like that if they can prescribe.

Again it looks glorious outside but wind is howling around the house. Blew some of my seedlings plant pots over during the night. 😡 Will need to water them to make them heavier.

Once i get dressed will go to chemist and see if they have anything for my finger. It's still swollen.

Sorry to hear the wind has been attacking your seedlings and plant pots @Thebookofcarolagain after all your hard work too😱. Hopefully watering them will help keep them grounded.

I got mag sulph are chemist @DirtyGertiefromno30 oooohhhh it stings, my finger is throbbing like crazy. But hopefully will draw it out.
Not quite as windy down in town but breezy enough. Doing not a lot today as trying to do something holding my finger up is impossible. Just bare necessities.
Went into coop bargain hunting but nothing of note. Got cream for the strawbs i got yesterday, there were no meringues but I have puff pastry in freezer will use that for a nice treat.
Got myself a maple pecan plait so having that with my coffee.

Pulled on my big girl pants and been out watering. I was just gonna do the seedlings but felt bad for everything else so one thing led to another as usual 😁 Deadheaded my papaver too. Everything is taking a battering with this bloody wind, including me! 😄 Had to use watering cans as water from hose was just getting blown everywhere. Borders are filling up but I suspect that there is chickweed in amongst the sown seed plants. Not 100% sure, will wait and see.
The wind is ruining such a beautiful day😡
Coffee time to warm up.

Magnesium sulphate really does let you know it's working @Thebookofcarolagain 😬. Hopefully it's drawing everything out and that finger starts feeling better soon.
Shame there were no Co op bargains or meringues but strawberries, cream and puff pastry is a lovely treat 😋🍓. The maple pecan plait with coffee is well deserved too ☕😊😋

Sun came out! I caved and have pulled all the chickweed out, well as much as I could see. I cant dig it out properly cos of all the other seedlings. But its not choking everything now. I have a feeling theres a few toadflax in the mix, the last thing i need! 😁 deadheaded too. I cant stop myself!
Have had to redo my mag sulph plaster cos of course no gloves 😁😁

Been busy today so far, up to Mums and back, she was fine there thankfully 😁.
Two lots of washing done , first lot put away second lot on the line . Hoovered & tidied up , now having a cuppa and a ham sarnie 😋.

Well done for tackling the Chickweed before it took over. Gardening is terrible for that 😁, you pop out to do one thing and end up weeding, deadheading and spotting five other jobs that need doing
Hopefully the seedlings will be happier now, and fingers crossed the toadflax stays under control, fatter stuff 🤞🌱.
And of course you ended up redoing the Mag Sulph plaster because there were no gloves involved! 😂

Da2 started early today so is actually home for tea. Steak pie and tatties and strawbs and cream with puff pastry...🤞
