Some have been calling it the Mumsnet election, so we want to know what you think - whether you'll bother to go and vote at all, and which political leader ticks your box.

This survey is open to every Mumsnetter in the UK. We will be repeating this survey regularly between now and the election, so please look out for it again. We'll be asking about topical issues in future surveys, too.

Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 in Boden or Amazon vouchers.

Thanks and good luck!

wow

I view myself as a relatively well educated - articulate (ish) middle class ( dare I say) Mother of 6

I have never been on netmums so have no idea what their clientele is but ...

I would shag Gordon four times over rather than snog David Cameron

His smooth skin makes my skin crawl. Not even a proper politician in my eyes. Proper politicians live and breathe politics from teenage years. They don't just walk out of Oxford into some pre - disposed job....

politician ? 'pah'
leader ?

NotAnOtter · 08/02/2010 20:33

as a 15 year old girl at school I campaigned for Bob Cryer ..I LOVED politics with a passion - I marched for the miners and travelled to nuclear bases with CND

I had a passion

I do not sense any such heartfelt emotion from Cameron

I do not want to lead our country

Mini rant alert!
Heard Nick Clegg on Radio yesterday ...utter twit.
What I want to know is why can't we have people like Vince Cable or Tony Benn heading their respective parties?
Why does it have to be people like Nick Clegg,David Cameron and Tony Blair[Gordon Brown not included as there by default..even though I suspect he does have principles]the other 3 could be triplets. They are career politicians who really don't give a rats arse[imo].
Feel totally despondent. There are good people out there so why do we end up with these people?
Our chance to widen the door for 'normal'people to enter politics has passed.I feel depressed by it and have to say I think that on voting form there should be an option to tick 'none of the above'maybe then change will happen.

NotAnOtter · 08/02/2010 20:43

agree totally

Tony Benn what a leader he would have been ( not so Hillary )

claraquack · 09/02/2010 16:43

Really stupid small point but could we have an "other" on where we live? I am overseas but still have the right to vote and fully intend to use it if I can find someone to do my proxy vote for me.

I did tick the box where my vote will be registered though, that is probably what you actually wanted.
