First I have to confess I use Cif regularly, since the days when it was called Jif. Although "Regularly" is a bit of an exaggeration as I'm struggling to be as regular as I'd like with my cleaning at the moment.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
I have not used it everywhere yet for this test, but would usually use it in kitchen, bathroom and for any stubborn marks elsewhere like sticky bits the children have left, and its good for UPVC window frames/sills outside. I have carefully used it to get marks off walls painted with heavy duty "scrubbable" paint. Cif is also good, with a green scourer, for that sticky layer you get on top of kitchen cupboards near the cooker.

This time I used it for cleaning hob, ceramic and steel sinks, bath, basin, tiles, all came up perfectly except a few stubborn scratches in the ceramic sink.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It feels business like, very gently abrasive (?) and thick enough to stick to what you're cleaning. Once I took the varnish off a coffee table trying to remove felt tip pen with CIF! I do need to wear rubber gloves as it gets under my rings and irritates my skin there. I'm glad it doesn't have any "lavender and lemongrass" type flavours, I detest those especially lemon. (Don't bring back the lemon Jif!)

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
The other similar thing I use is Barkeepers friend for my ceramic sink, if there is something CIF won't clean then BKF will normally do it. I also use a bleach spray for some applications, but CIF is quite good.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes. but will look out for special offers. I like the little trial bottle, will take that camping!

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Definitely. But my mum recommended it to me!.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean? Kitchen and bathroom
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like? Very effective and left a nice finish. I didn't enjoy having to rinse it off as a bit of a faff.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product? Very effective
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not? Seems like a lot for a small bottle. Would pay it if it was bigger. I liked the finish but I think I'll stick with my spray as it is easier and quicker
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? No. Too much of a faff

I used the cif cream to clean in the bathroom- sink, bath and taps and in the kitchen- sink, taps and baby highchair.

Overall impression wasn't great. It wasn't what I expected texture wise- id have prefered a cream rather than gel, I didn't think it worked any better than my other cleaning products, it was hard to apply as I seemed to use loads. The smell wasn't bad and it didn't splatter everywhere.

Effectiveness- no better than my cheap aldi products. I wouldn't pay any more for this product. It cleaned to the same level and I couldn't see any difference in finish afterwards.

There's no way I'd pay £2.50 when my aldi products clean just as well for a fraction of the price.

I wouldn't recommend this product.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen sink, hob and bathroom.
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I liked the fact that you didn't need to use much CiF to get a good clean. The smell was clean and fresh. It cleaned well without smearing or leaving a white residue which you often get with cream cleaners.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
We normally use sprays and I was surprised how well the CiF compared. I also suspect it will last much longer.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
As I've said above it will last so I think the price probably compares well. Yes, I think I would buy it again at that price.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Not sure it would come up in conversation but yes I would recommend it.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

Bathroom.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I liked that it was gently abrasive, so it got rid of bath and sink scum easily, and also made my taps shiny and got rid of the limescale.
I didn't like that it did take a little longer to rinse off than my usual cleaner.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

Same as my usual cleaning product at cleaning scum etc, but better at cleaning my chrome taps.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not sure. Might get it if on special offer (like buy one get one half price).

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would yes. I was surprised at how much better it cleans now, compared to how it used to be.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Bathroom

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I used it to clean the bath and shower. Brought up tap and plughole really shiny and got rid of watermarks on the shower screen. It did need rinsing off the glass but all cleaners seem to anyway. Much less effort than I thought from a cream cleaner.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
About the same on the steel, better on the glass.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
That's too expensive for a small bottle for me.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I'd recommend they try it. Price would be an issue though.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
The bathroom.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I really liked it. I've not used a cream cleaner before, I usually use sprays. I was really surprised how effective it was. It left the bathroom really clean and shiny and I liked the smell, not too overpowering with artificial fragrance like some cleaners can be, but a nice fresh clean smell.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Much better than my usual product. DD had some "washable" bath crayons which actually left little marks all over the bath. I've scrubbed at them before with my usually spray to no avail but this shifted them with a bit of elbow grease, really pleased.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
At first I thought this sounded a lot until I realised we were sent a smaller 250ml bottle to test. A larger bottle would last a long time so yes I think it would be worth it (though I admit I'll look out for when it's on offer!).

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would for removing stubborn marks definitely.

Thank you for the free sample.

I used the product in the bathroom. It is the first time in a long time that I've used anything other than a spray product so I was unsure how much to use and it took longer to rinse away than usual. I liked the smell a lot. It was pretty effective and im sure judging amounts will come with more use. The price is more than I would normally pay but I would buy it but only use it for certain things eg hard to clean bits of the shower. I doubt it would come up in conversation but I would recommend the product.

Bathroom, ensuite and kitchen.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It didnt have a strong smell.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
pretty good, I noticed it more on the harder to reach and tougher to clean bits such as under the shower door - it did a good job there, better than my usual cleaning stuff.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes probably would, but would only use it in the areas which need a good cleaner and use my supermarket own one for everyday bits and bobs
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes. It didn't smell horrible or take my breath, it cleaned well and I didn't need to use a lot of it

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

Mostly the kitchen

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I quite liked it. I'd always thought it was a bit old-fashioned but the smell was nice and it cleaned well. Didn't like the 'grittiness' on worktops and also thought it was quite runny.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

It was good - worked well on the hob and on my white sink which is impossible to keep clean.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'll probably look out for it on offer. I think I still prefer a spray cleaner though (sorry Blush) as I am a very lazy cleaner and the Cif took longer to rinse away.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I can't imagine it coming up in conversation but I would probably suggest giving it a try but wouldn't fiercely recommend it.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
kitchen and bathroom
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It was as I remembered it from years ago when it was Jif. A bit runny, white and distinctive fresh smell
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Found it better on ceramic cooker top than my usual - orange Hob Brite - gave a better shine. Was about the same on sinks, baths and shower
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
A bit on the pricey side for a kitchen/bathroom cleaner - maybe pay that for a 'top quality' product but I don't see Cif in that range - it's functional. The marginal difference in results don't merit the increase in price - plus because it's runny you use more than you would with a spray
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Would recommend for cleaning cooker tops as good result

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen surfaces, sink and cooker.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I liked the smell, it didn't smell 'chemically' like some other cream cleaners I've used.
I found it a little more runny than I was used to so squirted too much out the first time but got used to this.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
It was very effective on the sink/cooker cleaning stains and lime scale with no difficulty. The only thing it had trouble shifting was a tea stain where a used tea bag had been left on the work top. It did eventually get rid after a couple of goes.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Possibly as I found the smell of it much more pleasant than my usual supermarket own brand.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I can't imagine it would come up but I would certainly share my generally positive impression if it did!

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Used my Cif cream in the kitchen and bathroom.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I used to use Cif cream a lot when it was called Jif but preferred this new formula as it was smooth, not as grainy. The new Cif had a smooth texture which was easy to use. It was wonderful at degreasing in the kitchen - I used it on the cooker hood and in the oven, both of them greasy - and it cut straight through even old grease. Also removed an irritating stain in my bathroom sink, and great on the base of the shower.
It needed a good rinse after use.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Very effective indeed on grease stains, well, any stains. I usually use spray cleaners but this was better.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
This is more than I usually pay, but I would buy a bottle and use it occasionally.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes.

Thank you for including me in the trial :)

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

the kitchen sink, the bathroom, and the dining room floor (after DS vomited all over it)

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I like the scent, very fresh and covered up the vomity smell very well. I prefer spray on cleaners though, so using a cream seemed a bit wasteful after always using sprays in the past.

overall I did like it though.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

just as effective a cleaner, but better scent.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I probably will - it was great for cleaning the sink.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

probably - although it is not that likely to come up! My mum has always been a fan though, so will have to recommend it to other friends and family members!

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

Kitchen and bathroom

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

Quite liked the smell and it wasnt grainy like the Cif I have used in the past. No chalky feeling on my hands afterwards either.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

Like others have said - using a cream it is easy to use too much, I always seem to either get too small a blob or a large puddle which then soaks into the cloth! I think it was fab on the greasy kitchen and also made a good impression on the limescale in the shower and bathroom sink.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think I will keep some in the cupboard and use it every few cleans, I think spray is easier and the extra cost and possible over squirting (helped because it is runny) would make me think twice about using it as my regular cleaner. It does smell less "disinfectanty"and chemical which is a big plus as I hate that smell.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would certainly talk about it and my experiences and would suggest people try it - although it probably wouldnt be something which came up naturally in conversation!

Thanks for letting me try the product - I was overall pleasantly surprised.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

I used this in the kitchen and bathroom.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I like the cream - it's not the kind of product I normally buy, I tend to use spray cleaners, wipe on and off. It took a little longer to wipe it all off because it was slightly thicker. It smells nice.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

I can't honestly say I noticed much difference. I used it to clean the outside of my stainless steel kettle and it made that nice and shiney, and then I used it on a particularly icky hob after rice had boiled over. It cleaned it but still required a lot of elbow grease, and I can't honestly say that it was any easier than the spray I normally use.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm afraid not. The product works, it smells nice, but I can get other products which do a similar job in an easier to use spray bottle which cost less. I will be keeping this bottle to clean the kettle though and the microwave when I get round to it as it did give a nice shine.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't. We rarely discuss cleaning products but I am not so pleased with it that I have to tell someone about it. If someone asked me about it I would say it was a good cleaner.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Bathrooms and kitchen - sinks in both bathrooms and sink in kitchen.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It worked well and was not as hard a job as I thought it was going to be! It was quite abrasive which was a good thing around the taps on the bathroom sinks! DP was going to use it on the hob but did not like the smell so he didn't bother!

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
It seemed to cope better with the toothpaste and other gloop that my DC (and DP!) leave around the sinks. I think being more cream-like was a good thing as I usually use a spray which looks and smells nice but is less effective.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I think so - I liked the results on the sinks. A little seemed to go a long way so seems quite cost effective too.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Not sure why I might be discussing cleanng products as I am not known for being houseproud but if it came up in conversation then yes, i would recommend this product as it was a fairly easy way to make an easy difference.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
I used it in the bathroom and kitchen sink.
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I thought it smelled quite pleasant and 'clean'. It was easy to squirt out the bottle. I didn't really like the grainyness of it though, I'm used to spray on liquid cleaners that wipe off easily though. I thought Cif left a bit of a residue.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
I thought it was very effective, despite it being grainy I think that's what makes it work better though! I change products quite a lot and don't really have a usual product. It worked really well on the sinks and shower area.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would buy it again.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I'd recommend it.
