Hospital tomorrow with ds1. Wish there was a garden centre up there to check for compost but nearest one is miles out the way. Ooh wait, till i check....theres one on way home, its a house fuel place. Logs, coal etc but they made a garden centre too. Apparently they have cacti compost yeah! Wonder if they will have trailing lobelia yet i want some or something similar to put in with my polyanthus to fill the pots out. Places in town have very little flowers to chose from so far.

Morning all. Not too bad a day, rained on the way over to hosp. Sat in waiting room now with my ccffee. Think the price has gone up again!
Woke up at 3.30 for some reason, gave up had a cup of tea then back to bed and fell asleep. Had the itches, maybe something I ate?

Hospital coffee prices are so cheeky honestly. They know we have no choice when we are sat there waiting l wouldn't mind but it's nothing special!
That itching could be anything l suppose, something you ate or just being overtired. Our bodies do odd things when we are tired out . Hopefully it has settled now.

Been to see Mum, stayed 3 hours she was so good today 😊 , then popped up to see my Mum's friends. I am glad l went she has got short term memory loss and is on meds for it bless . Her long term memory is fine though thankfully. Her DH has been in hospital for his pacemaker and he was in great spirits , he's feeling so much better bless him .
Just come home , having a cuppa going to put my feet up now and watch the telly 😊

It didn't last too long @DirtyGertiefromno30 they actually got blood out first tine!!!! Yeah wont be getting a large latte again in hosp. Far too big and not exactly tasty now for some reason. The coffee used to be OK at the cafe but now it's pretty crap.
We stopped at the garden centre on way home and I got 3 bags of cacti compost. We went to the cafe and I had a bacon, brie and Cranberry sarnie, nice wholemeal bread too. With tiny bit of salad and nice coleslaw. Ds1 had pork and haggis sausages, mash , peas and gravy. He gave me a little bit of the sausage to try. Very nice. Had a look round at plants, well I say plants! 75% of them were brown shriveled leaves, brown shriveled flowers, or just sticks! Honest to goodness what a show! I know some things look dead over winter but seriously, some had started to flower but they were shrivelling up on brown sticks. It was like nobody actually knew how to care for plants! All full price too! Err... I passed🤣
Need to face the big succulent and empty it out...ooooeeeerrr.

Your lunch sounds lovely @Thebookofcarolagain Bacon, brie and cranberry on wholemeal with coleslaw 😋 And Ds1’s pork and haggis sausages with mash and gravy sounds proper hearty. Nice he shared a bit with you bless him 😊

Have repotted the huge succulent, well half of it. 4 of the huge 'babies' broke off they were so top heavy so have trimmed them off to grow new roots and hopefully pot up in a few weeks. Cleaned up the absolute mess I made but still have floor to wash where it was wet and soil dropped.😡 Fingers crossed the succulent will survive, gave it a water, pulled off all the dried leaves...
Coffee time for now. I put heating on for an hour as it was freezing but it's warming up already! Make your mind up!!!! Arghhhh.

Sounds like a proper battle with that succulent @Thebookofcarolagain, but I’m sure it’ll pull through. Those little babies you trimmed off will grow like crazy once they root future plants in the making! 😁

Fingers crossed for the plantlets, there were more it was choca with babies before winter but they have all vanished just huge ones now. Of course I will need to plant them in decent sized pots once they root! Where am i gonna put them???? 🤣🤣
Got planters the other day for some of my other succukent plants, don't want them getting too overcrowded as well, hoping they will sit on window sill, its pretty narrow, useless house. My old house had windowsills nearly 2 foot deep, loved them.
Haven't had tea yet, cba tbh. Got a glass of wine topped with tonic...
In jammies chilling, might go on skyrim for a potter.

Another dreich day here, drizzly and damp.
Bloods done, not my school mate but a guy this time. Picked up meds at chemist and got bread and milk, got a pack of rolls on sale too, i do like a roll for a change.🤣 Sorted reorder dates in my diary, its done and out the way so I don't run out. Damm I hate all these flipping meds.
Have an almond croissant in oven for my brunch😁
Need to organise what seeds to plant outside, not sure if I am doing inside ones as bags are all wet and don't fancy the mess inside. If rain stays off I will do them outside.

I know how relentless all the flipping meds can feel 🙄. Getting the reorder dates into your diary is a good shout though, it just takes that worry away about running out 🤗.

Such a shame about the wet seed bags. Nevermind though if the rain holds off it will be much nicer doing them outside anyway 🤗. There is something so hopeful about planting seeds , very renewable like the seasons changing 😊
It is a beautiful day here, which makes a change, and we have been to see Mum, who was absolutely fabulous today and it has really lifted my heart ❤️

Phew! Seeds planted, aquilegia bulbs planted in garden, new hellebore planted. Found a new plant growing under the mascari leaves! Looks like one of my big sedums has self seeded but will wait and see. I moved it over so it's not buried. Need to move one-off my large heukeras but that can wait till tomorrow. Have 2 dark ones that are too similar so putting one up top to leave room for dahlias🤣 seedling trays are in sink hopefully watering themselves. Then i need to clear up the slight mess and wash floor. Fingers crossed. Did aquilegias, nasturtiums, sunflowers, antirrhinum and that orange daisy thing out front that just appeared. Not sure if those seeds will grow but hey ho its worth a try. If they all do I will fill every space in garden 🤣🤣🤣 Got 20 million more seeds to sow later ...gulp.
I didnt put my wash out @DirtyGertiefromno30 its too cold and no wind (for a change!) Have chicken cubes defrosting for tea, if they hurry up! Not sure what I am gonna do with them. Maybe harissa, butter chicken gravy? Urghhh.

Wow @Thebookofcarolagain, you’ve been busy! Seeds sown Aquilegias, Nasturtiums, Sunflowers, Antirrhinum, and that orange Daisy out front. Aquilegia bulbs, new Hellebore, and a little plant under the Muscari leaves , maybe a self seeded Sedum.
Heuchera can wait, one dark one moved up for Dahlias 🤣 Seed trays hopefully watering themselves, then tidy up and wash the floor. 20 million more seeds to sow later 😱 gulp!

@ASMR Historian. All of history all over the world. I love the medieval and victorian ones ones. There are hour long ones, hour long ones, great to fall asleep to. Although last 2 nights I have woken up at stupid o'clock. They worked brilliantly all last week.

I have not come across ASMR Historian before but it sounds perfect. No adverts and a proper human voice makes such a difference. Medieval and Victorian history is right up my street too.
