I’m fully with you on the Hostas obsession @Thebookofcarolagain! Those huge lush ones always look amazing until the snails declare war on them 🤣🐌. Geraniums are lovely too though, such good fillers.
Really glad your shoulders are a bit easier today though, that’s encouraging. Hopefully it keeps heading that way 💐.
I get you re the funerals too it's not easy 🤗
And yes 😂 HIGNFY was brilliant!
The Trumpy comments were spot on.
Your weather sounds horrible 🙄.
Hope the rain stays off long enough for you to enjoy the garden a bit without having to battle an army of snails 😱.

Rain returned and has been raining ever since @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Just miserable

I have put a ton of eggshells around my hostas, and pilled snails out, fingers crossed. One at front is shooting up, one at back is always later and slower. Front gravel is filling up with plants. Need to take some out as they spread everywhere and self seed by the million, but I have a few aquilegias growing proudly and those spikey plants, what did your dh call them again? (Memory like a seive!), and all my new ones are doing fabulously.

Have done the bathroom, been down to coop with kids, needed bread and pots and got myself an apple danish. Took ds2 up to work.

Was hoping it would be nice today so ds1 and I could go for a nice walk through the estate woods, typical.
Need to make more biscuits!
Got the reminder for car tax today, pooh! Oh well at least it's fraction of the old car cost.
(Thankfully no mess ups here @FridayNighFeeling that would put me over the edge!)

Oh no re the weather 🙄. Typical when you’d planned a nice woodland walk with Ds1 too. Hopefully you’ll get a dry day over the weekend instead.
Your garden sounds like it’s thriving though! I laughed at the plants self seeding by the million 😂 .
Aquilegias are lovely, and I’m glad all the new plants are doing so well. Fingers crossed the eggshells keep the snails off the Hostas. And yay for remembering Toadflax 😄👏.
You’ve been busy too. Bathroom done, Co-op trip done, Ds2 to work, and an Apple Danish well deserved 🤗😋!

Home from seeing Mum, she was ok there very spirited and happy bit her chest sounded congested on the left side but she's got another 5 days of antibiotics to take so hopefully that will sort her out .

Do you want choc chip or cherry (bigger ones at front)? 😁 Didn't a double batch and I had cherries to use up so did some of it with cherries. (They look paler on the photo than they are but they dont need to darken much at all, they are cooked.) Easy peasy recipie. Good ol Bero.😄

I think I’d have to try one of each purely for quality control purposes of course 😂 . The cherry ones sound especially good though. Nothing beats a good old Bero recipe, simple and they always turns out well.
I’m so glad Mum’s back more like herself too, it’s such a relief. Hopefully the antibiotics will keep working quickly now 🤞.
Your biccie with your coffee is definitely deserved after all that baking. Hope you got chance to sit for a bit before tackling the hoovering 😁.
Have got the washing in and put it away . Haven't done much else just talking with my daughters tbh but l feel like l needed to just calm down and unwind after the past 3 days of Mum being in hospital. Having a cuppa now and drooling over the thought of the cherry and chic chip biccies 🤤🤣

Haven't even done the hoovering! But mince is cooking for tea and dishes all done from that. Will put tatties on in about15 mins. If theres enough mince I am keeping some back, I got corn tortillas on offer in coop so could just add some chilli tomortow. Hmm I haven't got any salad....damm. but I have cheese! (And sugar snap peas are veg!)
Sun finally appeared but still cold out. Wanted to pot on some seedlings but everything is wet outside and its too cold out back to do it.
Oh well that's a job for tomorrow.

Cuppa and a choc chip biccue now before I do another mountain of dishes. Started feeding my succulents, smallness first. Have a largish spikey one and the liquid is just going straight through the pot! Has it eaten all the compost? Do I heed to repot it again????? Good job i have loads of compost but need to hunt out a bigger pot. Another job to add to the list.

Fresh compost and a slightly bigger pot should sort it out l am sure .l did ask DH but he hasn't got a clue about Succulents unfortunately 🙄 where is a man who knows about succulents when you need one 🤣. Funny how plants always add another job to the list 🙈

Had tea just settling down for Casualty and then watching the last 2 episodes of Secret service 😁👏

Compost is just totally dried out!
Litres and litres of feed later.....
Had to poke hokes in the big buggers pots that dont have drain holes to try to get it in! Using a funnel too. What a freaking mess! Left them all soaking in puddles in pot saucers and will go back once the non draining pot@s liquid has sunk in a bit and do them again. Who's stupid idea was this? I need wider topped pots but cant find any (plus the buggers just grow into them! )
But one of my beauties has a flower bud.

A fat 'leaf' fell off one so I am compelled to dry it out and see if it will take....help me!!!!!!

You’ve done the right things though .
The flower bud is a really good sign, they’re clearly not giving up!
And the fallen leaf is worth a try too, just leave it somewhere and see what happens 😁 fingers crossed 🤞.

Have cleaned up kitchen and been outside reporting my monster succulent. The canes look awful but it needs them or it will break. Hmmm I might see if i can get away with just two but its so top heavy I doubt it

Coffee then 3 more to do.

3 more repotted. Just got the 'babies' to plant up now. Will need to put big pots on computer desk and little ones on windowsill now...help!

Sounds like you’ve had a really productive morning again @Thebookofcarolagain😊. Repotting monster succulents is hard work, especially when they get so top heavy. The canes may not look great, but they’re probably the only thing stopping it from snapping! 🤣
Three more done as well is really impressive going, no wonder you need more coffee ☕. Your computer desk and windowsill are about to turn into a proper plant nursery with all the babies waiting to be planted up 😁 🌿. Leaving them outside for some fresh air and sunshine is a really good idea.
And DS2 saying you need an intervention over LOTR really made me laugh 😂. There are definitely worse things to be obsessed with and LOTR is a brilliant choice 😁
Been shopping to Aldi , came home put all away , did the washing, put all away , cooked Sunday dinner, lamb, roast pots, mint sauce, gravy , roast pots, cauliflower and swede it was delicious 😋 and l don't normally like Lamb tbh , just put that away in my stomach , got to do the dishes and put them away too! It's a day of putting away 😂

Finally got it all done @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Hope they all behave now and grow properly. Amazingly 2 of the bigger new pots still fit on my windowsill I just need to be careful with curtains. Taking one of the old and one of new babies upstairs to my room.
Just had a tuna sarnie and bag of crisps for tea and a bit of jam tart. You tea sounds fab😋

Going to see Mum this morning just having a cuppa before getting up to go.
Mum was very tired yesterday but it's to be expected she is 94 and has aspiration pneumonia which floors much younger people. I have to remember this and go with her flow .
Hope everyone is ok and has better weather than here , that won't be difficult l can assure you 😁
