Duvalay are looking for 10 Mumsnetters to try their latest mattress in the Hilary Devey Collection and to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet.

Those selected will be sent either a Diamond (firmer) mattress or a Diamond-Luxe (softer) mattress (of their choice) and asked to try it on their existing bed frame. Each mattress has a retail value of £1000. You can choose the size you’d need.

More info and details here: www.hilarydeveycollection.co.uk

Here’s what Duvalay have to say “With over a third of our lives spent sleeping, picking the right mattress is an important factor in making sure you get a good night’s sleep. In an era of mass-production, turning to a handcrafted mattress can be a way of ensuring you don’t suffer from aches and pains after an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Combining traditional handcrafted bed-making techniques with the finest raw materials and innovation, the Hilary Devey Collection is a premium range of hand-made mattresses. Each one is produced from Duvalay’s new Yorkshire factory, which the company moved into a year ago, quadrupling floor space to keep up for the demand for Duvalay products. With Hilary (ex Dragons Den) at the forefront of the design of the collection, personally selecting key features and materials, the collection brings a fresh take to a male-dominated industry by providing affordable luxury with a glamorous edge”.

“The Diamond is a supreme quality mattress that features 2000 individually nested pocket springs. With a summer and winter side, it provides you with a good night’s sleep all year round thanks to its cotton side for summer, which wicks moisture away and a wool side for winter that provides a snug-like effect - furthermore it has been Tried and Tested by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

The Diamond-Luxe takes all the best elements of the Diamond mattress, including luxurious materials and hand side-stitched borders, and features a range of new elements that further add to its glamorous take on the perfect night’s sleep. It’s also one of the first mattresses to the UK market that offers both an ingenious new pocket spring called MidasTouch and a revolutionary new filling called Wooltec®. MidasTouch is a unique spring system that has been specially designed to offer initial softness but also provides much needed support once weight has been applied. Each spring is encased in its own fabric pocket, to actively reduce partner disturbance for a relaxing night’s sleep.

The Wooltec® filling is produced using one of nature’s finest materials, lambswool, and uses the latest is modern manufacturing techniques to create vertically bonded fibres, which allows air to circulate much more easily for greater temperature control. The specially bonded fibres also increase durability and comfort".

We’d like testers to share feedback at least three times on a thread on Mumsnet, as well as sharing photos on the thread. This is open to all UK MNers.

Check out the video about the collection here:

If you’d like to apply, please sign up here and we will be in touch with selected testers directly.

Thanks,

MNHQ

UPDATE: Just for clarity, so long as the required feedback is left, selected testers will be able to keep the mattress after testing. Duvalay is unfortunately unable to take away old mattresses so testers will need to make their own arrangements for this.

I've applied. What a lovely opportunity, thank you.

SillyMoomin · 08/06/2017 20:34

What a great thing to trial, would love to, please

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 08/06/2017 21:02

Fingers crossed! Dh is so fussy about mattresses so we have gone through loads and never found "the one"!

Good luck everyone!

Pandamanda3 · 08/06/2017 23:38

Signed up, what a brilliant idea! Sooooo would love to end my chronic pain day on day and know what it's like to sleep in a good bed.
Got to be the best test ever I think!
Good luck to us all 😉

ScarlettOButler · 09/06/2017 01:29

Signed up.Keeping my fingers, and toes crossed.

MoreProseccoNow · 09/06/2017 07:12

Signed up. Current mattress is 15 years old & past it's sell-by date.

The Diamond mattress looks like it would fit the bill.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 09/06/2017 07:34

Crossing fingers here! Insomnia (DP) and chronic neck pain (me) would likely be helped by a decent mattress!

rattieofcarcassone · 09/06/2017 09:25

Oo, signed up! We're in bed of a new mattress as my joints are not great and the mattress we have is not helping!

GiraffeorOcelot · 09/06/2017 09:28

Signed up.

Ledkr · 09/06/2017 09:33

Me too. My mattress is as old as my daughter (15) but I'm scared to change it as I also suffer horrible hip and back pain on some beds in hotels etc.

Mummyoftwo91 · 09/06/2017 11:10

Praying I get picked for this one!

Candyperfumegirl · 09/06/2017 12:06

This sounds fab, fingers crossed.

Kabex · 09/06/2017 12:56

I would love to be considered. We have a futon at the moment on our bedframe and it's very uncomfortable.

MrsCharlesBrandon · 09/06/2017 13:28

I can't pick which one! I suspect the Diamond - Luxe would suit me better, but the Diamond would suit DH!
I get really bad hip pain on a too firm mattress, but can't tolerate memory foam which seems to be in every bloody mattress now.

Karanew · 09/06/2017 17:20

This would be amazing to test!! Really need a new mattress mine is way overdue for replacing

EnglishGirlApproximately · 09/06/2017 17:21

Oh I so need a new mattress!

Mammamooandboo · 09/06/2017 19:33

Done Smile

AlpacaLypse · 09/06/2017 19:59

Pretty please with knobs on? And extra Gin all round?

AlpacaLypse · 09/06/2017 20:00

At the moment I'm hanging on in there for one to turn up at the local furniture recycling but so far everything that's the right size for the bed frame is even more decrepit than the current one Sad

merylstreepcouldplaybatman · 09/06/2017 20:33

Ooh my goodness please pick me! Our mattress is so uncomfortable and I'm desperate to get a new one but we can't afford it (we're currently saving all our spare change to buy one but we're a long way off!)

DoItTooJulia · 09/06/2017 22:08

What an amazing product test! Signed up and fingers crossed!

JoyceDivision · 09/06/2017 22:15

Oh I'd love this! Our mattress is about 12 year old and wreckef. It's aging me about ten years every year. I'd have the joy and patience of a saint with a new mattress.

I bouggt a new pillow this wek and could have cried with relief.

Eggsbutnobacon · 09/06/2017 22:59

This would be great. I feel like the princess and the pea with my current mattress!

Tequilamockinbird · 09/06/2017 23:19

Would love this. I've tried for years to find a mattress which doesn't give me back pain!

ShakingAndShocked · 10/06/2017 15:23

@AnnMumsnet I've not applied but can you please clarify something?

OP refers to people 'testing' the mattress and I think most PPs are assuming (as I would) that they then keep the mattress but, unlike in other high ticket items where it's made clear the 'winners' can keep them, that's not remotely spelt out here.

So is this literally just a 'test' OR will the lovely folks above explaining why they're desperate to be picked actually get to keep product?
