As I don't currently use anything I wouldn't swap but I would certainly continue to use this lotion.

Yes. very much so. My DS has had rough skin on his face since birth and after 2 applications his skin is smooth and healthy looking.

Yes, I use johnstons bedtime bath purely for the relaxing scent as part of a bedtime routine but it doesn't moisturise as well as aveeno and I wouldn't use it on his face either. I use organic babies salve on his face but it leaves it greasy looking and didn't help the rough skin - will be using Aveeno from now on.

Oops forgot to answer one. I wasn't surprised that Aveeno is made with colloidal oatmeal as that what the brand is famous for.

Did you find AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion nourishing for your baby’s skin?
I did. My DD has always had dry skin but from around 4 months, she developed slight eczema one her right arm which she scratches furiously. I've been keeping it moisturised through trial and error with Vaseline. Aveeno provided brilliant nourishment for my DD.

• Did you think it was was better than the products you currently use on your baby’s skin?

It was actually! As mentioned in the previous answer, I'd been using Vaseline which leaves a quite a sticky residue. This provided fantastic moisture without the residue! 
- Were you surprised to find out AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and oat essence? Not really. I've used Aveeno products previously on my own skin and know that they use some natural ingredients. It's comforting however to know that's what's been used on my DD's skin. 
- Would you say the product helped keep baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours? Most definitely. I didn't need to top up on her eczema arm. Given the change of weather and her pretty dry skin, this didn't need topping up throughout the day! 
- Did you find AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion fast absorbing? Yes, it disappeared into my DD's skin almost instantaneously. 
- Did you think the product provided fast relief for very dry skin? Yes.

I use the regular Aveeno currently (which is far better than any other emollient I have tried), I don't think the once daily cream is any better than the regular Aveeno.

I knew this already.

Yes, more so than other creams I have tried. But using regular Aveeno twice a day is more moisturising for my baby's dry skin.

I think so. But I had to top up with regular Aveeno as I didn't find the once daily application enough.

I definately found it nourishing on my baby's skin, she loved having baby massage with it after her bath!

I did think it was better that the products I currently use, I'd been using the Dove range prior to this but think I'll keep giving the aveeno a go as it seems better.

I wasn't surprised to learn how it was formulated as I was aware it was a more natural product, however I was surprised how well it worked!

I would say it kept my daughters skin moisturised and nourished for 24hrs. I bathed her again this evening and her skin still felt lovely from last night.

I found it did absorb quickly and I was able to dress her shortly after applying it as the skin was no longer tacky or sticky.

I do think I would swap my current moisturiser for Aveeno, especially as it is a more naturally formulated product!

Yes! his skin was beautifully soft 3 days after using. I always thought his skin was soft but this moisturiser has really improved his skin.

I have only ever used Johnson before hand because it has always been on special offer but Aveeno is much better. Aveeno absorbs into the skin much quicker and smells gorgeous

Very! I tried this on 6 month old DS who has very dry skin on his face, we are already using a antibiotic cream but were told to use a moisturiser along side this and the AVEENO has soothed his skin faster then the antibiotic cream so far!

I found the cream nourished my son's skin however due I do believe the fragrance in the product is slightly potent. As my son suffers from excema I do try my best to steer clear from any perfumed products.

I believe the cream is very nourishing (especially in comparison to what my son is using now) however my son did come up with a slight rash.

Sorry, naturally colloidal oatmeal sounds like you are trying to blind me with science. Colloid implies it's a larger particle. I fail to see what the benefit of colloidal oatmeal is. I liked the sound of oatmeal and oat essence though, and yes, I was surprised to hear it contains them.

Yes. I found it very moisturising, the scent is very soft and the ingredients are much more natural than other products I have used. The gorgeous scent had people commenting on how lovely she smelt.

No, I use Aveeno myself so am quite familiar with their ingredients.

Yes, my baby can get quite dry on her chest sometimes but the effects of this moisturiser definitely lasted 24 hours.

Yes, usually I have to wait a few minutes for the moisturiser to sink in before putting baby in her vest as otherwise it can be a bit tricky on tacky skin. However, with this moisturiser I can dress her straight away which is great especially in these colder months.

My baby doesn't have very dry skin but she has a dry patch on her chest which did seem to reduce significantly quickly.

Yes. The moisturiser is currently on offer in Sainsbury's so I have already picked up a back up for when this tube is finished.

Yes it appeared to be. The dry, tight looking skin appeared to be soothed and looked much more comfortable after using the lotion for a couple of nights.

Yes it certainly appears to have helped his skin beyond what we had achieved with his current products.

Yes I did. I also used it on my 6yo who tends to have dry skin, and on myself. It does leave the skin soft and moisturised. The scent is light and nice, but I would have preferred an unscented cream for a baby.

• Did you think the AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was better than the products you currently use on your baby’s skin?

I don't usually use anything on my baby skin, but it seems better than products I used with my older children. I have a couple of very good quality creams for dry skin that work well but are thick and not easily absorbed, which my children don't like. Aveeno is more convenient for them.

• Were you surprised to find out AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion was formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and oat essence?

Not at all, I already use the nappy barrier cream that has a similar formula, and I have used oats in the bath in the past to relieve itching, so it makes sense to me.

• Would you say the product helped keep baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours?

It's hard to say after only a few days of using it. It does make the skin feel soft for a while, but not sure it really makes a difference after 24 hours.

• Did you find AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion fast absorbing?

Yes, the consistency is nice. I might have preferred something slightly more liquid as it is for my baby, and I like giving him a little massage when applying cream. However, I do really like the cream, it is not too thick, it is very easy to apply and it does absorb quite fast, just leaving the skin soft.

• Did you think the product provided fast relief for very dry skin? (if applicable)

I have used it on my hands who felt very dry, and it did provide relief. They still felt softer the following morning.

• Following the trial, would you swap your usual brand of baby lotion for AVEENO® Baby Daily Care Baby Moisturising Lotion?

I like Aveeno generally, it is one of the few brands I trust with my children's skin. I have the barrier cream which is great, and the skin relief cream that I use for myself. I don't feel the need for baby lotion as my baby's skin is not particularly dry and I prefer to avoid soaps and creams. However, I would buy it for my older children (3 and 6yo), and I will keep using it sneakily for myself!

Yes, it was quickly absorbed and was incredibly moisturizing

Yes I was using another product recommended by my gp for her dry and eczema prone skin and I had to use it religiously for me to see the efficacy but with the aveeno, it's brilliantly moisturizing I just use it after bath and I am happy.

No, I knew Aveeno used natural ingredients

Yes, my baby since birth has been battling dry skin, her cheeks no longer red and the eczema spots barely noticed

Tester here. I wanted to test this because my 4yo has always suffered with bad eczema and very dry skin and we have been through mountains of lotions and potions, been to dermatologists and have an ongoing prescription for hydrocortisone cream and original Aveeno. My 18mo also has dry patches of skin so wanted to give it a whizz on him too! Have used this product daily since receiving it last week and I'm very impressed so far.

• I found the product very nourishing. It sunk in straight away even on scaly dry patches and was gentle enough to use on my childrens sore faces too. Did it durin the bedtime routine and skin still looked moisturised in the morning. Delighted it sank in so quickly that I could put their pyjamas on straight after application and not wait around for it to absorb.

• I think it is similar to the original aveeno that we already use, but smells nicer. It gives better relief than the Lush lotions we have tried and Oilatum that we were prescribed. I like that it is thick (oilatum is very watery) and didn't sit on the skin but rubbed in easily.

• I was not surprised by the natural ingredients as we are already familiar with the aveeno original which also contain oats. We sometimes bath our daughter in oats when her skin is very sore so I am always happy to use a cream that incorporates this ingredient.

• I think the cream is nourishing and skin still looked moisturised in the morning but definitely needed reapplying after 24hrs and would say it has definitely worn off before then through daily changing and play etc. It's more effective in the first 12hrs after application.

• it absorbed extremely quickly much to my delight when bedtimes can be fraught with bathing, tooth brushing, stories etc our guldren are used to having cream applied every night but something that can be whipped on and sink in super fast is ideal and this product did exactly that.

• my daughter has scaly chapped fingers and my son has chapped cheeks and I found that applying this cream gave instant relief and hydration to those very sore areas.

• I would be inclined to swap original aveeno for baby aveeno if I could also get this on prescription too. If I had to purchase a cream and they were both on the shelf at the same price I would opt for baby aveeno because I'm so impressed by how quickly it absorbs and how efficiently it moisturises sore dry skin. It also smells nicer than original aveeno.

Thanks for letting me test this, I would certainly recommend it to anyone who suffers with dry or eczema prone skin. I even used it myself on dry patches and found it relieved soreness and itching immediately. Great product!

Really pleasantly surprised with this, it's wonderful. Smells pleasant without being overly strong and is very moisturising while still gentle. My 11 month old has fairly sensitive skin and as we are a family prone to eczema I wanted a good sensitive moisturizer. This has worked wonders without giving her spots like so many other creams do.

When I first read the information I was surprised but pleased.

It certainly did, and my daughters skin hadn't started to dry out 24 hours later when I reapplied unlike with many other moisturisers.

Very, it was brilliant for an active 11 month old who couldn't wait to get away.

It worked very quickly on my daughters knees and elbows where she tends do get very scaly skin.

Received mine on 16th so have been using it for a few days now, and I'm impressed. I love the smell which is very subtle, fresh and delicate. I was a bit concerned that it was fragranced as I tend to avoid fragranced products, but there have been no issues.

DD doesn't have particularly dry skin but I still found it nourishing and could definitely see a difference after using it.

I didn't really use any products on her prior to trying this other than oil during a massage. The lotion soaked in quickly (far less slippery!) and I'm planning to continue using it.

I wasn't aware of the benefits of oatmeal and oat essence (and had to google what colloidal meant) but I didn't find it particularly surprising they were used as I'd expect an Aveeno product to contain natural ingredients.

I think it probably did keep her skin moisturised for 24 hours, although it's hard to tell as she doesn't suffer with dryness.

The lotion was absorbed very quickly, which I liked, but I still found a little went a long way.

I will continue to use the lotion and will buy it again when it runs out (which will be a while as it's a big tube!)

During the googling of colloidal I discovered oatmeal is also beneficial for rosacea sufferers. I've had a flare up recently so tried it on my face and it's definitely looking better! DD is going to have to share it with me!
