Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen and bathroom.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I tried it quite a few times as I was determined to be positive but I didn't really find that it stood out from other cleaning products I use. I actually didn't like the smell but I appear to be the only one in the minority on this!

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Not very Sad. You are meant to wipe the cream on the surface first, then rinse off which is double the cleaning. My worktops were lovely afterwards but no different from my usual cleaner. I had to scrub hard on stubborn stains. It left a streaky finish on my stainless steel cooker no matter how many times I rinsed it. It was great on the sticky, dusty extractor fan and I was also pleased with how easily it cleaned the bin lid, cupboard fronts and kitchen wall (behind the bin - gross!) It was better in the bathroom where I could slosh much more water about. It made the white bath and sink shine.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think the price is fine for that size bottle of cleaner, if you like it. I prefer to use Stardrops and supermarket own brand antibacterial spray.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because it didn't do anything more special than any other cleaner I've used.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
The kitchen (although will tackle the bathroom tomorrow and add any further comments. I like the fact that it is multi purpose and not aimed at just being a bathroom or kitchen cleaner.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I've not used a cream before and I liked it, it wasn't as thick as I expected. The smell was inoffensive although nothing to rave about. It was harder work than my normal cleaner though and required a bit of elbow grease.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
It was a lot more effective and the sink and hob both looked really shiny. I didn't notice much difference on the worktop surfaces though and prefer a spray cleaner for these.

I did look for something especially nasty to tackle and decided to give the kettle a clean. Goodness, it was filthy and quite greasy too as it is next to the hob. I do sometimes give it a cursory wipe with a damp cloth after using a spray cleaner but have just realised it's very ineffective.

I've attached a picture showing the kettle "half" clean. It is obvious which bit has been Cif'ed. It is quite remarkable how easy it was to get it like this. I tried the other side with my normal spray cleaner and it didn't clean it at all.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I will buy it again but will mainly use it for the sink and hob. Will see how it fares on the bathroom tiles tomorrow.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I don't have this sort of conversation but if somebody mentioned they were having trouble cleaning a hob or sink I would suggest they try it.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
The kitchen and bathroom.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It's a good all-rounder - effective, works on a variety of surfaces/in different areas so it's versatile. I like the smell - it's not overbearing. The only thing I didn't like was judging how much to try and squeeze out, it's not an exact science and I tend to get too much, but I think with time I'll be better at getting less out.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Very effective overall. In the kitchen it was much more effective than my usual products. In the bathroom the efficacy was similar, as the bathroom is fairly easy to clean anyway, however I prefer the use of this one and the other bathroom cleaners I have/had have a strong smell and more needs to be used.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think I would buy it again at that price if I was in a fix and felt I really needed it. In reality I'm most likely to buy it on offer - the price isn't terrible, but it feels like a lot.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, because it is very versatile and so can go some way to eliminating the need for multiple cleaners and therefore making things simpler. It's also very easy to use and doesn't have a horrible smell.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean? bathroom, downstair's loo and kitchen bin lid
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like? I really liked the smell, very fresh, but not overpowering. I much preferred it to the usual apple/fake lemon products we usually buy.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product? It zapped through the dirt on the bin lid really easily. In the bathroom and downstair's loo it cleaned the surfaces really well. I expected there to be a residue, but there wasn't. I did have to rinse my cloth more than usual though. I usually use mousse. They were left very clean and again the smell was lovely and fresh.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not? I would consider it, but think that is quite a bit compared to what I usually pay for Aldi own stuff, having said that it was much better.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, again mainly for the lovely smell!!!

Q1 I used it on the chrome fixtures in the kitchen and the oven top and in the down stairs toilet.

Q2 I thought it was very good on the chrome and the results were sparkling, although I didn't like the smell for the kitchen as it was too floral.
The smell was very fitting for the toilet and it gave it that just cleaned smell, I loved it and it cleaned the toilet etc better than anything else I've used in the past.
I would prefer a spray bottle as it was difficult not to use too much in its current bottle.

Q3 very effective and even better as previously said but definately not for the kitchen as I have granite tops

Q4 I would buy a 500ml bottle at maybe an offer price as I'd only use it for the bathrooms.

Q5 yes I would recommend it, in fact my mums house is being re done and I'm going to lone her the bottle to clean her bathroom and I'd assume she would use it elsewhere as she likes a floral smell.
Overall I am very happy as it took a fraction of the time to clean my toilet than it usually does.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean? in the kitchen
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like? overall it was good. I have a sink that is some type of rubberised material that is a bear to keep clean, and it made a huge difference when cleaned with the Cif. It worked well on counters and the cooker.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product? I'd say it was pretty effective. Seems to get through gunk pretty well.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not? That seems to be average price, I might buy it again. I do tend to watch for bargains, but obviously it's only a bargain if it works. I'd most likely watch for sales and pick it up then.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend it as it worked well.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen and bathroom.

In the kitchen, I used it to clean the worktop, the oiled tablecloth, the sink, and the underneath of my kitchen table which had not been done in years (see before and after pictures).

In the bathroom, I used it to clean the glass shower screen and the basin.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I found it very effective on various surfaces. My shower screen was not very dirty as I had used the Method mint cleaner on it a week ago or so. However, I found the end result much better and the glass is cleaner than it has ever been.
I also found it that I did not have to work very hard to clean surfaces. My kitchen table is made of laminated wood and the end result (After picture) was obtained after minimal scrubbing with a sponge. (The little black dots that remain are due to chipped pain, not dirt!).

I like the fact that the scent is fairly neutral and the product is not aggressive on my hands.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
I think it is an excellent product. I find it more effective than its competitors. I have used cheaper cream cleaners (e.g. supermarket own brands) and they are a lot more liquid, so you need to use more product. I think the micro-particles in Cif are also good at shifting the grease and the dirt. I have used a couple of Method products and they seem to 'clean the dirt' but leave it in position if it is ingrained (e.g. on a worktop that is not totally smooth).

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have bought it in the past and will buy it again. Actually, I have a 500ml bottle, which I bought a couple of months ago. However, I typically buy it when an offer is on so that I do not have to pay the RRP.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would as I think it is one of the best products on the market, even though I am trying to become more and more environmentally friendly.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

In the kitchen and the bathrooms

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I loved the smell or rather I loved the fact that it wasn’t an overpowering smell. It also didn’t aggravate my sensitive skin. I don’t like the fact that I had to rinse it off after - seems a faf but to be honest it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
I didn’t have to use half as much and was quite impressed that it didn’t leave white streaks after I rinsed it

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would buy it again for those stubborn jobs when you know you are going to have to scrub – with Cif it removes the need for scrubbing

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes – I have already recommended it to my mom to use on her patio furniture

Q1. I used it in the kitchen and the bathroom.

Q2. I liked it. It smells really nice, not overtly chemical. It was easy to use on small areas like the hob top and the bathroom sink. I found it more difficult to use on larger areas like the bath and areas of wall tiles. This was because of the way you apply it. It was time consuming on large areas.

Q3. It brought the stainless steel up to a lovely shine which was nice. It cleaned my hob top well with minimal elbow grease. It didn't work so well in the bathroom, but the water here is incredibly hard and I'm beginning to think my bathroom is beyond help.

Q4. £2.50 seems quite expensive for such a small bottle, but a little does go a long way. I would consider buying it again, depending what else in the shop was on special offer.

Q5. I would recommend it, as an alternative to the usual spray and wipe cleaners most people use.

Hiya! Here is my Cif feedback...you can read my blog for more detail.

  1. kitchen and bathrooms
  2. I thought is was excellent. Very effective and smelt far better than the toxic sprays you can get!
  3. I thought it was very effective and a little goes a long way.
  4. I think that £2.50 represents value although there is significant competition from special offers etc.
  5. If I began talking about cleaning products with friends I would be concerned for my well being but I would recommend it!

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen and bathroom

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It was more effective than I remembered Cif being. I have a shiny clean bathroom and kitchen! It got rid of soap scum off shower tiles with minimal fuss and left them sparkling. I also used on the inside of my oven door and it lifted off all the grime! the only thing I didn't like was the smell!

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
it was good for a deeper clean, however I wouldn't use it every clean.
And like the smell of my usual cleaner better.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I probably would buy it again for a good deep clean.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I may recommend it if came up in conversation, If someone was moaning about cleaning bathroom tiles and scum.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
I used Cif in my kitchen, bathroom ane tiles on my fireplace.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
I found it worked really well on areas that are supposed to come up shiney, like the bath and hob in the kitchen. These areas came up amazingly well, much better than the usual cleaners that I use.
I did think it had a harsher smell than my usual cleaners, and after using it for a short period of time I had red marks on my skin that itched for the rest of the day. I don't usually have this problem with cleaners, and while I do have sensitive skin it's not usually irritated by cleaning products, which makes me think Cif is very harsh to get the results it does.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
I found it very effective in some areas, and quite average and no better than my usual cleaners in others. My bathroom taps, which are old and tarnished came up brilliantly with the Cif, and did have some shine to them which I don't usually get. I also loved how easy it was to get dried on food produsts off the hob with just a quick wipe over when usually it would take some scrubbing. I found in these places I needed less effort and less product than I would usually use to clean.
In areas I thought it was average it came out the same as my usual cleaners. My counters were no easier to clean than usual and I feel I used more product than I would normally to get food marks off them. It also took longer from having to rinse my sponge more and refil the product.
I also felt small areas like my toilet weren't really worth using Cif on as the process was longer for the same results. I would usually wipe my toilet down with antibacterial bathroom wipes quickly, whereas Cif took much longer for similar results.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'm not sure I would buy it at £2.50, but may consider it if I saw it on offer somewhere. Since it is so harsh and I get the reaction I would also need to buy cleaning gloves to go with it, which would put the price of using Cif up even further since I don't use them anywhere else.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't recommend it as a general cleaner, but if someone was complaining they didn't get a good shine from their current cleaning products I would recommend Cif for that purpose.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
On the hob and kitchen surfaces
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It cleaned quite well, but I had to keep getting a bit more to use and then make sure it was thoroughly rinsed off, which is more of a faff
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
It got the crud off the hob more easily than with my usual spray cleaner, but it didn't touch the stuff my usual cleaner can't get off, which I thought it may. So it saved some effort but didn't improve the result
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Probably not at that price. I like quick, spray and wipe products, not squirt onto something, rub and rinse products.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Probably not, it gets stuff off more easily, but that advantage is lost in the application and rinse for me.

I used it in the kitchen, on the cooker and also the bathroom.

My overall impression was that it was very good. When i was younger it left a chalky residue, this didn't happen with this product. I also liked the smell after i had used it both rooms smelt clean IYSWIM.

I usually use supermarket own brand cleaning materials but this was really good compared to them it also left my cooker looking like it sparkled thats not happened since i brought it

I think i will be buying this product again as it can be used on a few different areas in my home and also because of the smell it leaves behind.

I would recommend Cif to friends and family, and it will come up in conversation as i'll be telling them i took part in this product test haha.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

I used it in the bathroom and kitchen.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I was really impressed with it, I usually use spray cleaners thinking that they did a more effective job but I can now see that I was wrong!!

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

Much more effective. My bathroom sink has never really had a shine before :( but now it is gleaming, it has made such a difference.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I probably would buy it but would look out for it on offer as I usually spend around £1 each on cleaning products of this sort.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would, and have recommended it, I think it's a great product that has been forgotten about due to all the new 'we do everything' sprays. I however found the Cif Cream to give a much better finish and despite having to rinse off afterwards the results were worth it. :)

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

The bathroom - sink and bath

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I didn't like the initial smell but by the time I'd finished it had grown on me as it was nice that it wasn't too overpowering like some spray cleaners, the bathroom just smelt clean rather than of some choking artificial smell. It left everything clean without too much effort so I was very happy with it.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

I usually use whatever is on offer when I'm buying cleaning products and this was just as effective as anything I'd used previously.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

At £2.50 a bottle probably not as I never normally pay more than about £1 for a cleaner. I'm not sure it would last very long either as quite a lot comes out when you squeeze the bottle & it's difficult to get the right amount.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm not sure, if someone was after something effective but without the overpowering smell of some cleaners then I would but it seems quite expensive at £2.50.

Morning sickness has left me barely able to move from the sofa lately, let alone clean... But my trusty DH has risen to the task and tried out the Cif Cream on my behalf. The below are his thoughts - hopefully it'll be interesting to get a domesticated male perspective!

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
The kitchen cooker hob.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
It was good, it managed to clean and was smooth enough that it didn't scratch the stainless steel surface. It struggled a little with the burnt on food. It has a mild smell, but it was pleasant.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
It was more effective.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. It's the sort of product I'd keep on the utility room shelf for tackling certain areas.

Good at getting stainless steel sink sparkling even removing paint splashes from DIY & tea stains. Smells ok
Don't like that it can leave a slight residue when used on the worktop
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Good for stubborn stains not sure i'd use it for more everyday wiping as it takes a bit more elbow grease to remove residue than using a spray
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I think i'd keep a bottle of it around for the big cleans/ stubborn stains but not everyday wiperound I'll stick with my gorgeous smelling method for that.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I don't really talk about cleaning products with friends and family that would be weird but if specifically asked if I knew of something to shift stubborn stains then I'd suggest giving it a try.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

Kitchen - hob, cupboard/drawer fronts. Walls.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

It seems pretty good but by no means amazing. Because it is basically abrasive, I would hesitate to use it on worktops (granite) or on our very precious oak kitchen table, so it is more a replacement for the Astonish paste that I use to shift tough marks, rather than for the anti bac spray which I generally use (followed by glass cleaner for the granite). Smell is OK (and I am very picky about smells of cleaning products).

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

See above - it's pretty good. Still can't quite shift the burnt on mess on our impossible-to-clean hob, and didn't shift the stains where the liquidiser full of plum puree exploded up the walls, but it didn't claim to be able to, to be fair. It was good at shifting general grease and grubbiness from the kitchen cupboards.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Maybe. I won't use it up at the same rate as the general spray cleaners (since work surfaces and table are the things that get cleaned most often) but might well replace it when it runs out.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't advise against it, but I very much doubt that my friends or family would look to me for recommendations on cleaning products as my house is hardly a shining example Blush

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Bathroom, specifically basin and bath
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
The bottle was smaller than I'd expected. When it came in the post I'd forgotten it was being sent and I couldn't imagine what the phallic shape was. I suspect the postman is now gossiping about me! My first impression was that it was rather runny - it ran quite quickly down the basin. The smell I think is OK. It smelt very "clean" and reminded me of my childhood bathroom in the 1970s!
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Very effective. I've used lots of more gimmicky products in recent times that never do what they claim to. The basin was pretty grimy (I'm not quite sure what my family do in it!) but it pretty much got off all the dirt and soap scum with minimal effort. I didn't leave it on there long, only 30 seconds and it still worked well. I think if I give it one more go today it will get rid of the final bits of limescale round the taps. It was very scrubby feeling but I liked this as I think it helped it cut through the dirt.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely. If it comes up on special offer I will stock up on loads. I'm going to return to cif now.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I don't really talk about cleaning (my friends wouldn't believe I do much!) but if it came up I would. I know my mum already uses it and her bathroom is always lovely and sparkly so I don't know why I didn't take the hint before, really!
