A few weeks ago, I started a thread about lesser known hits from the 1980s. My favourite lesser known 90s songs include.
OMD - walking on the milky way.
Ali Campbell - that look in your eye.
Alisha rules the World - Alisha's attic (not as successful as their other singles but I much preferred it).
How bizarre by OMC. Scarlett with Independent love song (blatant rip off of November rain, but still ace)
You and me against the World by Space.
Deetah_ relax.
Music box _ everything is going to be alright.

Not a song but a band, the Longpigs were brilliant and I rarely hear them played/mentioned now.

Loved 'on and on'
I think Richard Hawley stole the thunder didn't he

Bearpawk · 09/09/2023 23:55

Mazzy star is a classic. I hear it around a lot.oat recently in a really cool slightly grimy looking tapas bar in Barcelona.

TiredMagnolia · 09/09/2023 23:58

Walking on the Milky Way is the tune of my life. I want it played at my funeral and everyone to dance with joy at it.

about 50% of the songs in the thread so far are on my ‘On Repeat’ playlist on Spotify! 🤣

I absolutely love Sparkle by My Life Story. I’m so frustrated that I can’t get it on Spotify (I now live in Canada) but my brother can on c his Spotify in the UK.

I Got a Man - Positive K

There was A huge 90s music thread on here a couple of years ago and I was inspired to make a playlist of all the songs mentioned.

Gillstuck · 10/09/2023 00:11

Confide In Me by Kylie.

The premise of the song is even creepier now with the advances in technology.
