We have been asked by the team at Brantano to find 95 MNers to visit their nearest Brantano store (over the next few weeks) to get their DCs feet expertly measured and fitted for new shoes (the new shoes will even be included!). As part of this, they would like you to give your feedback on the fitting service that you and your DC experienced in store (range, expertise, pricing etc).

Here's what they say "Brantano is proud to offer a free kids shoe fitting service, with staff trained by top brands such as Clarks, Start Rite and Hush Puppies. The team are put through rigorous training followed by at least 25 supervised fits before being given the title of ‘expert fitter’. What’s more, Brantano offer convenient out of town shopping with most of its stores located on retail parks making the shopping experience unlike many other traditional footwear shops, as the shoes are displayed in pairs that can be easily selected and tried on immediately."

Each tester will receive a voucher which can be redeemed against one pair shoes (to the value of £50) at their nearest Brantano store.

For the free kids shoe fitting service, testers would need to visit a Brantano store between the 1st and the 21st June, so please only apply if you're available during this time.

After visiting your nearest Brantano store, we'd need you to post on a feedback thread on Mumsnet.

Every tester who posts their feedback will be entered into a prize draw, where one winner will receive a £100 Brantano voucher.

If you'd like to participate, please add your details here - www.surveymonkey.com/s/RFFQ8GS

Thanks

Hi when i applied i said i planned to use one store but i have realised another would be more convenient is that going to be ok or do i need to go to the one stated?

InAndOfMyself · 08/06/2015 15:29

Will there be a feedback thread live soon?

ColdCottage · 08/06/2015 16:18

I'm guessing but as they are testing the service it would need to be the store you selected as they will have chosen people to cover all their stores.
I would reply to Angelies email from Friday. She will be able to confirm.

If you'd like to go to a different store than the one listed when you signed up, that should be fine, but please send me a PM or email with details on which store you'd like to visit instead.

The feedback thread will be open later this week :)

We went yesterday, and got dd 2 pairs of trainers as the choice of leather shoes was very limited in her size,

She was very happy wearing them today, but complaining by midday that her feet were hurting (on checking, she did have red marks on the top of the foot and around the ankle), I am hoping that it is because she did the strap too tight, and not that the fitting wasn't right,

We will leave it a few days until she wears them again and then see where the problem is coming from

Just been to our local store and I'm ready to post feedback now.

I visited with my daughter on Sunday. The staff were absolutely lovely but unfortunately the measuring service I received was not very good. My daughter was measured a size smaller than she actually is. When I went to look at shoes, she was squeezed into some tiny ones by the shop assistant. I had to ask if she could try a bigger size as they were far too small for her feet. There was very little choice in the better quality brands so I ended up getting a pair which I wouldn't have normally purchased. She wasn't measured for width at all and the shop assistant actually said, 'oh, I forgot to do that it she looks like an 'f''. Personally, I think that the staff need proper training in this area and hope that this test spurs Brantano into action. The company are lucky to have such a great team working for them but they need training to support them.

Just marking my place so I can be updated when the feedback thread goes lives as I've been into the store now.

purplemonstermum · 11/06/2015 17:16

Please can you tell me too when the feedback thread goes live as I have quite a lot of comments from my visit and don't want to forget them!

Babymamamama · 12/06/2015 14:51

We went today. DD had an inset day off school so thought we'd avoid the crowds.... Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to input the feedback. Brantano should put this link up or our fresh memories will be forgotten!!!
