Having come across some v misogynistic attitudes across social media on heavy metal boards I thought I would start a thread were is women fans of all things hard and heavy could hang out, feel free to say hi.

Sorry everyone got not replying sooner - we’ve been moving house and it’s been a tad fraught.

I’ve loved metal since I was about 11, like others it was my older brother and friends. Metallica was probably my first love - back then this was probably fairly extreme. I’ve always found it focused my mind (didn’t know I had adhd back then)

New Bad Omens album out today, plus BMTH last week, so I've been working my way through them.

Anyone else given them a listen yet?

What do you think of them?

About half of the BMTH album has sunk in, I love N/A and of course we already had Lost and Darkside.

Bad Omens I only heard today while I was busy so didn't take it in much, but could do with less collabs and more straight up band.

Just been offered a ticket for The Foos next week. Never seen them before

Not really my thing, I guess I'd take a last minute ticket though, and try to learn some songs the day before!

They always put on a good show! Not so heavy but still good.

Just popping back to say the Smashing Pumpkins were fantastic. They put on a really good show.

I've just got tickets for Heilung. Well, a ticket because I want to go to this one alone.

Did anyone go to Download? Anyone been to Bloodstock? I really quite fancy it

Festivals look like too much hard work for me 😁

I thought about getting a ticket just for the Friday at Download but I'd already seen this year the bands who I most wanted to see so decided not to pay the stupid prices.

I'm disabled, so go into access camp which is right next to the arena and you can drive your car on to set up and pack up. I'd not be able to do it without! Though I did really struggle this year with the mud!!

We only did a day at Download this year, we took the DC and went on the Saturday (it was VERY MUDDY). We did the whole weekend at Rock Im Park the weekend before which was excellent - and much better weather 😂

We've got tickets for the whole weekend next year - we're taking the kids 😬

If ACDC headline next year I am taking DC2!

It was ridiculously muddy this year. I was glad I was camping on access!

Have you heard any rumours about next years headliners?

Gojira at the Olympics opening ceremony...was just wild!! They've been top of my list for at least a year and the only band on that list I don't have tickets to see.
