I really can't decide, there are a few possibilities. Yours?

Tina Turner (1990) when I was right at the front of the security barrier.
Oasis final tour before their final tour, lol. The chaos and mayhem was just as memorable as seeing them.
Hazel O'Connor at the Cambridge Rock Festival - totally unexpected - seeing an Idol from my teen years.

AllTheGigs · 15/08/2025 21:40

Midnight Oil, Camden Roundhouse, July 2022.

I have seen so so so many gigs but that was just amazing.
Also rans: John Mellencamp at the Düsseldorf Philipshalle in the early 90s
Fury in the Slaughterhouse (with 2 other bands) at the Roman Amphitheater in Xanten in the early 90s
Tom Petty, Essen Grugahalle, early 90s
Crowded House, Cologne Live Music Hall, 2022
Iron Maiden, Donnington 1988

Anjo2011 · 15/08/2025 21:43

George Michael, Royal Opera House 2011.

Squeeze - anywhere. From beginning to end!

Don't like him, but was invited by a friend to see Michael Jackson. Still don't like him, but bloody hell, what a performer. Kudos there despite all else.

EssentiallyDecluttering · 15/08/2025 21:47

Queen at Wembley, 1986.

WhyDoiGiveValuableTime · 15/08/2025 21:50

David gray at Nottingham ice arena back in the 90's. I was on the big screen, however didn't realise my top was sooo low cut!! 😂 Saw elbow at York museum gardens a couple of months ago...... absolutely loved it. Took my 17 year old son to his first ever concert....now he's definitely a fan ❤️

NewGirlInTown · 15/08/2025 22:21

Led Zeppelin reunion at the O2.
They were sensational. I was in ecstasy throughout. The love for them was like a force field through the arena.
Two American guys next to me cried almost throughout.
Top 5 life experience.

Gingercar · 15/08/2025 22:24

INXS playing at Place de la Republique in Paris for free during Fete de la Musique (1992 or 1993?). I managed to squirm my way to the very front. It was amazing, so many people. Right in their heyday.

RedRiverShore5 · 15/08/2025 22:38

Leonard Cohen 2013
Queen, Knebworth
Tom Waits, mid 80s

BlueEyedBogWitch · 15/08/2025 22:49

Prince at the O2 in 2007and again at Leeds in 2014. Superhuman.

The Cure in London, 2022. Probably the best gig of my entire life.

The Pogues at Leeds Academy, December 2007 (I think). Fake snow came down for Fairytale of New York. Chaos.

Carter USM at Hull Tower in 1991. So much fun.

Bruce Springsteen Wembley 2023. The Boss. I cried my eyes out at I’ll See You In My Dreams.

Bombay Bicycle Club at Hull Uni in 2012. Rocked a lot more than I thought they would.

I could go on. I love gigs!

I saw Leonard Coen in 2023, he was amazing. I'm so grateful I got to see him.

Cliffedge25 · 15/08/2025 22:55

Metallica, monsters of rock Donnington park, 1990. Blew my mind, felt it in my chest, stopped me in my tracks. I was mesmerised.

Elbow, wonderful, joyful.

But my all time absolute favourite is the Foo fighters. Holy shit. Every single second, every single song, every single note played, pure heaven. The atmosphere and the vibe, out of this world.

We spend most of our ‘spare’ money on gigs, musicals and theatre so we’ve seen a hell of a lot of amazing and epic performances. I’d have to say though, seeing Jeff Lynne recently, in his home town return to Birmingham, was the best. Simply because (unfortunately due to his health) he has probably played his last ever live gig. If we could have got tickets for the Sunday, we would have gone to see Ozzie on the Saturday in Birmingham but as it was we saw ELO on the Saturday of that epic Brummie weekender. RIP Ozzie and Get Well Jeff ❤️

Ed sheeran in Ipswich last month- meant alot as I'm local and was DC's first gig (DH and I saw him before once years ago so was nice reliving it with a young one)
Love his music and he put on an incredible performance with so much energy and enthusiasm.

Close second would be Linkin Park at MK bowl in 2008....the sun was going down as they played numb and at that time that song meant alot to me so was incredibly moving.

Both were open air evening gigs which I feel have the best atmosphere....

One I would have loved to be at was Robbie Williams at Knebworth.
And there are also quite afew Glasto sets I would have loved to have been apart of.
