Q1. Kitchen sink and drainer, ceramic hob, basin and taps
Q2. It was very effective, although I needed to leave it a few minutes on the hob (where something had burnt on) before it started to work. Taps were sparkling and sink looked good. I thought it was very good. I found it a bit thin and runny so it was easy to get too much out.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product? I use different cleaners on the different areas but it was definitely an improvement on the hob and also on the basin and taps.
Q4. I would probably buy it, although £2.50 seems expensive compared to the own brand cleaners I usually buy.

2. I liked the smell, not much product was needed and it cleaned well. It was much less gritty than I remembered it being previously. Left the bathroom very shiny!
3. Usually use supermarket own brand cleaner, this was better.
4. I probably would buy at the rep, a little goes a long way and it is a more effective cleaner than my usual one.
5. If the subject came up, I would recommend this product.

Q2: overall impression very positive. Liked that it removed some marks/stains that other bathroom cleaners have failed to remove.
I don't like the bottle. The lid appears to not close very well once open, I worry that it may spill in the cupboard if knocked over and it's definitely not child proof. It takes a while to rinse off so I would only use to give a deeper clean rather than a quick wipe down. Not sure if I like the smell or not.
Q3: big improvement. Need less (although its easy to use alot) and works well.
Q4: would stock up when on special offer
Q5: not really kind of thing I discuss with friends/family but if I did then yes I would recommend.
I used Cif (or Jif) cream cleaner years ago and it irritated my hands however they seem ok this evening so big improvement there for me!

I used the product in my bathroom and downstairs loo.

My overall impression was that the product smells nice and is pleasant to use, but is about as effective as my normal cleaners. Saying that, I did notice a good shine on my sink. I am pretty loyal to Dettol and Method products and will probably remain so, but I did like the gritty aspect as it feels like you can feel yourself making a difference.

I wouldn't buy it at £2.50 but might if it was on offer/in poundland!

I wouldn't recommend it unless cleaners came up in conversation. If they did, I'd probably say it smells nice but wouldn't really push anyone to buy it.

The smell this surprisingly pleasant. It seemed thinner than usual cream cleaners but it very good and removed really stubborn stains.

Very effective, much more so than my usual spray cleaner.

£2.50 does seem a lot for a cleaner, especially the size I received. If it was a bigger size then yes, I would.

Yes, I would recommend Cif. Worked well on a variety of surfaces.

Q2. Nice cleaner. It was easy and effective to the clean with it. I would have liked it to be more effective with limescale.

Q4. At that price no as it is quite high comparing to other products I use. However if on a offer or cheaper I would.

Q2. It was much thinner than I expected - it was a bit too easy to squeeze out more that I needed. The smell wasn't too strong which was nice. It did clean well but I found that it did need to be rinsed really well otherwise it left a residue, it wouldn't be good for daily quick cleans but maybe for a proper 'deep' clean.
Q3. about same effectiveness, but took slightly longer as needed a proper rinse after.
Q4. I don't think I would, I may consider if on offer.
Q5. I might but would say same as above that it does need a good rinse or leaves residue.

I loved the smell which left a fresh and clean smell.

It was a little thinner than I was expecting but I found I could control the amount well enough. It cleaned well around the taps on my steel washing up area including removing the slight build up of limescale (very hard water area)

Yes I will be buying this again and think that is a competitive price for this product.

I used it in the kitchen on stainless steel sinks and in the bathrooms on the white basins and toilets

I thought it was good. I liked the clean smell and it didn't leave streaky residue, I rinsed it well with hot water and buffed it up to a nice finish.

Better on the stainless steel than my usual spray, same results on the white surfaces.

Hmm, £2.50 seems quite expensive, I got 500ml of Flash spray for 98p last week. If it was on offer I would buy it.

Yes, for the results, but no because of the price.

Made me feel very nostalgic as I remember my Mum using the yellow one to clean our kitchen years ago. I approached with trepidation as I sued to dislike the grainy feel but actually, this didn't feel very grainy at all and had a lovely light clean smell.

Very effective - sparkly taps and gleaming sinks, very impressed.

Seems like a fair price but I usually wait until household cleaners go on offer then I stock up.

Bathroom (toilet seat, bath, sink) & kitchen (counter, sink)

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

It has a much milder smell than many similar products, relatively pleasant. The product is something between a cream & a liquid, it comes out of the bottle quite quickly so it's easy to squirt too much out by accident. I noticed that although I wiped my kitchen sinks while running the tap, there was still a residue. (see photo)

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

It removed a truly gruesome stain under the toilet seat that has defied all attempts to remove it. Sorry no photos as I hadn't got the email when the sample arrived, I rushed straight off to see if it would work & IT DID!

It also removed the purple stains from the bath (cheap bath mat), said stains had survived several rounds of bleach, plus many types of bathroom cleaner etc, scrubbing sponges.

It definitely made my kitchen sink shine much more, (see photos). Front of sinks cleaned with Cif, back cleaned with my usual.

Yes - although it is a bit expensive for the size of the bottle compared to other brands, it does seem more effective. I would probably only use it on areas I can sluice down though, as the residue was rather hard to rinse away.

• I don't generally discuss cleaning products, but yes, if the subject came up, I would. It was easier to use & more effective than my usual cleaning product & had a milder smell.

I used in it in the kitchen on worktops and ceramic hob and in the bathroom.

I was pleasantly surprised. I've never used a cream cleaner before, I think I was put off by the old bottles of it I used to see shoved in the back of my mother's cleaning cupboard with dried cream cleaner encrusted around the tops. I always saw it as being a bit old fashioned and therefore not as effective as sprays. However I found it cleaned well with little effort, and left a pleasant, fresh and clean smell. At the time I thought I was using a lot but when I looked at the bottle I didn't seem to have used as much as I thought I had.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

I found it to be more efficient. It left a clean shiny finish on all the surfaces I used it on, particularly on the ceramic hob.

Yes, especially if it was on offer. I would happily use it again.

Nice smell. It cleaned well. Was not sure how much to use – just squeeze the bottle and a lump comes out. I probably squeezed the bottle too hard as a lot came out so took a bit of rinsing to get rid of the residue.

I don’t normally use ‘creams’ to clean – I usually choose sprays. It is probably more effective than a spray.

Test bottle is very small – just looked and it is 250ml so would probably pay £2.50 for a bottle twice the size – more so if it was on offer.

Probably not a thing that would come up in conversation, cleaning is not my favourite subject! I would comment that I thought it was a nice product if ever this sort of topic came up though!

Have just quickly looked at the thread and noticed that someone used it to clean their oven doors. Mine are glass and I normally use a glass cleaning spray on these. Thought I’d just give this a go before I posted… Well, am very impressed! Much quicker to use than the spray glass cleaner and gives a great finish. I have been converted!

So far I've used it to clean the kitchen worktops, sink, hob, bathroom and front door.
The oven is next. I hate cleaning the oven. It's old and came with the house.

It is effective and smells quite nice. I found rinsing a bit of a pain as if you use too much (difficult to gauge) you end up with a residue.

About the same but the house was pretty clean to start. trying it on a tougher job later.

Additional to my previous comments yesterday evening, I've used it a bit more today. Again I forgot to use gloves & was expecting the usual horribly dry skin on my hands by today. Pleasantly surprised as my hands aren't much drier than usual. Some products leave my skin cracked & sore, especially around my nails - this didn't.

I thought it was quite good! Cleaned my bathroom sink quickly & easily. I was impressed. I liked the smell. It smelled clean and fresh! I also liked the size & shape of the bottle. It fitted in my hand nicely & wasn't too heavy. I felt easy to use.

I usually use a spray, which I think is slightly easier & quicker to use. It cleaned well though. Just as good as my normal product.

Really good! It did the job great, especially on my cooker, it removed dried on food and dirt without much effort and made my sink sparkly. It doesn't smell too strong and there is no chemical smell which is surprising and good when it is obviously stronger then regular cleaners. Can't say there is anything I didn't like. It wiped away really easy too.

Yeah thats a reasonable price to be fair and it is really good on my ceramic cooker, there isn't a lot of cleaners that do a good job on it so im impressed. And a little goes a long way

Yeah I would. Its a good cleaner, overall I am very impressed! And I can be very fussy about cleaning!
