Miele are looking for 10 Mumsnetters to test out their G6410SC Dishwasher.

Here's what Miele say, "The G6410SC freestanding dishwasher will provide you with the opportunity to run a more economical wash cycle whenever you need to clean your dishes and glassware. With a high energy efficiency rating of A+++, you can reduce the amount you need to spend on running an appliance within your home."

If selected, you'll be sent the Miele G6410SC to try for a few weeks and so long as you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.

If selected, you will be sent the Miele G6410SC towards the end of October, and asked to try it for two weeks. You will then need to try it and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. At the end of the testing period, we'd also like you to post a review on the Mumsnet review pages. In order to keep the product, you would need to add your feedback by the 23rd of November, so please only apply if you are able to do this.

Please note: testers will be receiving the Miele G6410SC in brilliant white. The G6410SC is a freestanding dishwasher, which is 60 cm wide by 60 cm deep. Please only apply if you are able to fit this dishwasher in your kitchen.

5 of the 10 participants may also need to film a few videos. Those MNers will receive an additional £50 voucher to spend on dishwasher detergents in the Miele online shop as a thank you for filming.

If you're interested in taking part please sign up here - www.surveymonkey.com/s/P99JPGV.

Thanks and good luck,

This is turning iton a nightmare :) I now have a hole in my kitchen and two non functioning dishwashers.

What sort of trades person do I need to fit a Miele dishwasher??

DillydollyRIP · 13/11/2014 16:33

A plumber or even handyman should be able to do it as they don't need to be gas safe registered to fit a dishwasher.

Well, Mine is in now.
Had a couple of hiccups though and the driver said he might have to take it back!

After lots of head scratching from the installation/delivery guy We've had to cut a hole into the side of one of our cupboards as the end of the water pipe from the miele has a big box thing on the end which our old one didn't have this so it wouldn't fit through the current gap.
Then, because the aforementioned box thingy there wasn't enough room to attach it to the current plumbing so one of the pipes had to be Blocked off and it connected somewhere else.

Phew!

No word from them on filming but I'm doing it - it's going really well and is more efficient than my old Bosch and I love the cutlery shelf. and it is great for wine glasses - I've even popped the Riedel ones and avoided any breakages when unloading.

Resisting the urge to rinse everything before putting it in is quite hard - but I guess for the trial they want us to give it a work out.

Funny how some delivery guys were prepared to go the extra mile and fit it despite problems.

DillydollyRIP · 13/11/2014 18:03

Ah they didn't fit ours but they did take the old one.

IneedAwittierNickname · 13/11/2014 21:54

Grin whoops!

OwlCapone · 14/11/2014 13:21

I never want to plumb another dishwasher in! Still, it's Lone Female 1 Dishwasher 0 in the Capone household!

DillydollyRIP · 14/11/2014 13:55

Yay! Hopefully the Miele will last a while so it doesn't need to be removed.

OwlCapone · 14/11/2014 14:11

Why have people put water in the salt dispenser when the instructions don't suggest this and say "Do not fill the reservoir with water"
