This is the feedback thread for the 30 Mumsnetters who have been testing the Tefal one-pot digital cooker Cook4Me Connect (RRP £319.99).

Here’s what Tefal have to say about the product: “You don’t need to be a masterchef to achieve delicious meals in no time! Tefal have innovated again, and now give you Cook4Me.

Cook4Me is a one-pot digital cooker, ideal for parents looking to make fast and fresh meals:
- It is easy to use and intuitive: Cook4Me comes with 50 built-in recipes, and features a digital screen with guided cooking steps.
- Cook4Me cooks under pressure, which means you will save a lot of time. For example, after browning and pre-heating, it cooks a Chicken Tikka Masala in 3 minutes, a Thai Green Chicken curry in 4 minutes and a Risotto in 9 minutes (and no need to stir!)…
- It is the ideal all-in-one cooker, with up to 6 cooking manual modes: not only does it pressure cook, but it also steams, browns, simmers, gentle-cooks and automatically keeps your food warm. Its dishwasher-safe bowl can feed 6 people, perfect for the whole family or for batch-cooking.

Cook4Me comes in a standard version, with 50 built-in recipes (RRP is £269.99), and in a Connected version, that works with My Cook4Me app, giving access to over 100 recipes (RRP is £319.99).”

Testers, please ensure that you’ve tested the digital cooker using both the recipes and the manual/ingredients modes and then give your feedback by answering the following questions as well as completing the survey we will email to you.

  1. How easy or difficult did you find Cook4Me Connect to use?
  2. Which recipes did you try? What did you think of them?
  3. What were your thoughts on the cooking results of the Cook4Me Connect?
  4. Would you recommend the Cook4Me Connect?

All who give their required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Non-testers, please answer the below question. All non-testers who answer the below question will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

  • Is there a recipe you’ve never dared to cook and would really like to be able to make in the Cook4Me?

Thanks and good luck!

Non-tester I have always wanted to cook a seafood and meat paella. I have had paella from many countries but not tried making it. I have always wanted to. Rice dishes are a little scary, I would like to have the opportunity to try and make this. I have always wanted to make my own soup, but I have never had the confidence to go for it. I would also like to try this out if I had the Tefal Cook 4 me. @Tefal #Cook4me

I'd like to try and cook boeuf bourguignon - have never made it before

Teabay · 25/08/2017 11:25

I love fish and seafood but am always a little scared of cooking it wrongly - I'd like to try moules marinaire - mussels! I need a taste of holiday and it will help my post holiday waistline recover too.

Non-tester - Thai green chicken curry and that's something the regal cook4me connect makes

HattietheManatee · 29/08/2017 12:06

This sounds GENIUS! We have about a gazillion kitchen gadgets but none quite like this!

Non-tester: we cook quite a lot so there isn't a huge amount I wouldn't attempt. But I wouldn't try something that normally needs a long cook on a school night due to working full time. So being able to quickly cook a bourguionon beef for a winters evening after work sounds like heaven!

I've made numerous risotto dishes over the years and never been able to get them right... so it's been a long time since I've dared try again! I would love to have a kitchen gadget to take the hassle out of it as I love risotto!

I would love to have a go at curried goat

Kathderoet · 31/08/2017 21:27

Non - tester I would love to cook a Thai curry, I find the thought of the effort and time overwhelming and I must admit worry what the family would think - someday:)

Amanduh · 31/08/2017 21:30

Non tester- Is there a recipe you’ve never dared to cook and would really like to be able to make in the Cook4Me?

Going to join what seems a popular opinion and say Risotto! My family would love it but I just can't get the combinations and timing right!

Anj123 · 31/08/2017 21:57

Non tester. Chicken tikka masala!

Gazelda · 31/08/2017 22:03

willothewisp17 · 17/09/2017 22:30

non tester: I'd love to make a proper chilli con carne from scratch!

Aspergallus · 17/09/2017 22:45

Non tester here: I'd like to cook some lovely slow cook Greek meat dishes like stifado.

WonderLime · 28/09/2017 04:11

Non tester here - I’d love to make a lamb stew. I’ve made loads over the years in the slow cooker, but I’ve always found that the flavour of the meat ends up lost in the sauce because it’s stewed for too long. I’d love to try it with the Cook4Me

BlueIsntMyColour · 30/09/2017 21:20

Non tester here, is definitely love to try a risotto.

thesoupdragon44 · 01/10/2017 10:23

I have many recipes I have never dared cook, but I guess the one my family would like the most would be a biryani as I love it as a takeaway.

I'd love to make a proper risotto, one of my favourite dishes being a vegetarian but I only tend to have it in restaurants as I really haven't got time to stand stirring it constantly for half an hour slowly adding stock while it cooks. Would love to try it in the Tefal and it'd be great to add it to my weekly home menu!

rachaelsit · 01/10/2017 17:05

Non tester here.

Definitely risotto or paella!

Debsterscotty11 · 01/10/2017 19:09

I've never been brace enough to make Moroccan lamb but it has all my favourite ingredients so would love to give it a try in the Cook4me. I'm always worried the lamb won't cook right as it's a fine line between tough as old boots and dry as sawdust.

ApocalypseNowt · 01/10/2017 20:41

I'd love to try and make a risotto in it.

I have risotto fear. Love ordering it in restaurants but never dared tried to make it myself!

Wellandtrulyoutnumbered · 02/10/2017 09:04

Non tester. A family friendly curry

TorNayDoh · 02/10/2017 11:06
