Whilst I've heard of AVEENO, I didn't realise they did a baby range. I was pleasantly surprised with this product.

Yes, my 11month olds skin feels so soft and nourished.

• Did you think it was was better than the products you currently use on your baby’s skin?

I usually use a white soft paraffin on DS as he has dry skin and normal baby lotion doesn't moisturise him enough. This was as good as the brand I currently use in keeping his skin soft with the added bonus that I didn't spend ages rubbing it in and the pleasant smell.

• Were you surprised to find out AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and oat essence?

Yes, I've never heard of a cream containing it.

• Would you say the product helped keep baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours?

Definitely, his skin is lovely at the minute.

This is the best part, a wriggly baby is a nightmare at the best of times. I didn't have to spend ages trying to massage it in as it seemed to just sink into his skin.

I tried some on my 3 year old who has mild eczema on his legs, it has relieved it after a couple of applications and he has itched less. He also said it didn't sting which I was surprised at.

I don't often use anything on LO's skin - unlike me, they don't have eczema so haven't needed anything so far.

No, I've bought Aveeno products myself before and knew it contained oats - oat baths are good for dry skin conditions I've heard.

Yes, LO's skin was lovely and soft.

Yes, it wasn't sticky at all. I actually prefer something a little more oily for my own skin, but for LO's normal skin it was fine.

It wasn't moisturising enough for my eczema, and LO doesn't have dry skin.

Although it was nice, after using it I'm not sure LO needs a lotion just now - but I'd certainly consider buying it if they got dry skin in the future.

I actually already have some and use it! I do like own brand and the standard creams for use on skin conditions but as a general moisturiser its fab.

No as I had read about this and this was why I wanted to use the cream initially.

• Would you say the product helped keep baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours?

Honestly, no. It worked, but with children of my sons age (18 month) they move around so much creams do tend to rub off. He also gets bathed daily. However that said I could still smell it on his skin, even after a day at Nursery.

Yes very. Again like stated previously with my son wiggling about like a worm, you want something that you can quickly slap on and know the chance of the cream being half left on their clothes or carpet being slim.

He suffers from the odd patch of scurvy skin and it did help this, I also used it on my legs after shaving and it was very soothing.

If on offer yes, I tend to use own brand products or aqueous cream as they are effective and cheaper. This is brilliant stuff though and I would recommend to other mums.

Did you find AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion nourishing for your baby’s skin?

Yes, it was really soft and had a reassuring gentle almost medical smell.

Did you think it was better than the products you currently use on your baby’s skin?

My baby's skin isn't actually that dry, it used to be, as did his older siblings skin, but we started using AVEENO bath wash products in the bath with all of them and their skin is mostly quite lovely now! We didn’t use any moisturizer outside the bath when they do have dry skin patches so this is great and I trust it as a product because of our success with other products in the AVEENO range. It worked really well.

Were you surprised to find out AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and oat essence?

I wasn't surprised because we use other Aveeno products, it's one of the compelling things about them! And I first encountered Aveeno recommended as a brand when my children had chicken pox, for the soothing oatiness.

Would you say the product helped keep baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours?

It definitely kept my baby moisturised over a day, though my DH tried it too, his hands are like dragon scales, and he needed to use it more often.

It was fantastically fast absorbing, not sticky and quite tactile to apply, skin felt soft immediately and I like the smell.

It provided fast relief for my DH but my DC don't have very dry skin.

Following the trial, would you swap your usual brand of baby lotion for AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion?

This batch of AVEENO will last us a while! But yes I would definitely buy it again, possibly not for my DH, but definitely for my baby or older DC. A great product to have on hand!

3.Not really. I've used Aveeno products previously on my own skin and know that they use some natural ingredients. It's comforting however to know that's what's been used on my DD's skin.

I'm not using anything regularly, I use aveeno the non 'baby' branded version from time to time. it was probably a little lighter and therefore easier to dress him after as it quickly absorbed

Yes. It left my baby's skin silky smooth and soft. It wasn't at all greasy and just seemed to just sink in.

Yes. I use a baby oil for baby massage but this cream is much better to use.

No. I've used the bath cream (which I also love) so I knew it would be made from natural ingredients.

Yes, but you wouldn't realise it was because of the cream. It just left my baby's skin lovely and silky and there was no greasy trace of the cream.

Did you find AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion nourishing for your baby’s skin?

Moisturisers are very important in our household as "Allergy Baby" has eczema and it is pretty severe all over her legs and arms. We have used over 10 different ointments and lotions (some prescription) to no real avail. Using this lotion did seem to alleviate some of the dryness and improve the appearance of her eczema. Given the relatively short period of trial use, it is unclear whether it would fully get rid of the eczema.

Did you think the AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was better than the products you currently use on your baby’s skin?

We have used a long list of lotions and AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was better in some respects. The lotion is non-greasy and fast absorbing, whereas some creams and ointments we have used have been greasy and messy to apply.

Were you surprised to find out AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and oat essence?

I was surprised by this as I had no idea that moisturisers could be made from oats. I must admit I don’t know the significance of this, but if it works, it works. On a related note, Allergy Baby is actually allergic to eating oats, but is not allergic to this lotion. I know there isn't a direct link but wanted to mention it.

Would you say the product helped keep baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours?

It is difficult to say whether it kept her skin moisturised for 24 hours as our child's eczema is particularly bad. However, the lotion does seem to have improved the dryness of her skin in general. Realistically, it would take a few more weeks of use to see the full results, but I would doubt that a full 24 hours would be achieved. In any event, we tend to moisturise her twice a day.

Did you find AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion fast absorbing?

Yes, the lotion is non-greasy and was fast absorbing. No issue at all with application and very pleasant in texture and smell.

Did you think the product provided fast relief for very dry skin? (if applicable)

I do think that the lotion did provide immediate relief for very dry skin, our daughter's skin is extremely dry (to the point of flaking and having cuts and spots). It is not fair to say whether the lotion would get rid of very dry skin altogether for children with eczema without carrying out a longer term trial. However the signs looked promising. I would be confident that it could help general dry skin but not sure about children with bad eczema.

Following the trial, would you swap your usual brand of baby lotion for AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion?

I would trial the AVEENO® lotion for a longer period before deciding on this, but given all other lotions we have used have thus far been unsuccessful, I would definitely consider replacing them with AVEENO® lotion if it proved effective on a long term basis. It would even be worth paying more in that case.

Yes! We usually use Dove, and though we really have an issue with Dove is a lot more watery and doesn't seem to apply as easily,

A little! You can smell a subtle hint of it in the lotion, not overpowering and works wonders for her skin.

Yes, it was really good for my dd I was surprised because I've grown up using thicker creams and was surprised a lotion worked so well.

Yes, it definitely is a premium product and you could see and feel that it was superior. It was absorbed really well and left dd skin feeling really soft and supple. But I wasn't confident about using it in the nappy area because of the fragrance. I'm also not completely confident of how well it will work as a barrier when even colder weather hits but I'm optimistic.

Yes a bit, I always try to use natural products, but oats??? * seemed a bit left field.*

I'm African & dw is Caribbean it seemed brilliant for our patterns of dry skin and dw has started using after she washes her hands.

Yes, its staying in dd's change bag for now but dw and I would prefer an unscented version.

It's been especially good at night after dd's bath. Dd has sensitive skin and we cosleep. We noticed in the past with other products that if the cream 'sits on her skin' she gets itchy and/or sweaty at night, so kicks off the covers or tosses around. We don't have that with this cream at all, it's like magic for bed time and we think it will be a great emergency cream in dd's change bag for dry cold weather.

No, I knew aveeno had oats. I was surprised this baby version was perfumed though as the adult one is not.

Yes, she didn't suffer with dry skin whilst using.

Thank you for the opportunity to take part in the trial however I was concerned from the smell that it would be too harsh for my sons skin and after using twice I had to stop as he came out in a rash unfortunately.

+ Yes. He doesn’t have particularly dry skin but I could tell there was a difference. He has a stubborn dry patch and that’s now gone.

+ I do. It smelt nicer than the products we use at the moment and it was quickly absorbed. The smell is honestly amazing and his skin felt lovely. I started using it myself on my dry legs and they’re much better after only a few days.

My baby's skin isn't generally dry, however after activities such as swimming I have previously used products. This is definitely more superior than alternative products in looks, feel and smell.

No, I knew Aveeno used natural ingredients.

Yes, sometimes longer! I have only been using it once a day or every two days.

It's easier to use than most creams and not greasy at all. Usually I wash my hands afterwards but I found it absorbed fast and nicely and I didn't need to.

After using aveeno in the product test I have already swapped my brand and changed my baby's skin care routine. Not only has it cleared my baby's dry skin that I was having problems with it has not returned he is left with soft moisturised and nourished skin the cream absorbers into his skin not greasy or oily at all all of the cream is soaked into his skin so smooth and smells lovely. I was surprised this cream uses only natural Ingrediants to give this result in only a few weeks no more itchy and dry scaly skin for my baby I couldn't be happier and nor could he. Would recommend anyone to change there usual product to aveeno. Aveeno=one happy and contented baby
