Duvalay are looking for 10 Mumsnetters to try their latest mattress in the Hilary Devey Collection and to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet.

Those selected will be sent either a Diamond (firmer) mattress or a Diamond-Luxe (softer) mattress (of their choice) and asked to try it on their existing bed frame. Each mattress has a retail value of £1000. You can choose the size you’d need.

More info and details here: www.hilarydeveycollection.co.uk

Here’s what Duvalay have to say “With over a third of our lives spent sleeping, picking the right mattress is an important factor in making sure you get a good night’s sleep. In an era of mass-production, turning to a handcrafted mattress can be a way of ensuring you don’t suffer from aches and pains after an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Combining traditional handcrafted bed-making techniques with the finest raw materials and innovation, the Hilary Devey Collection is a premium range of hand-made mattresses. Each one is produced from Duvalay’s new Yorkshire factory, which the company moved into a year ago, quadrupling floor space to keep up for the demand for Duvalay products. With Hilary (ex Dragons Den) at the forefront of the design of the collection, personally selecting key features and materials, the collection brings a fresh take to a male-dominated industry by providing affordable luxury with a glamorous edge”.

“The Diamond is a supreme quality mattress that features 2000 individually nested pocket springs. With a summer and winter side, it provides you with a good night’s sleep all year round thanks to its cotton side for summer, which wicks moisture away and a wool side for winter that provides a snug-like effect - furthermore it has been Tried and Tested by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

The Diamond-Luxe takes all the best elements of the Diamond mattress, including luxurious materials and hand side-stitched borders, and features a range of new elements that further add to its glamorous take on the perfect night’s sleep. It’s also one of the first mattresses to the UK market that offers both an ingenious new pocket spring called MidasTouch and a revolutionary new filling called Wooltec®. MidasTouch is a unique spring system that has been specially designed to offer initial softness but also provides much needed support once weight has been applied. Each spring is encased in its own fabric pocket, to actively reduce partner disturbance for a relaxing night’s sleep.

The Wooltec® filling is produced using one of nature’s finest materials, lambswool, and uses the latest is modern manufacturing techniques to create vertically bonded fibres, which allows air to circulate much more easily for greater temperature control. The specially bonded fibres also increase durability and comfort".

We’d like testers to share feedback at least three times on a thread on Mumsnet, as well as sharing photos on the thread. This is open to all UK MNers.

Check out the video about the collection here:

If you’d like to apply, please sign up here and we will be in touch with selected testers directly.

Thanks,

MNHQ

UPDATE: Just for clarity, so long as the required feedback is left, selected testers will be able to keep the mattress after testing. Duvalay is unfortunately unable to take away old mattresses so testers will need to make their own arrangements for this.

Me too, please!

vimtololly · 10/06/2017 16:21

Have also applied.

Current firm ortho mattress is way too hard for someone of my weight. And I stupidly bought a medium one online to replace it a couple of weeks ago, only to find that was also too firm, as well as giving me back pain. Said replacement is now standing in the hall waiting to go to a charity. Blush

So, either I manage to test one of these, or it's a £100 cheapo coil spring for me in an attempt to actually get a normal night's sleep again.. Wink

FubbyChucker · 10/06/2017 18:32

Applied - fingers crossed Grin

ApplePizza · 10/06/2017 19:01

Fingers crossed! I have insomnia and we have never been able to find a mattress we both like!

OuiMerci · 10/06/2017 19:48

That's a very good point, Shaking!

RestingBitchFaceKeepsYouYoung · 10/06/2017 19:56

Done
Hoping!

malisa · 10/06/2017 19:57

I would love to have a comfortable sleep at night instead of getting restless and tired next morning.

TheImprobableGirl · 10/06/2017 20:25

Good luck to everyone that's applied! I have too, really hoping I get this one, I'm salivating at the thought of a lovely new mattress BlushGrin

InMySpareTime · 10/06/2017 21:14

Signed up too.
Sleep...

Llamacorn · 10/06/2017 21:29

Oh I would love love love to be selected for this!!!
Not usually one for a sob story but I have been left permanently disabled after a spinal injury 2 years ago.
I desperately need a new mattress and have only been able to afford a topper which is almost as bad for my back. Unfortunately my local council don't have the funds to provide me a mattress so I have been trying to fundraise with not much luck so far.
Pretty pretty pretty please! I'd be willing to do feedback every single night and morning for this Grin

follybodger · 10/06/2017 21:30

I presume you get to keep the things mumsnetters test? Some items like this have such a high value that it seems incredulous that they just give them away. But then I suppose it's good value to manufacturers in the long run to get feedback from your average Joe.

Studyinghell · 10/06/2017 23:51

Fingers crossed for this 1 :)

despacito · 11/06/2017 07:10

I have a mattress and I literally can feel the springs. I have recently been experiencing back pain. I need this! I will be an excellent reviewer

frowner · 11/06/2017 08:12

Currently struggling with spd so would love to test this to see if it provides any relief.

myrealfairy · 11/06/2017 09:17

I've signed up. This would be huge in our house as the mattress has seen better days and I need a good nights sleep! Great review opportunity and I would love it! :)

confusedaboutthis · 11/06/2017 14:09

I've signed up but I am not sure the form went through ok ... it just sort of disappeared? Are you supposed to get an acknowledgement or something? Thanks!

Willowwisp23 · 11/06/2017 14:22

Would love the chance to try this. Please pick me!

MelinaMercury · 11/06/2017 14:49

Done :)

agentdaisy · 11/06/2017 17:07

I'd love this, and desperately need it too. I have severe chronic back pain which is exacerbated by our crappy old mattress, we can't afford the £££ for a decent new one, or even the ££ for a crappy new one.

FilthyPout · 11/06/2017 17:23

Applied. Desperately wanting to be chosen for this. Something I could only dream of ever being able to afford!
Amazing opportunity Smile

AnotherTimeMaybe · 11/06/2017 17:37

I d absolutely love to try this one, I agree with PP though not sure we get to keep it ...... It'd be odd to go back to the old shitty one after two weeks of this!! Confused

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 11/06/2017 17:53

Of course you get to keep it! They can't re sell it afterwards

IntheBenefitTrap · 11/06/2017 18:40

I have applied. I'm disabled and in bed for most of my time, my mattress is really old and rubbish for my pain so the chance to test a new one would literally be a dream come true!

YoumeandlittleP · 11/06/2017 19:45

Yes please!

MrFMercury · 11/06/2017 21:25

I've applied. Do you make the choices based on the information we provide on the form rather than here? I don't want to list all the reasons why and sound like I'm begging in either place :)
Also, when is the closing date?
I too am hoping we get to keep the mattress, after all they can't be sold on I'm guessing?
