Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

Signed up for me and DD1 (12)

MumInTheCity · 19/01/2018 18:33

Signed up for me and DD (12) to try. It is a bit pink and girly for us, but hey, I'm willing to overlook that for the sake of free stuff Grin

KatherinaMinola · 19/01/2018 18:55

For the love of god! We don't need all this pink, pampering nonsense just because we're menstruating!

Yes, this. Another one who can't believe MN is promoting this nonsense.

Really MN - do better.

KatherinaMinola · 19/01/2018 18:56

What's the point of supporting campaigns like Let Toys Be Toys etc if you're going to pander to this kind of shit, MNHQ?

CaraBosse1 · 19/01/2018 19:16

But look at the MNetters signing up for this, saying their DD is struggling with the onset of periods, etc ... how will a solitary biscuit in a packet and a "sleep gel" help?

Goes off to hug tree with Badweek.

Majuna · 19/01/2018 19:35

Sweatybox/bettybox/boxofshite

NoNoCharlieRascal · 19/01/2018 19:46

£12.99 a month!! 😂 You're havin' a giraffe.

What a load of pretty pink overpriced bollocks.

JugglingMummyof2 · 19/01/2018 20:39

Oohh yes please for DD1, DD2 and me.

JugglingMummyof2 · 19/01/2018 20:47

My word - such anger.
Nobody needs this - but my girls and I would like to try it.
Nobody needs wine, hot chocolate, crisps, 99's with flakes and strawberry syrup dripping down the sides but some people would like all of these things.

Lovelilies · 19/01/2018 20:54

I'm just doing it for the free stuff! 🤷🏼‍♀️

StewPots · 19/01/2018 20:57

Survey done. DD16 and I suffer from horrendous periods so some good products and something nice to cheer us up would be very welcome :)

CaraBosse1 · 19/01/2018 21:00

Nobody needs wine, hot chocolate, crisps, 99's with flakes and strawberry syrup dripping down the sides but some people would like all of these things

Then buy these things ^ instead of wasting money on the crap in these period boxes.

Badweekjustgotworse · 19/01/2018 21:42

@stewpots I’m sorry your daughter is having a shitty time with her periods please go to your gp.

It takes on average 10 years for endometriosis to be diagnosed in the U.K. part of the reason is because people including a large number of healthcare professionals don’t take us women seriously when we report high levels of pain and heavy blood loss.

I’ve been there and vividly remember being at my gps when I was a young woman lacking in confidence but suffering incapacitating periods and being told I was a hypochondriac.... roll forward 15 years of chronic pain and anemia, and it took infertility investigations to diagnose Stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis, three surgeries and 2 rounds of ivf later....

Meanwhile this crap is being peddled, no wonder people don’t take menstruation seriously, give us a biro a lip balm and a (single??!!) fucking grapefruit tea bag and we’ll all be skipping off merrily on our way.

I’m not suggestion your daughter has endometriosis, but who knows maybe a conversation with a healthcare professional might do her more good than a patronising box of crap that will do nothing but bleed your bank balance!

AriadneThread · 19/01/2018 21:47

Is femcare a real word? As in replacing "feminine hygiene"? Sorry to hijack.

luanda111 · 19/01/2018 22:05

What a great idea, thanks for the chance. We will definitely apply.

Badweekjustgotworse · 19/01/2018 22:11

Confused fuck it, off to hug a tree and burn a bra or two while I’m at it.

Enjoy your boxes ladies

Follyfoot · 19/01/2018 22:17

Or how about:
Sainsbury tampons x 32 £1.40
Carefree liners x 20 £0.85

So £2.25 in total a month and no need to ever run out.

Cant believe Mumsnet is advertising such nonsense.

Pink Parcel. Luxe curation. Femcare. Grin Grin Grin

QOD · 19/01/2018 22:18

Lol

PeaceLoveAndDixie · 19/01/2018 22:29

The reason I've signed up for my dd is to counteract the image she gets from sanpro advertising that she can go rollerblading/ swimming in a tiny white bikini/ horseback riding etc....when actually she feels rubbish, bloated, tired and in pain. I don't think promoting the notion that women don't have to stop for anything is doing us any favours. Taking time out to indulge and relax is quite important imo. I do agree that packaging and ratio of good stuff/tat may not make me sign up to pay for these but I'm keen to try them out.

bettyboop54 · 19/01/2018 22:37

we would also love to try the 2 beauty boxes out as ive very dry skin and my daughter is 26 she uses ELEMIS but would love to test these 2 boxes out,so we would love to be chosen to test the beauty boxes out

EduCated · 19/01/2018 23:19

I lost it at luxe curation.

Well and the bit where I don’t have a daughter, but that’s a minor detail.

Davros · 19/01/2018 23:22

Sweatybox/bettybox/boxofshite
Ha ha! What a load of shite, DD (14) agrees

MadameJosephine · 19/01/2018 23:31

Thank god, I read the first half a dozen posts and thought I’d slipped into some kind of parallel universe.

Ridiculous bloody idea!

What's the point of supporting campaigns like Let Toys Be Toys etc if you're going to pander to this kind of shit, MNHQ?

^totally agree ^

alltheworld · 19/01/2018 23:36

What happens if you are irregular? Do the boxes come at the same time every month. This is sheer commerciality

PhilODox · 19/01/2018 23:38

"Unites periods and pampering"
?
Oh good, is that so I can strap them both to a single rocket and send them into Lebanon in one easy action?

Wink

I quite fancy a feminist hot water bottle though...
