Had to go out and wash hslf roof and one side of car to get the seagulls crap off it. 😡 It's gonna rain, its spitting now but that won't shift that stuff. Managed to splash myself in the process. Not impressed.

Typical timing though, clean the car and it starts spitting and seagull mess never shifts easily, that's so annoying.
And fancy splashing yourself as well!

Sorted a lot of life admin and posted 2 birthday cards and wrapped up another birthday present and took it to the birthday girl . DH put a blackout blind up in our bedroom and he lost a part so we were looking for it for 40 mins 🤣

Busy busy @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Losing a part, sounds like what would happen to me. Biccies turned out fab. From my old Bero recipie book. Soft and melt in the mouth. Need to make more but don't have more choc chips, might try just chopping choc up.

Had baked pot bean and saus and cheese for tea.

Your biccies sound spot on 😋, soft and melty exactly how they should be @Thebookofcarolagain 😁. Chopping up chocolate works just as well, sometimes it's even better because you get those bigger gooey bits 😋. No one’s complaining 😁!

Your tea sounds proper comfort food, can’t beat baked potato with beans, sausages and cheese. Simple but hits the spot every time. I of my faves as you well know .l tell you often enough 🤣

I forgot that when I bought new dahlia corms I also got anemone bulbs! Just saw them sitting on the counter last night. Was gonna plant them out today.. ha ha oh well maybe tomorrow.

Back from seeing Mum, a bit of lunch now and off to visit Mums friend in hospital. He's got a chest infection and heart failure poor thing . Will take him the Sunday paper to read 🤗

Toilet arrived and ds2 has put it on. Seems sturdy enough and the whole lot stays up against the cistern unlike previous ones. Ds2 is very pleased! 😄
Still cold and miserable here. Bleurgh.
Noticed my last sunflower seedlings in kitchen is actually growing more leaves and standing up tall! So have taken it out of seed pod and put it in with 2 other seedlings in a pot, fingers crossed. Have quite a few aquilegia seedlings coming on too. Too wet and windy to plant anenomes out. Going to put couple in a pot and rest in garden. I am desperate to plant my dahlias for some colour and fill ip the border but have nowhere to start them off in pots to keep warm so they have to go into outside pots and garden so will wait a bit longer. 😤
Having a lazy day so far just general pottering doing bits and bobs.

Just finished watching the Miami Grand Prix, great race 😊

I made fried chicken strips in air fryer and chips and peas. Tried panko breadcrumbs (with oil in them cos they dont brown without it) meh, not a fan. They were fine just a bit too thick/crispy on outside, can't explain it.
Had my last pecan Danish after.

Gonna wait for better weather before planting dahlias, maybe end of next week @DirtyGertiefromno30 ? They said on Beechgrove to put them in small pots but keep inside but I don't have anywhere to put them. Wish I had a greenhouse. Think of all the seedlings I would have 🤣🤣
Am leaving dishes for ds1 sod it i did enough. 😄

well, this last week has still been busy - but yesterday , we took that last big bit of furniture to DD1's - it didn't fit in the removal van , and we had misgivings on whether we could fit it in the car . But seats all down , and its a dresser that the top comes off , so we managed to squeeze it in just. Now its just odds and ends to go .
I was there on Thursday to wait in for her new washer ( the old one got plumbed in , but sadly at 14 years old , and sat in our garage for 2 years finished it off - it hadnt got any transportation bolts , so we think the drum had come adrift) so I was able to empty some boxes for her and get loads of rubbish off to the tip too - its on the way home .
Today was quiet day - slept in !! a lovely trip to the garden centre to get in the plants for hanging baskets . I treat myself to new liner material for them - mine are a few years old and in tatters . You can now buy lovely thick coir by the metre to cut to size yourself , so going to give that a go .
This afternoon , I have started to move things around upstairs - sorting out my yarn , cleaning and vacuuming the ( spare 😂) bedrooms etc , and planning my new craft room !!

That sounds like proper comfort food @Thebookofcarolagain😋 . I get what you mean about it being too thick and crunchy on the outside though.
Beechgrove makes it sound so easy doesn’t it, just pop everything in pots and into a greenhouse, meanwhile most of us are just trying to find a warm corner indoors 🤣. Waiting until end of next week sounds sensible to me 👍
And yes, leaving the dishes for Ds1 is fair enough 😁

That dresser mission made me smile @bookbook there’s always one! Fair play getting it in the car though. Must feel great being down to just odds and ends now.
Shame about the washer, but 14 years is a good run. Sitting that long and no transport bolts wouldn’t have helped. Good you could sort things and get a tip run in too .
Today sounds lovely though, nice slower pace. Garden centre trips are never just one thing 😄 .The coir liner sounds a great upgrade, your baskets will look fab.
And a craft room in the making ! That’s exciting! Getting your yarn sorted and having your own space will be so worth it. You will not know yourself!
So glad everything has gone well for your DD & DGS and they are settling in 🤗

And a trop to a garden centre is never wasted nor free🤣🤣 Good idea with the coir though.
Have given up on one film already, too slow and drawn out, trying a Nichola Cage one they are always a good romp. 🤣🤣

Phew! Nice here @DirtyGertiefromno30 , washing is out, shopping done, ds2 came with. Gonna take ds2 to work and go to jet wash, car is covered again! Gonna move it over away from the seagulls who like to sit on cars outside my door.
Got to sort out freezer and sort out the chicken into parcels for freezer. Got a whole chicken for tea on Wed as ds2 is off.
Got pizza for tea tonight, sod it!

Car washed and parked away from the seagulls @DirtyGertiefromno30 Ds1 came down and went to coop so I had a sit and watched the sea. Tide was coming in but a few brave souls in the water 🥶
My mum used to make corned beef hash, I loved it and often with stovies, delish. I never seem to get it as good.

Having a coffee and paracetamol, my back is complaining loudly. Need to muster up the energy to do the chicken and freezer.🫥 Was gonna plant my anenomes but my back is not willing.
When I put the washing out I cut some tulips, pink and blue bells and 2 rununcula flowers so now have 2 jugs in the living room of lovely flowers. By tonight it well smell heavenly.
