We have been asked by the team at Brantano to find 95 MNers to visit their nearest Brantano store (over the next few weeks) to get their DCs feet expertly measured and fitted for new shoes (the new shoes will even be included!). As part of this, they would like you to give your feedback on the fitting service that you and your DC experienced in store (range, expertise, pricing etc).

Here's what they say "Brantano is proud to offer a free kids shoe fitting service, with staff trained by top brands such as Clarks, Start Rite and Hush Puppies. The team are put through rigorous training followed by at least 25 supervised fits before being given the title of ‘expert fitter’. What’s more, Brantano offer convenient out of town shopping with most of its stores located on retail parks making the shopping experience unlike many other traditional footwear shops, as the shoes are displayed in pairs that can be easily selected and tried on immediately."

Each tester will receive a voucher which can be redeemed against one pair shoes (to the value of £50) at their nearest Brantano store.

For the free kids shoe fitting service, testers would need to visit a Brantano store between the 1st and the 21st June, so please only apply if you're available during this time.

After visiting your nearest Brantano store, we'd need you to post on a feedback thread on Mumsnet.

Every tester who posts their feedback will be entered into a prize draw, where one winner will receive a £100 Brantano voucher.

If you'd like to participate, please add your details here - www.surveymonkey.com/s/RFFQ8GS

Thanks

I did report my post after I posted it so someone knew I'd asked. Perhaps we should post in site stuff or send a message?

Eva50 · 04/06/2015 10:51

Gosh, yes. It would really test their patience service if they had to fit ds3 (doesn't like anything new, won't try it on, hates shopping) with sandals and trainers!

mamato3luvleys · 04/06/2015 13:18

Where can I find the feedback thread please?

BeccaMumsnet · 04/06/2015 14:12

Hi everyone - we've forwarded your questions on to the appropriate people who will get back to you soon.

SaltySeaBird · 04/06/2015 18:47

Despite applying for every product test I'm eligible for I haven't got on one for over a year, was really hoping to be selected for this as DD is desparate for new shoes and the lovely local children's shoe shop I normally buy from has just closed down. Feel disproportionately dissapointed (I was really hoping for this or mini milks!).

I do see the same names crop up on feedback tests - just curious how many apply and how you select the testers?

Jo178 · 05/06/2015 10:05

Did anyone manage to get an answer on whether the voucher could be used for more than one pair of shoes please?

poorbuthappy · 05/06/2015 10:55

No we are still waiting. I wanted to go this weekend do am hoping for a response today.

Jo178 · 05/06/2015 11:29

We were going to go today. Might just go and ask there? Please could you let me know if you hear? Thanks!

AngelieMumsnet · 05/06/2015 11:55

Hi everyone - we're looking into your voucher question, and will let you know as soon as we have confirmation.

SaltySeaBird - sorry you weren't picked, we do get lots of folks apply and often it's down to luck of the draw. We'll be running more product tests in future so please do keep applying

I have already been and spent mine and the store quite kindly offered for me to get 2 pairs as my daughters sandals only cost £22. Sorry if I wasn't ment to do this but my son loves his sandals so thankyou brantano and mumsnet.Grin

mamato3luvleys · 05/06/2015 12:08

Also I forgot to say they said that they would only put the difference on a gift card anyways....

AngelieMumsnet · 05/06/2015 12:09

Just to confirm, it's fine to use the voucher to buy more than one pair of shoes :)

thanks for replying Angelie
I'm after size 4-ish school shoes for DS1 so I doubt that £50 will be enough to fully cover the cost of 2 pairs, but if the store is agreeable I will ask if I can pay cash to make up the difference and buy some new trainers for him too.

poorbuthappy · 05/06/2015 12:57

Thank you all!

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 05/06/2015 13:03

Thanks, Got my voucher this afternoon will be visiting store next week

Bonkerz · 05/06/2015 13:23

Went this morning and spent my voucher. I spent a while browsing in shop this morning to make sure I could really test the service Wink. When will feedback thread be up?
Da got new shoes for school in sept and a pair of trainers of his choice! Paid just the £6 top up.
Have to say the cashier looked very scared when I handed over the letter!

Eva50 · 05/06/2015 14:56

That's brilliant. We will go at the weekend. Thank you.

AngelieMumsnet · 05/06/2015 15:57

Hi everyone - just to clarify: while you can use the £50 voucher to purchase more than one pair of shoes, if you are purchasing shoes worth less than £50, you would not get change for this.

Also, one of the key features of this test is the shoe fitting service for children, so please do make sure you try this out.

Thanks!

Waiting for feedback thread. First trip was today - yes, first. They didn't have the shoes I wanted so I have to order them to store. Curse my hobbit footed child!

(Have to say, the first two people were semi helpful. The lovely lady who came to ask if I needed any help while I was looking for shoes was brilliant).

mapmyface · 06/06/2015 16:32

Awaiting the feedback thread, just had a terrible experience in brantano.

Uzma01 · 06/06/2015 17:01

I took my DS earlier on today and got him a new pair of school shoes plus a couple of other bits (a cap for him and a 3 piece dinnerware set for my DD - so she wouldn't feel left out.) It would have been a bit difficult to get another pair of shoes out of the voucher once the school shoes were paid for. But really happy with the service, so early awaiting the link to the feedback thread.

MimsyBorogroves · 07/06/2015 00:08

Got sandals for both DC today, plus daps/sandshoes/whatever you want to call them for DS1. Lovely ladies doing the fitting, helpful and patient and I couldn't have been happier with the customer service, but the measuring service itself was very, very basic. Not their fault, but not what I expected when they're advertising expert measuring. They were also a bit worried when I handed over the voucher Grin

Looking forward to the feedback thread.

ColdCottage · 07/06/2015 11:03

Excellent service but the choice for my (size 3G) son was very poor. MUCH more choice for girls.

Apparently they are getting more lines in soon so perhaps wait a week or call ahead to find out when the new stock is in.

RumAppleGinger · 08/06/2015 13:13

Awaiting feedback thread. Spent voucher yesterday. I didn't realise brantano did so much branded stuff or that they stocked Clarks shoes.

SewingAndCakes · 08/06/2015 14:57

Planning on going tomorrow but I've found a closer store than the one I said I'd be visiting on the survey; does anyone know whether this'll be ok?
