Duvalay are looking for 10 Mumsnetters to try their latest mattress in the Hilary Devey Collection and to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet.

Those selected will be sent either a Diamond (firmer) mattress or a Diamond-Luxe (softer) mattress (of their choice) and asked to try it on their existing bed frame. Each mattress has a retail value of £1000. You can choose the size you’d need.

More info and details here: www.hilarydeveycollection.co.uk

Here’s what Duvalay have to say “With over a third of our lives spent sleeping, picking the right mattress is an important factor in making sure you get a good night’s sleep. In an era of mass-production, turning to a handcrafted mattress can be a way of ensuring you don’t suffer from aches and pains after an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Combining traditional handcrafted bed-making techniques with the finest raw materials and innovation, the Hilary Devey Collection is a premium range of hand-made mattresses. Each one is produced from Duvalay’s new Yorkshire factory, which the company moved into a year ago, quadrupling floor space to keep up for the demand for Duvalay products. With Hilary (ex Dragons Den) at the forefront of the design of the collection, personally selecting key features and materials, the collection brings a fresh take to a male-dominated industry by providing affordable luxury with a glamorous edge”.

“The Diamond is a supreme quality mattress that features 2000 individually nested pocket springs. With a summer and winter side, it provides you with a good night’s sleep all year round thanks to its cotton side for summer, which wicks moisture away and a wool side for winter that provides a snug-like effect - furthermore it has been Tried and Tested by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

The Diamond-Luxe takes all the best elements of the Diamond mattress, including luxurious materials and hand side-stitched borders, and features a range of new elements that further add to its glamorous take on the perfect night’s sleep. It’s also one of the first mattresses to the UK market that offers both an ingenious new pocket spring called MidasTouch and a revolutionary new filling called Wooltec®. MidasTouch is a unique spring system that has been specially designed to offer initial softness but also provides much needed support once weight has been applied. Each spring is encased in its own fabric pocket, to actively reduce partner disturbance for a relaxing night’s sleep.

The Wooltec® filling is produced using one of nature’s finest materials, lambswool, and uses the latest is modern manufacturing techniques to create vertically bonded fibres, which allows air to circulate much more easily for greater temperature control. The specially bonded fibres also increase durability and comfort".

We’d like testers to share feedback at least three times on a thread on Mumsnet, as well as sharing photos on the thread. This is open to all UK MNers.

Check out the video about the collection here:

If you’d like to apply, please sign up here and we will be in touch with selected testers directly.

Thanks,

MNHQ

Standard Insight T&Cs Apply

UPDATE: Just for clarity, so long as the required feedback is left, selected testers will be able to keep the mattress after testing. Duvalay is unfortunately unable to take away old mattresses so testers will need to make their own arrangements for this.

I have signed up. Would love to try and get a good night's sleep.

Sparklingbrook · 07/06/2017 22:32

What sort of pictures would be needed? Confused

DreamsInBlack · 07/06/2017 22:52

I can't tell you how much this would mean to me and my partner. Would love to find out if this could aid me in getting a great night's sleep and provide quality support for my partner who has specific issues following a stroke. I'm sure if the divine Ms Devey designs and manufactures this it will be a quality product. Ashamed to say my mattress is over 20 years old and is probably a contributing factor to the aches and pains we're suffering.

Stej7 · 08/06/2017 07:00

Yes please with two little ones under 3 a good nights sleep is much needed!

Jellybean85 · 08/06/2017 07:16

Also a poor sleeper here and would love to see if they high end mattress could make a difference!!

deaddeadgood · 08/06/2017 10:40

Oh yes please I'm crippled with pain from my mattress!

CountessYgritte · 08/06/2017 10:41

Me! Me! Me! Me!

Oh please pick me. I get so hot at night, the idea of a summer side on a mattress is an amazing idea. DH snores and flops around and I lie there sulking, uncomfortable and over heating.

Our mattress desperately needs replacing but in the current economic climate and sad state of our self employed lives it won't happen. I am constantly tired - one of my kids has complex SN and still wakes at night. The sleep I get is precious but not of a good quality.

Please pick me! Please.
Please.
Please.
Please?

Too many mattresses available to make a decision and we need a new one as ours is so uncomfortable. Toddler is not sleeping well (maybe he needs a new mattress too?!), so all in we are well up for this test!

ProseccoandPizza · 08/06/2017 11:17

Ooh I've applied for this. Desperately need a new mattress to end the mattress rows between DP and I. His mattress was only thing he insisted on keeping and it's awful for me, lower back pain every morning.

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 08/06/2017 11:24

Dh has just become over excited about this thread. Grin He usually just rolls his eyes when I mention mumsnet.
We are desperate for a new mattress.

wendyonthefarm · 08/06/2017 11:29

This would be amazing, suffer with fibromyalgia and severe mechanical back pain, would never be able to afford a luxury quality one like this, fingers crossed

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/06/2017 11:36

Signed up and fingers crossed as my lack of sleep is really getting to me, no way we could afford one of these. DH works hard and long hours, but by the time he's paid his tax and NIC and the crazy costs of his commutw, there isn't enough left to buy something luxurious like this!

mogloveseggs · 08/06/2017 11:41

Applied. Fingers crossed!

LauraMoon · 08/06/2017 11:42

Oh god yes please. DS2 is still in our bed (he's five!) and our mattress has seen better days. Anything that makes it a more comfy experience would be fab.

justkeeponsmiling · 08/06/2017 12:30

Please pick me! I have terrible backpain and I suspect it is due to my old, too-soft mattress. Would love the opportunity to see if better support would sort me out.

Groovee · 08/06/2017 12:43

Have signed up. Will try a mattress which may help me as I have fibromyalgia and my current mattress hasn't been amazing.

DoodleCat · 08/06/2017 17:36

I've also applied, we regularly have four of us in the bed and the children are delightfully sweaty sleepers! 😁

Proudmummytodc2 · 08/06/2017 17:39

I e applied currently needing a new mattress and not sure which brand to select

asuwere · 08/06/2017 17:50

I would love to do this but no single size option Sad

BelligerentGardenPixies · 08/06/2017 18:36

My unstable pelvis would be forever grateful!!

ChippingInLovesWoollyHugs · 08/06/2017 18:47

...and comfy beds.

I get very, very, little sleep. This mattress sounds like it could really help. My life would improve immeasurably if I got some decent sleep.

Crikeyblimey · 08/06/2017 18:48

Signed up and crossing everything.

OdinsLoveChild · 08/06/2017 18:56

This could actually end a long term argument (almost 8 years) as to which new mattress we should have. Grin
