Zodus, a behavioural science start up, is looking to test their problem-solving game and is looking for Mumsnetters who are 45+ to test the simulation game. The testing will involve playing a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 rounds of the game (each round takes 2-3 minutes) 5 times over a 2 month period. You will not have to play all rounds in one session, you can resume at any time during the test period. In total, it will take about 2 hours of your time (over the 2 month period).

Here’s what Zodus has to say: “FutureSpace is a gamified simulation that captures decision-making in problems similar to retirement. FutureSpace invites players to set goals and then challenges achievements of these with different scenarios of news, events and opportunities. Zodus’ ambition is to help organisations design policies, products and services that work with the grain of human nature.”

If you’re selected, you will be sent a link to the game and will be asked to complete a minimum of 25 rounds over the course of a 2 month period. We will also send you detailed instructions. There will be no feedback thread on Mumsnet.

MNers who meet the minimum requirement of 5 rounds in each test will receive a £20 voucher and will also be entered into a prize draw and one person will receive a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Please sign up here if you’d like to take part.

Thanks and good luck!

The survey finished rather abruptly! Were there any more questions after consent to use my email address? Xmas Confused

JustineBMumsnet · 20/12/2018 13:18

@Philomensapie apologies you felt the survey end was abrupt! That was the last question, so you're fully signed up - we'll be in touch in the new year if you're selected.

Phew! Thanks! Xmas Grin

FadedRed · 20/12/2018 16:28

Well I had a look at the first page, but am unable to answer question 4 as i’m retired but not ‘solely reliant on the state pension. So does this mean I am not in the target group? I can’t be the only person in this situation.

JustineBMumsnet · 20/12/2018 16:55

@FadedRed - apologies - please answer for what you did prior to retirement. We've updated this question for most surveys, but it looks like it's slipped through the net on this occasion! Xmas Blush

Thanks JustineB. I’m signed up!

Shockers · 21/12/2018 05:09

I didn’t answer the question about the career of the highest earner because, a) it’s not me, and b) there’s no category for what DH does (something vaguely artistic).

I think I’m signed up anyway.

Seagullslanding · 21/12/2018 22:30

Marketers dream that I am.Confused

EggysMom · 15/01/2019 18:46

I've answered the questions but I cannot fathom out how on earth to play the game, it's waaaay to complex for me. I've asked to come out of the test group.

Leftabadreview · 15/01/2019 19:25

I am not comfortable with this at all... they're asking for an awful lot of personal information. Why do they need our postcode, health details, income, etc? I'm not giving all that info for a £20 voucher!

Leftabadreview · 15/01/2019 19:28

This is what I got when I clicked to read their privacy policy Confused

@Leftabadreview

I just came on here to see if anyone else was feeling the same as me...and saw your post. Totally agree, far too many questions being asked before the game is even begun. It kind of makes Justine's statement on the recent 'you've been chosen to take part' email, a bit pointless:

"We'll share this screen name (but not any of the personal details you gave when applying) with Zodus."

Regret to say, I too am not comfortable with the number of and type of questions being asked, so will also be pulling out.

butterflymum · 15/01/2019 19:38

@JustineBMumsnet

Meant to copy you in on my post above.

Really hate doing this, but was certainly not led to think we would be asked so many personal details, regardless if they can't be linked back to our 'real' self. Just too intrusive methinks, and as Leftabadreview has now added, an unreadable privacy policy.
