This is the feedback thread for the 400 Mumsnetters with children aged 1 - 12 who have been testing out Biotiful Dairy’s new cultured dairy drinks and snacks. 200 Mumsnetters were asked to test Biotiful Kefir Quark Squeezy snack in Vanilla Cheesecake flavour and Strawberry Cheesecake flavour, and 200 other Mumsnetters were asked to test Biotiful Kefir Slurpy drink in Strawberry flavour and Mango flavour.

I liked the packaging and the size of the snack/drink. The Strawberry flavour was the favourite and tasted yummy.

Kids weren’t too keen on the vanilla cheesecake flavour - not sure it worked as a snack.

Yes, I would recommend as it’s hard to find healthy lunchbox snacks and these are great as they taste good & have no sugar in them.

We tried the Strawberry & Mango flavours of slurpy drinks

My little girl liked both of the flavours, but strawberry was her favourite out of the two, she liked the way of slurping the product and how it was easy to drink from the pack. I liked the packaging, easy to fit in lunch boxes for preschool and my little girl was able to open it herself and if she wanted to save some at home she could pop the lid back on and put it back in the fridge.

Nothing my 4 year old liked the product taste and consistency and I liked the packaging and ease of using the product

It's great that there's no added sugar, easy to pop in a lunchbox for a healthy snack and my little girl liked both of the flavours she tried.

We all tried the strawberry kefir drink

The strawberry taste wasn’t false or overpowering. Not too sweet.

The plastic packaging. It is another product that produces extra waste. I’m sticking to homemade kefir.

The squeezy snacks - strawberry and vanilla flavours

1. What did you like about the products and flavours that you tried?

They didn't taste artificial as some yoghurts and similar products do. The squeezy tube was a fun way to enjoy them for my 2 year old. They seemed to fill him up more than regular yoghurts, too.

The only thing I wasn't keen on was the price - it's a lot to pay for an individual product in a weekly shop - might work when out and about and need to buy a snack, though

The health benefits - and the fact that the ingredients list isn't pumped full of chemicals

1. What did you dislike about the product and flavours that you tried? Slightly too sweet but I’m used to natural yoghurt so that may be why! Not as sweet as other flavoured yoghurts that I have tried and with a nice creamy texture

My son said that the slurpy drink had a nice consistency and tasty flavour. Not too sweet.

I would definitely and have already recommended it to other mums. Perfect for lunch boxes and full of good bacteria.

Packaging tricky and my kids didnt like the taste

Sorry I wouldn't reccomend but am impressed by good bacteria

Both the vanilla and strawberry cheesecake snack flavours.

Love the health benefits, and that these can be offered as a healthy treat. My daughter enjoyed the strawberry flavour more than the vanilla as she didn't think the vanilla was sweet enough.

The tube was a little troublesome to suck from. I think it would be better if these were sold in multipacks at a cheaper cost.

Health benefits. Not much like it on the market aimed at children.

We tried the vanilla cheesecake squeezy snack and the mango slurpy drink.

Easyness, quick snack/drink, very convenient.

The vanilla cheesecake snack was very bland and not sweet enough for my dd. I tried it too and thought the same. Very gloopy texture. I also thought they were quite expensive for what they are. No complaints about the mango slurpy drink 👍🏻

Probably not, theres lots of other similar products that taste a million times better.

Nice fresh flavours, gut friendly bacteria and not too sweet. My boys loved them as a treat in their packed lunches.

It's a healthy alternative to Petit Filous which is rammed of sugar. This is better for teeth and tummies.

We tried the slurpy drinks in Mango flavour and Strawberry flavour.

They are very rich and creamy. We liked the smooth texture and the more delicate, not over sweet taste.

Myself and my eldest child didn't dislike anything. My younger child said she wanted a stronger flavour but she was still happy to drink them.

They are a nice fresh taste.

1. We tried the slurpy drink in mango and the quark Squeezy in vanilla cheesecake.

1. I liked the bright packaging which was appealing to my 4 year old. He loved the concept of the squeezy quark - think it reminded him of a calippo he'd once had on holiday! He liked the vanilla cheesecake flavour, which I was slightly surprised about as it wasn't very sweet and definitely had a 'cheesey' taste to it. He ate it all though and asked if we could have it again. Liked the mango flavour of the slurpy drink too.

1. The packaging on the squeezy went a bit soggy at the top as my son was eating it and he found the squeezy a bit difficult to manage - I had to help him with it so not sure it's something I'd put in a lunchbox for this age.

1. I would recommend, although the price might be a bit off putting to some. My son struggles with constipation so I'm tempted to try these again and see if they help him at all.

Children enjoyed them.

Nothing, they seemed very good. Just a shame I couldn't get it in Tesco, I had to go out of my way to find them in a different shop.

Great handy snack, good for when they get home from school.

Strawberry and mango drinks. They were great really yummy would definitely buy these again!

We tried the quark squeezy snack in both the strawberry cheesecake and vanilla
cheesecake flavours.

We froze the vanilla one and tried the strawberry one as it came. Liked that they were creamy and that they could be frozen to feel like more of a special treat. Both flavours were nice but my kids preferred the strawberry.

Thought the flavours could have been more pronounced.

Yes I'd recommend. Easy snack to eat on the go. Liked that it was healthy but tasted good like a sweet treat.

We tested the squeezy vanilla cheesecake and strawberry cheesecake flavours.
We really liked both of these flavours as they were not too sweet but still felt like a bit of a treat due to the packaging. I loved the no added sugar. The tube also made it feel like part of a meal which we liked.
Agree with others that I’d rather get them in a multipack of seven.
I’d recommend them as a healthier snack than yoghurt and a good way of getting good bacteria in, especially after antibiotics in winter.

We loved how easy it was to eat/drink and also the taste of it. Wasn’t too sweet either.

Really nice strawberry taste from both, not to sweet or synthetic tasting. 4 year old said they were "so yummy".

Healthy, low sugar snack, lovely taste and good for the tummy.

They seemed quite healthy. Different snack the children.

My 12 year old and 5 year old both tried the drinks and neither liked them unfortunatly. One said it was too thin, I think she expected it to be closer ti a yogurt they like.

Easy to put in lunchbox. I liked the consistency and taste.

My son is used you thicker yogurts from those pouches and kept calling it 'water yogurt' as it was too thin for him. But had it been in a bottle / cup I don't think he would have bat an eyelid.

We tried the kefir drink in strawberry and mango flavours.

They came in nice packaging and a, good choice of flavours.

My 1 year old and 3 year old did not like them. 3 year old is having a fussy moment so i will try her again. However my 1 year old tried them multiple times and pulled faces and pushed them asay afterwards. I think they were not quite sweet enough. I will try them again when they are older as i love the concept kf getting kifer into them. They are also quite runny compared to what i was expecting and therefore kids made a mess when eating them as when they are squeezed at all it runs out very easily. So not self feeding at all. I also think pouch sizes may be just a little too big for my litte ones, a range of sizes and a bulk buy option may be good. They are a little expensive if giving to kids everyday.

I would recommend them as kifer is excellent for gut flora and if you child likes them i think it makes a sensible choice.
