Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes would use them again. I always liked pampers baby dry. sometimes we go to super market brands to save money but if money's no object I always go for pampers baby dry, since i had my 1st one in nappies now using on my 3rd

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

i find them very reliable especially for over night

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

they are not bad. supermarket can be better value but these are a little better, so just depends how much you are concerned about cost at the time

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes and i have in the past, recommended them to others as the best brand, because my friends who have their 1st babies always ask me this stuff

did the review and survey too

My baby is 5 months old and we're testing the size 3 Pampers Baby-Dry

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

My overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies is that they are lovely and soft, very thin and have very cute designs on.

I requested the size 3 nappies and in hindsight, wish I'd requested the size 4 nappies, however, despite this I've been extremely impressed with the performance of the nappies and have had no leaks through the night.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I don't usually buy Pampers Baby-Dry, or any of the other Pampers nappies available. *I usually buy Asda Little Angels nappies as they are much cheaper and perform well, however, we do have the occasional night-time leak and they aren't as soft or as 'cute' as the Pampers Baby-Dry nappies.

Both Pampers Baby-Dry nappies and my usual brand perform well in terms of dryness.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost quite a bit more than my usual brand, but that's to be expected for a branded product.

I believe I would need to use Pampers Baby-Dry nappies for a longer test period to decide whether or not they would be more economical for long-term use, as I don't think I could make a fair judgement on the use of one pack.

I have decided to buy size 4 Pampers Baby-Dry nappies for use when this pack runs out as I am interested to see if the larger size would perform even better.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies as an excellent 'overnight' nappy.

adagio · 10/05/2013 12:42

Baby Girl Age almost 5 months, size 3

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Nice design, lovely and soft and very absorbent, will definitely use again particularly overnight. Due to softness, no red bits/chaffing on the top of the legs

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Excellent absorption, no leaks here (even with wet poo which tended to come out the top/back of all other nappies including Pampers New born)

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are technically good value, as due to the absorbency they can 'last' longer between changes, however in terms of initial outlay they feel more expensive than supermarket own brands. Personally, I will definitely use overnight without fail, or for days out, but will probably continue to mix with cheaper supermarket own brands for days when I know I am close to home so its easy to handle changes/leaks as the need arises.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely. They are a good fit, very absorbent and seldom leak and IMO slightly 'large' for the size i.e. fit a good range of baby sizes. Some of the supermarkets come up small.

As a previous poster has commented, I am not convinced by the 'golden sleep' strap line though! Makes me think of wee and golden showers too...

TaperJeanGirl · 10/05/2013 12:43

Just got ours today, will be trying them later!

abi2790 · 10/05/2013 13:49

I used Size 4 on my 5 month old. I already use Pampers Baby Dry on him and have always been pleased with them.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Baby Dry work really well for both me and my baby. They definitely stay dry overnight which helps my son (and me, of course) get more sleep overnight. Also, I find Pampers Baby Dry to be much more stretchy than other nappy brands which gives my son the space to be his normal wriggly self. I will definitely be using Baby Dry again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

In the past, especially when my son was much younger, I found that other nappy brands would leak very easily even when he hadn't had the nappy on for very long. This meant that he went through lots of clothes. However, since we've been using Baby Dry we don't tend to have this problem.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think that Baby Dry are quite expensive but it is money worth paying if the nappies don't leak.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend Pampers Baby-Dry to other mums as they have worked really well for me and my son.

melanieclare2002 · 10/05/2013 14:00

Hi, My daughter is 2 and we used the size 4 nappies. I love them and we will definitely use them again. She remained comfortable and dry between changes and they lasted well all night too. She is a very active toddler and the stretchy bits on the legs meant she could run about as much as she wanted comfortably and without being encumbered by her nappy and without it rubbing. These are my main brand anyway, so yes, I will use them again. They compare well to other brands but to be honest I've only ever really used Pampers - I had a brief stint with Huggies when she was quite small but I found they leaked. They are pretty expensive, especially compared to supermarket own brands, but we tend to buy them when they are on offer, in the large multi-packs when the supermarkets have their baby events so they work out good value. I would definitely recommend them to my friends, yes.

dragonb · 10/05/2013 14:24

I trialed size 3 on my 19 week old

I have mostly always used pampers on all four of my daughters, and have never had any problems.
These nappies i found to be thinner on my daughter which seemed to suit her better, she also seemed dryer in the morning compared to the older version of these, especially as she still feeds at night quite a bit.
Yes they are a bit more expensive but would rather pay that than have a grumpy daughter in the morning cause she had leaked.
I would more than happily recommend these nappies to other mums.

Kittenprincess2002 · 10/05/2013 15:22

I have been testing the size 4 nappies on my 9 month old boy:

Q1 My overall impression of Pampers Baby Dry nappies is that they are very good. They are lightweight and soft compared to other brands. I would definately use them again.

Q2 Pampers Baby Dry were much better on leakage than other brands. I tried other brands and ended up having to change a leaky nappy night after night and this never happened with the Baby Dry nappies. So far I have not had a leaky nappy. Very impressed.

Q3 I think Pampers Baby Dry are good value for money. Having used other brands the prices are not that dissimilar, however, Pampers seem to be better at keeping baby dry, especially at night. They are often on offer in supermarkets when buying a large quantity.

Q4 I would definately recommend Pampers Baby Dry to my friends. There are many other brands out there but these ones have been the best so far in my opinion.

toughday · 10/05/2013 15:41

I tested the size 3 on my 15 week old. I was already using a mixture of baby dry and new baby on him and have never had any real issues.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Ds is still feeding through the night and he is dry in the morning with no leaks. I will probably keep using them.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Very little leaks and containment was excellent with the breastfed poo, normally a bit escapes onto the vest but I haven't found it so far with these.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are expensive compared to other nappies especially with how few comes in the carry pack. I would only buy them when on special offer.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would as they are reliable.

kirstysmith01 · 10/05/2013 15:47

i've tried the size 3 on my 7 month little girl and i have to say they are great. so much better than the brands that i have tried, they are lovely and thin and have such great absorbancey that i don't have to worry about changing her bum in the night as we've had not leaks i will be using them from now on as the are reliable and no more expencive than other brands and ive already recommended them to some other mums i know.

Crocodilehunter · 10/05/2013 16:06

My LO is 25 weeks old and we've been trying the size 4 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like using these nappies, the design is cute and neat!
i find that they hold wetness really well and have dabbed a paper towel on the nappies after taking it off and not much liquid transfers to the towel at all, that said I prefer to use them at night when DS is not sleeping as he only has wet nappies at night!

DS has very runny poos and not one brand of nappy i have tried has ever stopped poo leakage fully, the Pampers active fit do this job best for me but Pampers baby-dry is a close runner up!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

As i said, for wet nappies, Pampers baby dry is fantastic not once have i had a problem with leakage and at night DS goes from 7PM till 7:30AM with no nappy changes he ends up with a heavy nappy but a dry bottom these beat any other nappies i have tried in this area

For soiled nappies i find Pampers active fit better than Pampers baby dry, neither stop poo leakage fully but active fit make it that little bit less messy (other brands have failed in this area more so than pampers) That said I preferred baby dry nappies for overnight, active fit nappies aren't necessarily the best all-rounder

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

There are always offers on pampers nappies, i hardly ever have to buy at full price so i do kind of begrudge these full price examples! That said i would still buy them at full price because they do the job so well.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would reccomend these nappies to other parents because they have worked so well for me! I couldnt (with confidence) leave my baby for 12 hours without changing him in any other brand of nappy

gruber · 10/05/2013 16:31

Testing on DS, 3.5 months/15 weeks. Size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Really good, contained both wee & poo well, even a huge poo in the morning when it was sodden. No leakage at all. Definitely would use again for reliability as much as anything - I know that DS will be comfortable, won't wake up wet and the nappy won't cause a 3am nappy /clothes/grobag change situation.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very impressed- better than the supermarket own brand we had been using which leaked & left DS wet up to his armpit. No nappy rash at all, even after 12 hours! I felt confident leaving DS in his nappy all night, especially as he sometimes sleeps through now, it's such a relief to know the nappy won't leak. Because we are rarely in disposables (cloth by day, which don't leak) it's even more important to get the right fit/leakage protection as we only get through 1pack every 3-4 weeks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Well. They are expensive, but at 1/night (we are mostly in reusables by day) they aren't too bad. For me it's the reliability- its a false economy if you get through 2 or 3 supermarket ones per night.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes definitely. Because they are a good fit on my super-long, chunky DS, don't leak and don't give him nappy rash even when he's in it 10pm-8am.

Amma2010 · 10/05/2013 16:47

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to test the nappies. I got size 4 nappies for my son who?s 6 months old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I was very happy with the nappies as they were soft and not bulky. Loved the pictures on the nappies too.
Yes, I?d definitely use them again. They were able to contain my son?s massive explosions which is a plus as previously I have had to change his clothes which were covered in poo that had leaked.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Definitely superior. I?m so happy that as long as I change my baby?s nappy immediately after an explosion there aren?t any leakages. This is a great plus. The nappies also keep him drier for longer.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
In my opinion though they might seem pricier than some other nappies these are good quality. You get what you pay for. Given the benefits I believe they are worth the price especially if one can buy them on offer.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I?ll recommend it as they have managed to keep my son drier for longer and there?s more protection against leakages

Anypants · 10/05/2013 16:51

I tested size 3 on my 11 week old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I thought that they were as good a quality as I have come to expect from Pampers, having previously used their newborn range. They have a nice design and offer a good fit. My only qualm would be the slight chemical smell when you open the packet, although I couldn't smell it when DD was wearing them.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Much better than the supermarket own brand that I was using - she tends to save up her poo over the course of a few days and lets it all go when i'm least expecting it so I need a nappy that can contain the explosion, and it did! Her bum was nice and dry the rest of the time but she didn't last the full 12 hours without needing to be changed.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are more expensive than my normal brand and but if they were on offer i.e. 3 for 2, I would stock up. You do get what you pay for though so I think they are priced correctly.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - they seem to perform as well as they claim to.

kazzymidd · 10/05/2013 17:04

I tried my free pack of 30 pampers baby dry size 4 and they was fantastic no soreness or leaking shall be buying in future

Droflove · 10/05/2013 17:22

Q1 Really good impression of the product. The nappies I had been using sometimes leaked and I thought this was inevitable but the pampers ones can literally stay on all night, 7pm to 7am and although they would break your toe the weight of them in the morning, they don't seem to leak.

Q2 Really good dryness and leak free even after a whole night. The gel fills up the whole way around but still doesn't leak. I found huggies and my cheap but nice and soft kiddicare ones do leak. The former horribly, the later only on occasion. But the pampers are now my favourite.

Q3 I personally am always looking to pay for nappies at approximately 10p/nappy. I dont know how many are in the boxes indicated on this thread!!!!! but I suspect the unit cost is a lot higher. So I will probably be constantly looking for a deal on the pampers. I would not be happy to pay the full price.

Q4 Yes, definitely. I would be saying though that they are far more expensive than other decent enough ones out there.

PastaBeeandCheese · 10/05/2013 17:24

I tried these with my 18 month old DD who had the size 4's.

1/ what was your overall impression? Would you use them again?

I thought they were great. I use Pampers baby dry anyway and Pampers newborn before that so was curious to see if they have really been improved as I've always been really happy with them anyway. I have to say these are an improvement. DD sleeps for 12 hours at night and these nappies are well up to the job and her skin is still dry in the morning.

I will definitely use them again.

2/ How did they compare with other nappies?

I haven't ever tried another brand at home but nursery provide nappies and occasionally use Huggies or Kiddicare. I don't like them. They feel all 'papery' and stiff. They do the job but I'm not sure they'd last the night and my impression is they wouldn't be as comfy.

3/ Do you think they are good value for money?

Yes, they are expensive but in this instance you get what you pay for so I think the price is fair.

4/ Would you recommend these nappies?

Yes, definitely.

Thank you for the free nappies Pampers!

PastaBeeandCheese · 10/05/2013 17:30

Ooo, I wanted to add that in terms of value I don't like the way the number of nappies in the pack decreases as you go up the sizes. Seems a bit mean to me.

grannyagedmummy · 10/05/2013 19:50

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

Baby aged 14 months

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked them. They felt lovely and soft to touch which made me feel happy putting them in. Will definately use them again as they didnt leak, didnt feel damp on the outside when thy had been in for 12 hours and kept my little boys skin dry

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They were better in terms of keeping baby's bum dry and no leakage :))

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Although they are slightly more expensive I haven't used as many as I can leave them on longer so they work out cheaper

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend as they keep baby's bum dry, work out about the same as other brands or cheaper as you don't have to change as often and are soft against the skin.

Pampers Baby Dry:
Carry Pack - £6.49
Economy Pack - £9.99
Jumbo Box - £12.99
Mega Box - £17.49
Giga Box - £22.99

You can find more info about Baby-Dry here.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Bunkbedford · 10/05/2013 19:52

My DS is 6 months old, weighs 17lbs 10ozs & wears a size 4

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They are nice and lightweight and very slim given the - definitely are the most absorbent nappy I've found. overnight they don't keep DS dry for the full 12 hours but I think that's because he has a large feed just before bed, so needs changing after roughly 4 hours but then goes straight through from 10:30pm to 7am. So, the Pampers keep him dry for 8 hours or more. He has never leaked.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

The most absorbent I've found, definitely. Unless absolutely sodden, DS skin is protected and rarely does the skin feel wet.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Pampers are about 25% more expensive than some other alternatives but given the absorbency & fact skin isn't react when wet is worth the extra. I would like to see more offers though, especially on jumbo packs.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend them, because from the beginning with DS I've not changed him in the night unless he's passed a stool or the nappy is sodden.

grannyagedmummy · 10/05/2013 19:57

Forgot to add baby boy is 14 months!!

pinkem · 10/05/2013 20:59

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Before testing I thought the Baby-Dry were the 'basic version' of pampers! 'New Baby' and 'Active Fit' seemed like they did/do more! Very impressed, comfy, no leaks so far.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I've used Huggies and New Baby pampers before; Huggies leaked and just didn't seem to fit! Both New Baby and Baby Dry have had a good fit and are reliable.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Pampers seem expensive next to other brands however I normally buy in bulk when an offer comes up. I would prefer to pay more for something I know I can rely on.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes. They have not let me down up to now.

Pinkpiglet · 10/05/2013 21:42

Testing size 4 nappies on 13 month old DD

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Lovely nappies. Soft material and a nice design. Not too bulky considering the absorbency. The only down side is the slightly chemical smell.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They are great, no leakages so far and they have been tested!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I wouldn't buy them at full price as I shop around and stock up during baby events. The full rrp is too high in my opinion.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would. Baby is kept dry whilst wearing the nappy. No leakages and no rashes. Very good and reliable nappy.

LoganMummy · 10/05/2013 21:59
  1. Overall impression is a fairly decent nappy but for fit for my DS I prefer the Simply Dry - the fit at the back just wasn't as snug.
I would use them again but they wouldn't be my first choice.
  1. Compared to other nappies they were good, seem to hold a lot more wetness but my DS had a huge nappy after about nine hours in bed which woke him up so not the whole 12 hours I had hoped for.
  1. Cost. As mentioned above the Simply Dry seem to work better for us so in terms of value for money, no I don't think these nappies provide great value for money.
  1. Yes, I would suggest friends try them as different nappies suit different babies.

I tested the size 4 with my two year-old son.

janey234 · 10/05/2013 22:20

I used the size 3 nappies on my 11 week old son
my little boy has really sensitive skin and is prone to nappy rash so i am very very careful about what products I use for him i recently changed to these nappies and honestly would not use anything else, absolutely unbeatable for night time use, lovely soft feel against my baby's skin, no leaks at all, fantastic fit and they are so absorbent they don't even feel wet when changing in the morning.
they do seem a little expensive but honestly the value and piece of mind they provide over night is worth it. I would definitely recommend for night time use to friends
