Mumsnetters needed to try the AEG L89499FL washing machine - worth £629! NOW CLOSED

AEG are looking for 15 Mumsnetters to test out their L89499FL washing machine.

Here’s what AEG say: ‘It’s time to care more for the garments that mean something to us. AEG washing machines are the best way to keep your clothes feeling like new. Even those one-of-a-kind pieces that are more than just a fabric. Our washing machines provide incredible gentleness and superb washing results using the least energy’

If selected, you will be sent the AEG L89499FL (RRP £629) in mid September, and asked to try it for two weeks. You will then need to try it and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. At the end of the testing period, we'd also like you to post a review on the Mumsnet review pages. In order to keep the product, you would need to add your feedback by the 10th October, so please only apply if you are able to do this.

Please note that you will need to arrange your own installation of the machine and disposal of your old machine. Please also visit the product page here to check that the machine is the correct size for your home.

So unlikely to be me but I went for it

I've entered. It would be the best thing in the world if I got picked. My machine is awful but there's no chance of us getting another any time soon. Fingers crossed!

Would you care to send me one to sit BESIDE my current machine? Which is a John Lewis, own brand, which I am informed is made for them by AEG. I will do like for like washes side by side. I have twins and will happily give each machine one child's washing each.

It all happens in a utility area, no problem to have two machines installed simultaneously.

There is so much laundry-related grief in our house: ruined work clothes, faded sports kit, baby clothes come out no cleaner than when they went in! Totally entered.

I'd be perfect for this trial. I have twins of 4, a boy of 5 and 9 year old as well as a partner whose a messy manual worker. I work in a school so this time of year I wear lots of wool and delicates so like to use different programmes to ensure we get the best clean for our individual needs!
