Done but I found the question about the extra income required in order to buy a bit tricky. I would need enough to save for a deposit then enough for the payments.

Done. Was a bit of an eye opener as to how renting has impacted on our lives though.

Interesting survey. I am no longer in UK so have not filled in but would be interested to hear results.

I had the same thought as chevron about that question - if answering I wouldn't have known how to answer that.

Done. For us the issue is not what a mortgage would cost per month now but what it would cost if interest rates increased to normal levels. A suitable home would be min 6 times our joint income.

This survey keeps crashing when I type into the "other" boxes. I've tried several times. It gets to so many words, freezes the screen then safari closes down and reopens - clearing all my answers. I am on my iPhone (iOS 8.2), wifi and 3G make no difference.

Done. For us the issue is that we sold our home to free up equity so my husband could set up his own business. ironically, to rent is much more than our mortgage was monthly, by quite a considerable amount.

It would be difficult for us to buy again until he has 2-3 years of accounts as a self employed person, so unless we win the lottery, we are stuck renting for a while.
