We’re working with a charity and would like to find out how you may feel should you ever be faced with having a child in hospital.

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnet users who have at least one child aged 0 to 18.

We're aware that the subject matter of the survey is sensitive, so please don't feel obligated to complete the survey if it's too upsetting or uncomfortable for you.

Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw where one respondent will win a £300 voucher and two runners up will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks

done.
my best friend had a toddler and then gave birth to twins, one of whom was veyr sick, and wa in hospital for 5 months.

There was no accommodation, not even a pull out bed.
She had to be at home with the toddler and baby twin, and had had a C-section.
She doesn't drive anyway.
her husband had about 5 minutes off work.
Every day she made the bus journey with a newborn and a toddler form outskirts of London to large London hospital to spend time with her other baby, and then home again.

Bloody awful miserable experience.

I did it but got a message at the end saying there were too many people accessing the site & to try again later. Does that mean it hasn't worked?!

Our son was on NICU for 11 weeks - before the Ronald McDonald House was opened at the hospital! Fortunately we were local, and got a grant towards our travel costs/expenses. He's only been admitted overnight twice since then, and both times I've been given a fold-out bed so that I could overnight in his room.
