This thread is for the 400 Mumsnetters trying out the new Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner.

Here's what Mr Muscle say about the product: "Mr Muscle® Touch-Up Cleaner offers a fast and convenient solution to kill 99.99% of bacteria and to clean the most frequently used surfaces in the home. The inventive new design makes it easy to clean surfaces and kill bacteria; simply push down on the pump to apply the formula onto a cleaning material such as a paper towel, cleaning cloth or sponge. Then, just wipe the surface clean."

Below are a few questions we'd like you to answer but please feel free to add your own comments too. Please also let us know which Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner you're testing.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Very easy... I was surprised and impressed by the packaging.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It was effective but I needed to use more than one pump of the product each time where as with a spray one spray would cover quite an area.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Not particularly... I cleaned up the same as I would with other products e.g after making meals, before sitting at the table.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I wouldn't pay this for a kitchen cleaner alone. I feel the price is more based on the new presentation than the product.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I received the kitchen cleaner but I would be more inclined to buy the bathroom product as it would last longer. It would be nice to have it as a carpet cleaner as we're constantly having little spills.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

The dispenser is unique and isn't unsightly, plus the smell isn't too strong but still gives you that nice 'I've just been cleaned' satisfaction scent.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Im not sure it would be the first thing that springs to mind but i would recommend it. If it specifically said 'child friendly' I would be more likely to recommend.

Thank you so much Mumsnet and Mr Muscle for choosing me to try out the kitchen touch up cleaner.

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
I found it really easy to use and a good size to keep beside the sink for a quick wipe around.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I found it very effective as a touch up cleaner.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I use it the same amount as other cleaners - normally I would just spray a small amount of cleaning product to do a touch up clean so this is less messy and more convenient.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I would buy it again and the bathroom one but possibly when on special.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Yes I would like to see one for wooden floors - we have wooden floors throughout house and it would be useful for small spillages rather than getting out the mop or using a wipe.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I liked the ease of use, the smell and the simple, attractive packaging which can sit beside my sink.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend this to friends/family as it is convenient, well packaged and easy to use as well as killing bacteria.

Thanks again - I really enjoyed this trial.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Very easy to use.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Very effective - cleaned well.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes definitely used it more as it was so easy to use.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Maybe, I'm not sure. I'd definitely buy it if it was on offer.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I think Kitchen and Bathroom are the main two areas I would use it for to be honest.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

The discreet packaging and ease of use.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes definitely but would recommend to wait and see if it was on offer.

I tested the bathroom cleaner

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Easy enough although if I did find I was using more kitchen roll than I usually would as you can not go back for extra product on same roll for hygiene reasons. With my normal cleaner I would spray sink and then use same towel with extra spray on the loo seat. I buy decent kitchen paper to use for this purpose.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Just ok to be honest. It is felt like a wipe rather than a "proper" cleaner. Also found the smell to be too insipid - I like to walk in bathroom and know it smells clean.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
No but only because I have a disabled son and have no choice but to clean the bathrooms very regularly .
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I think that is expensive for what it is. Clever concept but not worth that much.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Hard kitchen surface possibly? I tried the bathroom on my kitchen work surfaces as they can be difficult to clean without smearing and I thought as it was suitable for mirrors it might be ok. It was but not better than cleaning then using a dry micro fibre cloth.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I did like the packaging and if the product seemed more effective I would possibly buy it.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
I do not think I would as I don't think it is value for what it is.
CakeExpectations · 03/09/2013 11:50

I am testing the kitchen cleaner.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Very easy. It would be good for anyone with hand mobility problems (eg DGM with arthritis) as it's easier than using 2 hands and spraying a trigger bottle. My DCs use this, when they wouldn't necessarily use a spray bottle.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Very effective for the spills we've tried it on, on the kitchen table and worktops.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I leave the bottle out next to the kitchen towel on the worktop, and DCs have quickly adopted the habit of folding a kitchen towel, quick press down and wiping up their mess. So yes, it does get used more often in this household than our existing cleaning products - but I haven't personally increased the number of times I wipe up spills. I would still have got out the spray bottle just as often. Both types of product now get used a few times per day.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I will buy it again, as its presence on the worktop and ease of use has meant that the worktop gets wiped more often than before, by other household members. I would rather pay a bit less and buy a refill though. We tend to do 2 squirts per wipe. That would equate to roughly 2.5p per wipe-up. Add this to the cost of the kitchen towel, and I think this is quite a lot; but maybe I'm my father's daughter! (Will probably try refilling it with a less expensive kitchen cleaner anyway.)

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I don't think others would be necessary.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Ease of use.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, I think it would be much easier for elderly people to manage. It is quick and easy, smells nice and clean, and doesn't take up too much room on the worktop.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why?

BigTootsy · 03/09/2013 14:05

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
I found it easy to use, although I was unsure at first if the cloth was wet enough, so kept coming back to the dispenser.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I used it on my kitchen sides, hob and tiles. It worked. But I felt like at time is had to rub a bit harder than I do with my dettol kitcen spray.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Yes, I used it v regularly. I left it out by the sink with a cloth ready for action.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I don't think I will as mentioned I find dettol more effective. I am also not keen on the dispenser. I prefer a spray or a ready loaded wipe . I thought the dispenser ugly.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
I'm not keen so this product, so no.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Not alot really.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
No, as stated above I don't like it.

My product arrived on Friday...Kitchen Cleaner.
Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to participate.

1.I found the product very easy to use. However, I found it very difficult to avoid product coming through towel or microfibre cloth, onto my fingers.

  1. I found it very effective on the outside of the oven and worktop areas. Less effective on my stainless steel kitchen sink.
  1. I have used it quite a lot because of the trial but I do use a surface cleaner with antibacterial properties in my kitchen on a regular basis anyway. I use it after preparing food on the work surfaces and after dinner on the table and kitchen mats.
  1. I think that £2.99 is expensive as there is only 300ml against 500ml in my usual product.
  1. The bathroom one appeals, even more now than the kitchen one.
  1. What I liked most was the fragrance and smear free clean on the oven doors. What I liked least was the way the product came through the paper towel on to my fingers.
  1. I might mention I was able to test it in a trial, but can't emphasise enough that I don't like the product on my fingers, including the lactic acid active ingredient, as I am prone to dry skin so this would prevent me recommending it. I would need to wear rubber gloves if using it several times a day so negating the easy to use touch up selling point. Ironically, if product was marketed in normal spray bottle I would be more likely to buy it though I can see from following the thread that this is not the opinion of most posters.

Thank you again for the chance to try the product.

Testing the bathroom cleaner

- How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Really easy to use - just discovered the bottle works any way up. Not experienced any leaks or dribbles.

- How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Very effective. I love that I can clean smeary taps or mirrors without too much effort and without needing to rinse.

- Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes, much more. I usually clean the bathroom properly once a week. With the touch up cleaner, I find myself cleaning the sink, mirror and toilet during DS's bath time every day.

- The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I'm unlikely to buy it again. £2.99 is about £1 more than I would pay for this. It's nice to have a constantly clean bathroom, but I can't commit to purchasing even more products.

This looks like the sort of thing a family with a cleaner might buy to keep the place sparkling in between cleaning visits. As we don't have a cleaner, I just clean when the house is dirty.

- Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

What about a sticky fingers variety for doors, mirrors, walls and windows?

- What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Spill proof and no rinse.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Probably not - I don't tend to discuss cleaning with friends and relatives, but I might suggest it to a friend who was having to keep a house clean for estate agents viewings, for example.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Very quick and easy.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Seemed to work just as well as my regular cleaner
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
As it's always on the side I probably use it more - pretty much every time I wipe off a surface.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Definitely if on offer, maybe at £2.99 as I like it but seems quite expensive.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Something for dusting living room.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I find I'm more likely to clean with something that is out all the time (I'm lazy and getting the bottle out from under the sink is too much like hard work!!) Also the packaging looks nice so don't mind having it on show.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes - easy to use, cleans well. I now want the bathroom one!
onadifferentplanet · 03/09/2013 15:59
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
It is quick and simple to use
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I found it to do a really good job, left a nice shine and pleasant smell - Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I tended to use it as and when I saw a small mark and with my lot that was pretty often! With it conveniently placed on the cistern it was easy to have a quick wipe around rather than leaving it until later
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I think I would buy this product again and will certainly be giving the kitchen one a try too
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
I often use wipes in the living room so would be interested in one for there too What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I found it did a good job with no mess or residue and dried quickly too-
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend it BUT I have one reservation. I used it a lot because it was conveniently sitting on the cistern however it does look quite like a hand wash dispenser and if I had smaller children and had to put it somewhere out of reach I probably wouldn't use it as much
ImFineThankYou · 03/09/2013 16:28

I found the product very easy to use. Clear directions and no assembly. Nice having the option to 'close' the product too.
I thought it worked very effectively. Used on spills it cleared them up well and seems to leave surfaces looking very clean.
I didnt use it on windows as in just not convinced it would be 'quick' and that i wouldnt have to buff for ages after.
I would say I use this product less than my normal cleaners. I normally use wipes round the kitchen and I found I wiped up constantly with those then had a quick going over with this product a couple of times throughout the day. It didn't replace my normal cleaner.
I might buy this product again if it was on offer. Realistically I only buy supermarket brands or when brands are on offer and generally limit spending to about £1 per product unless I really loved it.
I can't think of any other touch up cleaners I'd like to see! Kitchen and bathroom seem most likely to me.
I liked how fast it was to use and the fact it smelt lovely. A light fresh smell. I also liked knowing it woul help kill bacteria. I was not keen on the design at all. I wouldn't choose to keepit out on display looking like it does. I do like how sturdy it is though.
I don't think id recommend it unless someone said they were after something specifically like it. I really can't see how there's a place in the market for it. It seems like jus another product we don't really need.

SevenReasonsToSmile · 03/09/2013 16:32

I've been testing the bathroom and toilet cleaner

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Really easy to use, press down, wipe then done.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It worked really well, the sink needed a proper clean when the touch-up cleaner arrived. Being impatient I used it anyway, I used 5-6 pumps and the sink actually looked like it had been properly cleaned. I've also been using it to clean the nappy bucket, saving me half a bucket of water each time! It's also good for getting soap scum off the tiles easily.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Definitely used it more often, having it just sitting on the bathroom windowsill means its always to hand, I've been using it every time I notice a dirty mark, so generally a couple of times a day.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I will keep buying this product, I loved how well it worked for a product so quick and easy to use. I'll be buying the kitchen one to try too.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
One for little dirty finger marks would be brilliant, and maybe something for dusting.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
How easy it was to use by not needing to rinse it afterwards.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
I'd recommend because its easy to use and works well.

Thanks for the chance to participate :)

cocolepew · 03/09/2013 17:55

Kitchen cleaner.

I found it easy to use but duse too much bcause I wasn't sure how much had came out until the cloth was wet through.

It was in really effective, removed chicken tikka masala stains quickly and well.

I used it slightly less than my spray.

Yes I would pay £2.99 for it.

Can't think of anywhere else to use one.

I would recommend it, it was a effective cleaner and good for spills. It looked nice too, nice bottle.

I don't think I would use the kitchen one again but I'm going to buy the bathroom one, it would be really handy for doing the sink and top of the toilet.

Thank you for giving me the chance to take part.

halestone · 03/09/2013 17:57

I tested the kitchen cleaner.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
I found it very easy to use, i LOVE the design of it.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
i found it very effective especially at cutting through grease. The only problem i have found is that it leaves smears on my high sheen cupboard doors.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I found that i m using it much more regularly as i have left it by my kitchen sink so its dead easy to get a cloth and clean the sides down.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes this will definitely become a cleaning staple in our home.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
i would like a wood one so that i could wipe down the skirting boards and window sills. If something like that was available in the same design as this bottle i would definitely buy it.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I love the smell of it i also love the design of the bottle
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
i have already recommended it to family especially my house proud grandparents. If it came up in conversation with friends i would recommend it but it is highly unlikely to come up in conversation.
jessica789 · 03/09/2013 19:17

I've found the bathroom cleaner very easy to use and I like the bottle design.

Difficult to say how 'effective' as I've not used it for heavy duty cleaning, but certainly works well as a 'quick wipe over' cleaner.

I have been using it more because I've kept it out in the bathroom right by the toilet. I love that you can use loo roll or kitchen towel, give it a quick squirt, wipe the loo seat and flush it away. No need to get the rubber gloves out and wetting a cloth. I've used it most to give the loo a wipe over after my 3 year old son, but have also used it to wipe the sink over, so used it every day.

The RRP of £2.99 does seem a lot compared to other more basic bathroom cleaners. If it was £1.99 I'd be more inclined to buy it - I assume we're paying for the fancy design of the bottle rather than it being a superior cleaner.

I can't think where else I'd use a cleaner of this type.

What I liked most was the ease of use and minimal effort required.

Yes I would recommend it for the convenience factor.

Tigerbomb · 03/09/2013 20:03

I had the kitchen cleaner
How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use? - easy peasy. Felt right as well

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? - it did a bloody good job on the black tiles behind the hob, the hob itself and the work surfaces - all covered in grease after my son cooked a Sunday fryup
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? - I am using it more often, because it sits their right by the washing up liquid. It's so easy just to get some kitchen roll, pump once and done.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I still like the job the ecover cleaner does (previous test. I do want to try the bathroom one so will probably buy that one.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas? see above
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I like the pump and go and the smell
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not? - already have done. Mom has bought the bathroom one
FrootLoops · 03/09/2013 20:18

I tested the bathroom and toilet Mr Muscle Touch-up cleaner.

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Although it seems quite easy to use I always managed to spray my hands with it along with the sponge which I found really annoying. DH did not have this problem so I accept it was probably just me.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

At first glance when I used it it seemed effective and has a nice smell to it but when I went back about 20 minutes later I found it had left a white powdery residue on the surfaces so I had to wipe them down again.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I really thought I would, it sits handily out on the counter and I like the way it looks but I didn't use as much as I thought because of the powdery residue which is a shame as the idea for the product is a good one.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I don't think I would buy this again. If I liked it then £2.99 seems expensive for something that I would need to buy often but when it came down to it I just didn't get on with the product at all so would not buy it in future.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I think kitchen and bathroom are the rooms most suited to this product and don't see a big need for it in other areas of the house.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I liked the look of it and the smell was very nice but not overpowering. The lock feature was handy too.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

No I don't think I would recommend the touch-up cleaner because I personally didn't like it.

Further answers after more testing!
I have the bathroom cleaner but have been using it mainly in the
Kitchen as personally I found I wasn't using it as a touch up cleaner in the bathroom. The principle was good but with 3 children aged 4 and under I am lucky if I get to nip to the bathroom on my own for a necessary visit let alone have time to whip round the surfaces! Also I don't want DD or the twins to see me using it and it has to be kept out of their reach (so not by the bathroom sink) as they would have it in an instant.

How easy/difficult to use: very easy to use. Love the fact that it doesn't spray everywhere so happy to squirt onto a cloth when food around or the children around as I don't feel like there's millions of drops in the air which you wouldn't want to settle on your lunch or the children.

How effective: yes, effective enough, I used it on a bathroom not cleaned in a while and on the children's tomatoey pasta sauce. It didn't need too much scrubbing.

Did you use it more regularly and if so how often? Yes I used it more regularly in either kitchen.

Rep £2.99 - likely to buy it? I would buy the kitchen one if it was on offer at £2 or under.

Would you like it for other areas? No

What did you like the most? The fact that it doesn't spray the room.

Would you recommend? Yes but I'm not sure to whom!

Thank you for letting me try it - it is fun!

A little late to the party, finally received my cleaner today - I got the kitchen one.

how easy or difficult to use
Very easy, I've been using it with a sponge cloth as don't want to generate more waste by using kitchen towels. Simple.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Quite effective for a quick wipe over but my kitchen surfaces, table etc do get very mucky with a 3 year old and a 1 year old so I needed a bit more elbow grease. Good to freshen up counter tops and kitchen table though.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes I think I did but that is probably as a result of being chosen for the trial. I do really like the smell though!

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Too expensive for me but I would buy it on special offer.

Maybe for glass / mirrors?

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Nice looking packaging, great smell. Liked not having to turn a nozzle or open a bottle, not likely to be spilled by my 3 year old.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes probably but I'm still not 100% sure what its for exactly but maybe my house is particularly mucky

I received the bathroom cleaner.

I'm really impressed with the look of it, it's pleasant enough to leave out all the time and because you notice it, it reminds you to give things a quick wipe over while you're in the bathroom. It's so easy to use and seems very effective - it left my sink and bath looking clean and shiny.

I normally use disposable bathroom wipes to clean, which I'll probably continue to use for my main weekly clean, but will use this inbetween. I've not used it on the toilet though - I prefer to use disposable wipes for that so I can just throw them away after! I think 2.99 is very reasonable for this and would probably buy it.

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
I did find a couple of times that the liquid squirted sideways and got me, perhaps my fault for the way I pressed a cloth to the top?
How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I like the smell of the kitchen cleaner but did not find it was streak-free as claimed. Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I have used this cleaner more often but I wonder if that is because I left it out to remind me to use it whereas normally the cleaners are all in a cupboard.
The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I really don't know yet, I need to give the kitchen a really good going over using just this to see what I really think. For now I might buy it again.

I can't really think of another area just now.

I'd tell people I've used it and I like the smell. Not sure I've seen enough difference with it to recommend.

Kitchen cleaner-

  1. It was easy to place a cloth on top and press down but I didn't like the fact you cant really control how much product you get on your cloth or see how much you are using.

  2. The product seemed to be effective although I prefer to use 'spray' cleaners as you can control how much product you use and where.

  3. I found I have used this product less in my kitchen than other cleaners, its very fiddly and quite messy to use.

  4. I think that 2.99 is very expensive, and because I wasn't very impressed with it, I am unlikely to purchase it in the future.

  5. I don't like the product particularly so wouldn't really be fussed on using it anywhere in the home.

  6. I liked the scent of the product, although I didn't like the colour. It looked like a urine specimen!.

  7. I don't think that I would recommend it personally to others, simply as there are other products I prefer, e.g 'sprays'.
