Non testers - we also have 5 handheld vacuums to be won - simply share on this thread what your least favourite room or place to vac is and you will be entered into a prize draw where 5 non testers will each win their very own Kobold VC100 handheld vacuum cleaner (RRP £129.00) Smile

Back to the test, the team at Kobold say “compact, unbeatably handy and extremely powerful, the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the ideal addition to your household, making life easier and cleaner.
Designed by global German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk, the Kobold VK200, in combination with two different attachments, takes care of all your floor cleaning needs. Whether it’s carpets or hard floors – the VK200 Homecare System has it covered.
The unique SP530 DuoClean head allows you to mop and vacuum at the same time – a world first! It uses just 100ml of water to cover up to 20 m² of hard floor. And the best part? Simply remove the cleaning cloths when you’ve finished and pop them in the washing machine ready for next time.

“The EB400 brush head meanwhile ensures vacuuming is thorough, gentle and hygienic – driven by its own motor, a special rotating brush scans the floor 16 times per second and removes dirt and dust completely. Even the finest dirt particles do not stand a chance!

“Visit kobold.vorwerk.co.uk to find out more about the Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner and discover the array of clever additional accessories that turn this machine into the Ultimate Homecare System! Simply click and swap to the attachment you need to expertly deal with upholstery, furniture, mattresses, textiles and anything else you need cleaned. I hate vacuuming the computer room and the master room. Keep my fingers crossed...

Maiyakat · 03/11/2016 19:45

Least favourite place to hoover - skirting board under radiator

camperjam · 03/11/2016 20:04

I hate doing the stairs with my hoover, too many angles, the lead doesn't reach and the hoover keeps falling down the stairs!

Spurtle · 03/11/2016 20:54

The stairs - Hetty Is heavy!

likethemapples · 03/11/2016 21:12

Behind/ in between the radiator columns. 🕷 And the stairs. Don't currently have a hand held so it's all very clumsy.

MrsFilthPacket · 03/11/2016 22:13

Tester.

I have had to name change for this, due to the embarrassment of the amount of filth sucked out of my carpet. I will show you shortly. Blush

The demo was great - Charlie was very helpful, didn't baulk at the state of the place (we're in the middle of renovating) and made nice comments about shabby chic.

As I've said above, I was horrified by the amount of shit it sucked up, on just a small area of carpet ( we do have a large Maine Coon cat and two teenagers with long flowing locks - a lot of it was hair).

The instructions were great - very clear to use. DH couldn't wait to get his hands on it when he got in from work!

MrsFilthPacket · 03/11/2016 22:14

I was very excited by this (unusually for me, as housework doesn't, on the whole, thrill me). I reckon this could do everything except give you an orgasm (and it might manage that if you were positioned correctly on the hard floor setting).

I can't bare vacuuming the bedrooms! So much stuff to shift that I end up just whizzing round and never getting it properly clean...

Missushb · 03/11/2016 23:30

Least favourite- vacuuming the car, but probably the most satisfying!

AFawnDawn · 04/11/2016 10:27

Least favourite place is the dining room because of the moving of chairs etc. Closely followed by the stairs, doing the bottom then unplugging and carrying the hover upstairs to do the top. Upstairs in general is a bit of a bind really, hate carrying the thing uostairs, then unplugging and plugging for different rooms. Actually I hate hoovering in general, but do it every day. Gah!

del2929 · 04/11/2016 11:31

Non tester***

Least fave room to vac has to be the kids bedroom. Eeek.

chocolateshoes · 04/11/2016 13:49

Non- tester

I hate hoovering so much because I really detest our Henry Hoover & wish we had sonething better. But definitely DS's room because so much clearing away has to be done before I can even begin.

winkywinkola · 04/11/2016 14:02

Least favourite place is the car. It's so awkward and a mission to get it sorted.

lionheart · 04/11/2016 18:13

Any room where you have a choice between saving the bits of lego and playmobil, or chancing it and sucking everything up anyway.

Disclaimer: this only works well if you empty the machine straight after to avoid the possibility that a small but vital toy is spotted through the dust container thingy. Otherwise, you will have to retrieve it and it will serve you right.

Andbabymakesthree · 04/11/2016 18:55

It's gotta be the stairs. Just find it so hard and cumbersome to Hoover! Plus being pregnant I just can't manage it at mo. Need to ask OH to do it!

deadon · 04/11/2016 20:07

The stairs! Always manage to leave it until they are super dusty and then have to fight to keep the vacuum on the stairs with me, so awkward!

EasterRobin · 04/11/2016 20:18

My least favourite place to vacuum is the car. My current handheld vacuum just isn't up to the job and needs to be recharged at least once just to get through the toddler-generated pile of crumbs after every long journey.

Rigbyroo · 04/11/2016 21:24

Non tester-
I hate hoovering the stairs!

OksanaFitzgerald · 04/11/2016 23:04

NON TESTER Its my daughters room because of all those little toys, lego bits etc covering the carpet.

hotdiggedy · 05/11/2016 10:46

Non tester:

Least favourite room is the bathroom as there are lots of tight awkward bits in a small space so I'm constantly crashing into things and getting annoyed. A handheld vacuum would therefore make my life so much easier. Should I say that I can spend hours/weeks/months researching the 'perfect' vacuum cleaner??

EnFlique · 05/11/2016 11:16

My least favourite room to vacuum is my bedroom because as well as my pile of clothes there is my daughters, and her books....and her toys...and various bits of hair (half afro, nightmare!)

MrsFilthPacket · 05/11/2016 13:29

Tester.

Have now vacuumed the whole house and am amazed how different (better) the carpets look. And, err, how quickly the bag fills up... Blush

TheDuchessOfKidderminster · 05/11/2016 14:15

Non tester: my least favourite room to vacuum is the hall as it is a) often filthy due to muddy dogs/children/pushchair, b) cluttered with footwear, pushchairs and other general detritus, and c) small and narrow with very little room to manoeuvre. Plus I also sometimes feel obliged to vacuum the stairs, which is a general PITA. In reality I never vacuum the hall, DH does it.

ThorsMistress · 05/11/2016 20:36

I loathe hoovering behind the doors! Have to use the nozzle to get right in the corners and the door stops get in the way!
