This thread is for the 400 Mumsnetters trying out the new Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner.

Here's what Mr Muscle say about the product: "Mr Muscle® Touch-Up Cleaner offers a fast and convenient solution to kill 99.99% of bacteria and to clean the most frequently used surfaces in the home. The inventive new design makes it easy to clean surfaces and kill bacteria; simply push down on the pump to apply the formula onto a cleaning material such as a paper towel, cleaning cloth or sponge. Then, just wipe the surface clean."

Below are a few questions we'd like you to answer but please feel free to add your own comments too. Please also let us know which Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner you're testing.

Also, I just wanted to clarify that the prize winner for this product test has not been chosen. The winner posted in the Winner's Corner was for the Mr Muscle survey that was sent out to the panel a few weeks ago. The survey is completely separate from this product test, and the product test prize winner will only be selected once this feedback thread closes.

Quite easy although found the "twist to open" bit slightly confusing - but I always do!

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? VG, quick and easy way to clean the bath in between "proper" cleans. Am pregnant so also handy to do quick touch up cleans without having to get properly involved!

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? Only used once as I've left it in the bathroom..... whoops.

Really simple such a brilliant idea as the bottle is permanently out and then when I pop to the loo or have unexpected guests I can give everything a quick spruce up in 2 minutes flat. Very handy when I get limited time to clean with a 14 month old around

Very and it left everything nice and shiny not smeary like a lot of cleaners. Great for the bathroom taps.

Yes because of the simple design I found myself using it most days as it was so easy and it was satisfying having a bathroom with that just cleaned gleam all the time

Not sure what else would be useful apart from bathroom and kitchen.

I have already recommended it to friends especially ones with kids as it makes it so easy to keep your bathroom clean. I will also be going out to buy the kitchen version.

There were no difficulties using it at all

Tbh about as effective as any other product I used the bathroom cleaner and in hindsight perhaps that wasn't the best one to try as in the bathroom there isn't any burnt on bits to tackle or greasy spots to wipe up.

No that is far too expensive

I don't think it is needed for the bathroom so perhaps just concetrate on the kitchen

The funky bottle shape and the novel way of applying it to the sponge Also the antibac

Not the bathroom one i can see it being more use in the kitchen. Tbh the same thing can be achieved with a wet cloth and a bit of carex hand soap. The MMTU would need to be left in the bathroom to be available to touch up clean however I would not be comfortable leaving the product in the bathroom as it is so easy to unlock and i can see accidents happening with young children. Putting the product out of reach would nullify the ready to hand aspect. In the kitchen I think it would be more effective and I might consider buying it for that but the bathroom cleaner I don't feel has a place.

For touch ups and sanitising, very efficient. Wouldn't use it for proper weekly cleaning, but that's not what it's meant for so that's ok

I used it in place of the dettol spray that I normally use

I'd probably go back to dettol as I think per ml it's cheaper. Will check that before deciding whether to buy again

I don't think it's significantly better than other options so probably wouldn't think to recommend it.

It was easy to use when it was out; its not something I can leave on the side to 'grab and go' clean due to one of my children's needs, so it was as easy to use as any that are stored in the cupboard

Fine in the kitchen, had to use a little more in the bathroom than the kitchen

I used it more because I didnt buy a new one whilst testing this; the only one I would use more if I had it is Flash bathroom as it smells nice and I find it really reliable.

Probably not. If I am not buying eco products I buy the Flash ones when they are on offer (£1 for example) and I havent got £2.99 for a product that does the same as the other products

I use polish throughout the rest of the house and a dry/water wet cloth for other areas. I am not sure what other products could be available for the rest of the house so I am not sure what to answer.

The pump standing up bit was interesting but I wouldnt pay extra for it.

People commented on the difference but also stated that its not much different than getting a spray out of the cupboard and cleaning the little/lot you need to clean.

Mine has just been delivered! Got the kitchen one.

I think the problem with late delivery stems from the fact that it seems they have all been sent out with insufficient postage! Mine has a big stamp on it saying the correct postage has been raised by "Revenue Protection".

Have to say, I'm surprised it is so small.

I was inspired and so already used it.

I have the bathroom version.

So easy. I have never used anything easier.

Extremely. Touched up the taps and the sink, which my husband claims to rinse out after he shaves in the morning, but I have my doubts.

Well, I just got it, but I can see myself grabbing a cloth and having a quick wipe around while son is in the bath. Am also thinking I can probably get husband to do the same after he shaves in the morning (see above).

Yes. Totally worth the cost.

I may try the kitchen one, but I can't think of any other area it would be useful for.

It's just right there. Staring at you! No excuse to not use it!

Yes. I may recommend it to my MIL, actually. She has a cleaner but is always fussing between cleaner visits. This would help her a lot.

Not received mine yet! Just got an email to say that I have been chosen. Will have to update later after trying the product!

I thought I hadn't been chosen for this trial...but then a parcel arrived this morning with my sample! It smells gorgeous and really cheered me up after my diagnosis of kidney stones at the GP this morning!

I am still really liking this and the toddlers interest has worn off now. I think it looks smart in the bathroom and it would be great if it came in a variety of colours so you could match it to your decor (like toilet roll does)
