Done.

I bet there won't be many responders who will say yes I'm happy renting. It's a raw raw deal in this countryConfused

Done!
And I'm a happy renter :)

Damnautocorrect · 16/03/2015 21:58

Done, my income increase to get the multiples to buy a property (where the mortgage would be less!) was mental.
I'm really pleased your covering this. It's bloody miserable (for some) renting with kids

Done.

Its so frustrating; renting and trying to save for a deposit on a house.

We can either have a completely boring life, do nothing, eat cheap food all the time and save as much as we can. Or we do what we do and live our lives, pay our rent and bills and have a couple of hundred quid left for saving. It is shocking.

I almost feel like the only option is to live with parents to save better, but why would me, my husband, two children and pets want to do that?

Dont get me wrong, its not killing me to rent, but I know deep down in my heart it is wasting money each month. I would rather be paying for my own house.

MissSmiley · 17/03/2015 18:12

As usual no option to put two children of the same age so it looks like we have 4 children instead of 5 (including twins) often find this with tick box surveys.

Jennyba · 18/03/2015 10:33

all done would actually love to be apart of this as have had such a bad experience to raise awareness of the issues of private renting

Done, but really difficult to answer the question about how much more money we'd need to be able to buy so I just left it blank!

MaudieAtkinsonsGardeningHat · 19/03/2015 12:01

Done - but there wasn't an option to state saving for a deposit. We do have enough to save each month (luckily!) but have only been saving for just over a year so haven't saved anywhere near enough yet.

Hopefully we'll get there though

PissedOffRestingFace · 19/03/2015 15:49

Done. As with previous posters, I agree the extra income to buy question is tricky as I would need to be able to save for a deposit on top of the additional monthly income for the mortgage payments.

Agree with others on here that question 4 about extra income we would need was hard to answer. We could afford a mortgage, just haven't got the deposit together yet - we have 2 children and have been saving for deposit for nearly 3 years. We have a mere £8,000 saved. Would be more but had to move house and that cost.

It is depressing. We save every month but sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, houses are just too damn expensive, esp where we live and work.

pinkrocker · 19/03/2015 17:35

Done. I'll never be able to afford to buy in my home town thanks to people buying-to-let and people buying holiday homes here.
I'm not bitter, at least I don't need to fix problems that arise in our house, my landlady...is great!
