AEG are looking for 15 Mumsnetters to test out their L89499FL washing machine.

Here’s what AEG say: ‘It’s time to care more for the garments that mean something to us. AEG washing machines are the best way to keep your clothes feeling like new. Even those one-of-a-kind pieces that are more than just a fabric. Our washing machines provide incredible gentleness and superb washing results using the least energy’

If selected, you will be sent the AEG L89499FL (RRP £629) in mid September, and asked to try it for two weeks. You will then need to try it and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. At the end of the testing period, we'd also like you to post a review on the Mumsnet review pages. In order to keep the product, you would need to add your feedback by the 10th October, so please only apply if you are able to do this.

Please note that you will need to arrange your own installation of the machine and disposal of your old machine. Please also visit the product page here to check that the machine is the correct size for your home.

If you’re interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

What is it with mnetters? Are all our machines limping on their way out? Mine is for sure. Fingers crossed.

Nodrogetak · 08/09/2016 19:30

Good luck everybody. Mine is cheap and nasty and the digital display is on it's way out (I'm so scared as it seems to like the 90 degree temp setting - not good when I'm washing things that need to be on a 30 cycle)

Waitingforgodot · 08/09/2016 20:07

Completed! Another one with a washing machine that's about to die. Looks fab Smile

HeathOnTheRight · 08/09/2016 20:09

Done Grin

Mycatsabastard · 08/09/2016 20:12

slinky I don't think a lot of white goods last long these days. My last washing machine was 18 years old when I had to replace it and that was only because they no longer made the parts to fix it - a door hinge!! Otherwise it would likely still be going. It was a Hoover.

The one I've got now makes a horrendous grinding noise, stops, starts grinding again and then just carries on as normal. We all just hold our breath every time and hope that it's not going to blow up. I'm not sure if it's the amount of washing we do or the potentially high quantity of sand from all the beach towels but it's really not very well!!

Butteredparsn1ps · 08/09/2016 20:19

Yes pleeeeese. I'm mid way through our holiday washing and can only put small loads on or the drum won't spin. Would love one that can cope with large loads Grin

Bimbum · 08/09/2016 20:41

I would love to review this!

Fanjango · 08/09/2016 22:19

Mammabear31 · 08/09/2016 22:33

Amazing opportunity! Yes please.

mommathatwearspink · 08/09/2016 22:38

Yes please Smile

VelvetSpoon · 08/09/2016 22:52

Oh god....I applied for this, having misread the brand name (it's late, I'm tired, my eyesight isn't what it was...) hence have just waxed lyrical in the 'why do you want to test it' bit about how I loved my old LG washing machine, how amazing it was in the 10 years i had it, how shit my current Hotpoint is (it really is), etc.

Except OF COURSE this is an AEG washing machine, not a LG Blush

That will teach me to read properly.

Im in a muddle and a great big puddle at the moment, plzzzzz help with a machine that ive got for a replacement which takes 2hours to wash including rinse &spin,I'M GOING CRAZY!It's taking over my life, theres 7of us and that means loads of washing loads everyday, testing this machine out would be the icing on the cake -worries and time fingers crossed If I'm one the lucky ones to be selected(I doubt it)

arianah2014 · 08/09/2016 23:27

Btway
the replacement i got was a hotpoint aquarius model WMSAQG 621(rubbish time wasting washing Machine/Hotpoint Im really dissapointed with you for creating a brainless machine!) which was replaced free of charge for the 2nd option was i add £45 3rd option to add £248 for a new model at that that time i didnt have spare cash so i chose the free item and now im ina bit of tingle tangle mo way out cause this machine is fr a 2 person household where mine is a 7pple household no quick wash features on this product at all.
