We have been asked by the team at Morphy Richards to find 15 MNers to test the Redefine Atomist Vapour Iron. We’re looking for MNers who have an interest in technology and gadgets. Here is a link to the product www.morphyrichards.co.uk/redefine/atomist/

Here is what Morphy Richards say about the iron: “The Atomist Vapour Iron is completely unique to the market as it uses vapour mist rather than steam, which means that it doesn’t need water to generate heat. As no water is heated or boiled, there is absolutely no build-up of limescale, meaning that it’s completely hassle free to clean. This also means that a fine mist can be sprayed onto garments, which is absorbed by the fibres, guaranteeing that creases can be ironed out quickly and effectively.”

If you are selected, we want you to share your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet about how you found the iron compared to the usual one you use. We’d also like you to share photos of garments before and after you’ve used the iron, and also photos of you using the iron. In addition to this, we’d like you to write a review in the Mumsnet household appliances review section. Finally, we’d like you to write a review on the Morphy Richards website. Please only sign up to do this product test if you’re happy to do all of these things.

As long as you give feedback as required, you will be able to keep the iron, worth £250.

If you’d like to take part, please add your details here and we will be in touch with those selected soon.

Thanks and good luck!

I hate ironing it takes such a long time and I'm so rubbish, accidentally ironing creases in because I can't see. Always refilling is a pita. I had a really old iron that I recently chucked and replaced with one of those steam tank ones.... It's horrible. Have to fill it up more often and wait ages for it to heat. Would love to try one of these. Anything to make ironing less of a chore!

SoupDragon · 19/03/2016 10:10

I would love to try this as I live in an area with ridiculously hard water. I love ironing, honest. Halo

Pigeonpea · 19/03/2016 10:41

This iron looks amazing - steam ironing would make clothes look new and I'd love an iron that can handle the hardwater area we live in

DoinMiFuckinHeadIn · 19/03/2016 12:10

It looks amazing. I've filled in the application but my Internet went weird when I submitted the form so I don't know if it went through correctly

P1nkP0ppy · 19/03/2016 12:12

My iron coughed, spluttered and expired this morning....a victim of hard water and it was very well used here 😳
As someone who irons nearly everything I'd love the opportunity to try this one out!

kungfupidge · 19/03/2016 12:55

amazing opportunity ive signed up ! xx

nelsonscolumn · 19/03/2016 13:54

Another one who gets through a lot of irons due to hard water so I've signed up as the Atomist sounds really interesting .

Tokelau · 19/03/2016 14:07

I would love to try this. I seem to spend hours ironing!

Pipbin · 19/03/2016 15:55

Very gadget heavy household here.
DH does the ironing and bloody loves a gadget. We have a steam generator iron at the moment and he keeps complaining that there should be better technology.

Yes please and thank you.

Pipbin · 19/03/2016 16:04

I've only just noticed that the damn thing is see though. Oh please please nice Morphy Richards people.

I have a steam generator at the moment and every so often the bastard thing pisses out limescale all over the ironing.

ouryve · 19/03/2016 18:47

This is potentially great for me, as I have problems with my hands.

I have conquered the hard water problem, mind. I use water from my dehumidifier. Completely lime free.

Doobydoo · 19/03/2016 18:59

Oo done. Have tried many with vsrying degrees of creasynessness and limescale!

LazySusan11 · 19/03/2016 19:11

Yes please! I can never get the creases out of my bedding, it irritates me no end so this would be grand!

CremOlafoam · 19/03/2016 19:23

Oh yes! In the market for a new iron so would love the opportunity to try something novel. Terrific.

TwoMs · 19/03/2016 19:30

Anything that makes ironing easier is a winner for me, so I'd love to give it a try Smile

StayGold · 19/03/2016 20:31

Am so desperate to try have even entered the common the page! Would be ecstatic to try it... Grin

StayGold · 19/03/2016 20:31

Competition even doh! Blush

SuburbanRhonda · 19/03/2016 20:32

Ooh yes please. I always buy cheap irons and I would love, just for once, to be able to do the ironing quickly and easily, rather than having to watch four episodes of Come Dine with Me just to finish one load Grin

Tequilamockinbird · 19/03/2016 20:36

Ohhhh me please! My trusty, loyal steam generator is almost 10 and about to die a death I think. Needs descaling and new filter more and more often and leaves clothes a bit pongy

I would love to try this!

SmileAndNod · 19/03/2016 20:39

DH would love to try thisWink

NothingButAHoundDog · 19/03/2016 21:53

Yes please, same as Mothership, DH is chief ironer in our house, he'd love a chance to try this and see if it makes his chore any easier!

Nijnte2007 · 19/03/2016 22:46

would love to try this!

commonsenseplease · 20/03/2016 04:28

I'd love to try this.

We've tried steam irons, steam generators, handheld steamers and a press in our house. Nothing yet has made ironing easier or enjoyable.

AYD2MITalkTalk · 20/03/2016 07:56

Every time I see this sticky on Active my nicotine-obsessed brain goes "ooh, a vape and atomiser test thread!"

Then I'm sad because it's a household appliances thread :(

bananas4kate · 20/03/2016 09:12

I love gadgets but hate ironing - this could be perfect for me!
