Tester here:

Nice scent. The children have been sleeping well, so hoping that isn't just a coincidence. The children really liked the purple colour and the bubble bath didn't exacerbate their eczema. The shampoo did a good job and smelt really nice. The washcloths were great for my own trip to hospital recently! Everyone loved the bath toys too.

Would you buy the products again and would you recommend the products to a friend or family member?

Yes, happily buy again and would recommend for all the reasons above. I can't see us buying the washcloths regularly as it did seem a bit wasteful for everyday use but would be great for trips away etc.

My biggest challenge is getting either child (3 years , and 9 Months) to stay/sit still and be safe in the bath. I almost always get in and bath with them so I don’t get back ache leaning over the side and trying to hold them. I love our baths together.

My current biggest problem with bathtime is getting DC to accept that they don’t need to fill our very deep bath full to the brim...I’ve not discovered a solution Confused

Dixiestampsagain · 09/04/2018 04:52

Non-tester- our biggest bathtime hurdle has always been hairwashing. The only way we could overcome it was by having an extra towel for our dd to hold over her face while she tipped her (very long) hair back to be tinsed. There have been lots of tears!!

I loved the scent of the whole range. The bubble bath was a particular favourite in our house, along with the massage lotion. We weren't so keen on the massage mist as it felt a bit 'tacky' to the touch, even after lots of rubbing in. DD is a little young to appreciate the bath toys but Daddy thought they were great!

Would you buy the products again and would you recommend the products to a friend or family member?
We don't have an Asda particularly close to us compared to other supermarkets so for that reason I am unlikely to repurchase. I would happily recommended most of the range (barring the massage mist) to friends and family. The wipes actually came in super useful too, especially when travelling or having an out of routine day so would especially recommend those.

I really like the shampoo, I liked the subtle smell and that you don't need a great amount for it to do the job. I thought the bath toys were great, I like that they don't have squirts holes so are really easy to keep clean. I like the wash cloths, I think these would be great for taking on holiday for quick clean ups when traveling.

I would definitely recommend the bath toys as they are easy to keep clean and the linking ducks kept my children amused. I would also buy/ recommend the bubble bath and shampoo as it smells great and was so gentle on my children's skin. I personally don't use talcum powder as part of our routine and wouldn't start to now.

bec4everuk1 · 09/04/2018 11:38

Non tester:- biggest bath hurdle for us was my son and daughter being opposites so my son hates a bath and daughter loves a bath but we have found that by them having a bath together it calms my son down and she has made bath time a whole easier experience for all.
Bed time routine battle for us is my son not liking the dark we've tried several night lights but finally found the one that works for my son and the bed time routine is now starting to get easier. x

pinkflump · 09/04/2018 13:26

Non-tester - I have to do bathtime with my two DDs at least 2-3 hours before bedtime otherwise they become completely wired! Also, my DD has very long and thick hair so washing it an hour or less before bedtime means she will be going to bed with wet hair, not ideal.

I really liked most of the products sent by ASDA. My favourite product was the wash cloths, they were perfect for nights when my little boy was too tired for a bath but still needed a quick wash. I also really liked the bubble bath, it made lots of bubbles and smelled lovely. I was a bit hesitant to try it as most bubble baths irritate my babies skin, but he had no problem with the Asda one. The bath toys went down a treat, especially the blocks with holes in the bottom!

I will definitely be buying the wash cloths, shampoo and bubble bath again. I have already recommended these products to my friends with kids and will continue to do so.

newmummalion · 10/04/2018 11:16

Non tester. By biggest hurdle at the moment is getting my son used to being bathed and getting into a routine. He's 5 months and we still don't have a good bedtime routine sorted.

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 10/04/2018 11:57

Non tester - biggest bath-time hurdle is hair washing, we always seem to get soap in the eyes and my DS hates it now, we tried one of those hat things but it didn't work. It would be great to try and make it fun somehow so he isn't scared of it.

My just turning 4 YO DS HATES having his hair washed and I am honestly all out of ideas other than to try my upmost to keep water from his eyes!

sharond101 · 10/04/2018 12:28

Washing hair and the dreaded soap in the eyes. I try to pretend shower head is a rainstorm and play with them hoping it will be fun. Sometimes works other times doesn't.

MummyBtothree · 10/04/2018 12:54

Non-Tester = youngest DS is five and bathtime can be a struggle sometimes, getting him in the tub to be exact!, once he is in he's often fine and enjoys it but I have to bribe him with nice bubble bath and lots of bath toys!.

My DC are teenagers, so the biggest hurdles are getting them out of the bathroom and not spending 7 hours in the shower during school holidays. Going to bed is not so much of a problem, as I go to bed before them but getting up in the morning is a whole different story altogether! It is like prizing barnacles from rocks. I think Asda need to make a WAKE UP range!

TheWizardofWas · 10/04/2018 14:15

Non tester; it used to be getting waterphbic baby DD into bath. Now she is a teen, it is getting her out again. Will sleep in there, after reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid or the Beano, if I didnt pull the plug.

I have twin five month olds, trying to get them both bathed, dried and dressed can take a long time... especially as they're now teething!

Treacletoots · 10/04/2018 15:41

We liked the range. Overall the smell was subtle but calming, rinsed well and bubbled ok (could have maybe bubbled a bit more)

The wipes and shampoo we didn't end up using but we did really like the massage mist spray. Big thumbs up from all of us.

Would I buy it again. Yes. If we were in Asda I'd buy it over the usual suspects.

Would I recommend it to family and friend, sure, it performed comparable to the main brand and was a fair.bit cheaper.

SalutHallo · 10/04/2018 16:44

Non tester here! Biggest bath time hurdle is having him stay still long enough to clean him - especially the nose! Biggest bed time hurdle is dressing him for bed when he’s really tired - works best when there’s 2 of us there and one can distract!

Runningshorts · 10/04/2018 16:47

My biggest hurdle is cradle cap. Both of my children suffered well into their toddler years.

telling us what your biggest bath and bedtime hurdles with your DCs are and how you overcome them!

The biggest bathtime hurdles were overcoming the fear of bubbles getting into their eyes and mouth, we overcame this by switching to Little Angels and wearing a scuba diving kit ! Worked wonders

I struggle with drying my 3 year olds hair after a bath, she hates me rubbing her hair with the towel and she won't go near the hairdryer

My baby loves the bath so much that she screams when she has to get out. We have found warming towels / pjs ready for when she gets out has helped a bit. It has got easier and better as she has got older.

Ljgstorm · 10/04/2018 22:01

I tested the products with my five month old.

Overall, what did you like best about the Little Angels bedtime bath range? Which was your favourite product in the range and why?
The last few months have been a complete learning curb as a new mum. One of the challenges i found was getting into the soothing bed time bath routine. My dc loves bath times but finds them too exciting and never really calmed down after them. They definitely weren't the soothing activity i thought they would be.

The Asda bath range of products were just what I needed. The smell is very relaxing and not too overpowering. I have found that using a small amount of the bubble bath has settled my dc as she is too distracted by the bubbles to get too excited. The bubble bath foams up very nicely with a small amount used.

The shampoo was the first shampoo I had used on my dc and I was very impressed. Having an extremely wiggly child I couldn't help but get a tiny bit on her face when rinsing however the shampoo seems very mild and did not cause her any irritation. Like the bubble bath it has a very calming smell that's not too overpowering. Dc hair smelt wonderful after the bath.

I loved the washcloth! They are an excellent idea for when bathing is not an option. I have taken them out with me when visiting family as i can get dc ready for bed before travelling home which eases her transition into her cot. The cloths are thicker than a normal baby wipe and one cloth is the perfect size for a full top abd tail wash. They are moisturising and left dc skin feeling soft. I would highly recommend them!

As with pp, the product I liked the least was the oil mist. In theory it is a great product. It is very easy to apply and use, however I felt that it was quite sticky. My dc legs were still somewhat sticky a few hours after applying it, even when only a small amount was used. That said, it is very moisturising. I preferred to use the moisturiser lotion which is excellent.

The toys were a huge hit with dc. We only used them for the occasional morning bath to prevent bath time from becoming too over stimulating in the evening. The jug is also a very good product. I found it was an excellent size to use as well as for my dc to play with.

Would you buy the products again and would you recommend the products to a friend or family member?

Yes. I do not live close to an Asda however I would travel to Asda for them, especially the washcloths.
