Do you drink gin? We’d like to understand how and when you drink it, what you think about gin, and what you’d like to see in a newly developed gin. Gin

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnet users who drink gin.

All who complete the survey will receive an entry into our monthly prize draw where 3 Mumsnet users will win a £150 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Mumsnet gin does not appeal at all. I like Mumsnet but I don't see it as such a strong brand that I would start making fairly expensive purchases (assuming it's good gin) just because MN was on the packaging. I'll stick to local small batch producers thanks.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/04/2021 10:54

Obviously it should be called AIBU 😂

FadedRed · 20/04/2021 11:13

You need to add ‘retired’ to your employment question.

OnlyYellowRoses · 20/04/2021 11:15

Done

idontlikealdi · 20/04/2021 11:19

I just completed this got to the end and it kicked me out.

Anyway, I think a mumsnet gin a dreadful cliched idea whatever it was called. Mumsent endorsed chicken nuggets, fine. Mumsnet on a gin label, I would actively avoid.

Whenasuitcasejustwontdo · 20/04/2021 11:23

Same here, just completed and been kicked out!

MrsMackesy · 20/04/2021 11:23

Is the Pope Catholic?

Crowsandshivers · 20/04/2021 12:55

Completed it and kicked out.

Why would Mumsnet a website market to (but not exclusively for), mothers, make a product that is traditionally known as Mother's Ruin?

That's was my suggested name for a Mumsnet gin....

I wish I'd thought of that Grin

ShirleyPhallus · 20/04/2021 13:54

I’ve completed it but I think it’s a really terrible idea. I certainly wouldn’t buy a MN gin, I come here for advice on breastfeeding and to discuss masterchef but I’d leave gin to the professionals

katy1213 · 20/04/2021 14:07

Mother's ruin!

JensonsAcolyte · 20/04/2021 14:27

Well I’d buy it.

I think it’s a great idea. But do it properly with a small batch distiller, don’t just get Greenalls to mass produce it like so many other ‘craft gin’ brands.

Funnily enough, that was what I came up with as well! Gin Grin
jackstini · 20/04/2021 15:13

Most Mumsnetty survey subject ever!

SkunkButRug · 20/04/2021 15:29

Done Gin

ImNotThatPathetic · 20/04/2021 15:31

@FreezerBird it was almost my suggestion. I should have gone with it.

EvilOnion · 20/04/2021 15:35

I also thought Mother's Ruin originally but thought it was the obvious answer so went for Ginetics instead.

Starting to think I should have stuck with my first 🤣

PickAChew · 20/04/2021 16:17

I though of The Mumsnet Gin so a bottle would last forever

MummyBtothree · 20/04/2021 16:18

OhSweetNuthin · 20/04/2021 16:27

This is a terrible idea.
I love gin but I would never buy a Mumsnet gin. I would be embarrassed to offer it to guests.

LittleMissNaice · 20/04/2021 16:34

Gin is a complete sentence?
LTGin?
Oh do Gin off dear

Camdenish · 20/04/2021 16:36

I went for Mother’s Ruin too but I wish I’d thought of YANBU.
