I tested size 4 nappies on my 12 month old.

Q1 I think these are excellent nappies - slim, very absorbent, no problems at all with leaks. I have used Active Fit before but found these just as good and would use them again.

Q2 These were as good as any nappy we've tried for holding wetness and stopping leaks.

Q3 I think they are expensive compared with other brands but they seem to be a very good nappy so are good value nonetheless.

Q4 I would recommend them to other parents.

MimsyBorogroves · 10/05/2013 22:42

DS is 17 months old, and we trialled the Size 4 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Absolutely brilliant. We've been using cheaper options for a while now so it was a pleasant change to have a nappy that fits well and is nice and soft. The size 4 is nice and roomy. There is no chemical smell to them, which I find with the Active Fit nappies.

As with another reviewer, I did find that one of the tabs pulled off one of the nappies without a great deal of force - this was always an issue with Pampers, and I do wish they would fix it.

I would use Baby-Dry again, though. I really do like them, and I feel that they are the best on the market for overnight protection in particular.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Really well. They never leak wee and I feel 100% confident in them lasting overnight. Even in the morning the nappy never looks overfull, whereas other nappies you can see the dampness through them and they often look full to bursting.

We have been having a lot of horrid watery teething nappies and I do find that on occasion the wetness from the poo seeps through at the legs - but this is no different to any other nappy.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Yes and no - I find it difficult to say! They're at the top end of the spectrum cost-wise, but they're also very, very reliable. For a baby who is a heavy wetter, for sensitive bums etc then I think they're worth it. They are also usually on offer in most shops, which helps bring the cost down.

I generally would use a cheaper nappy during the day because we are trying to save money, but ideally a Baby-Dry overnight because I know I trust them. If money were no object I would use them regularly.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, definitely - they're a brand and a product I know I can trust. They do exactly what they say they do.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I tried out size 4 on my 2 year old. Great quality, great fit and no leaks.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Find that Pampers are the only nappies that don't leak, found the same with the trial nappies.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Very good value for money.

Yes, definitely

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked them. They seemed thinner than other nappies, cute designs and really effective against leaks.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They performed better. I either buy Pampers, Boots or Tesco and previously DS2 (15 months) would get leaks when he pooed. No leakage with these at all. I also noticed his bottom seemed much drier when I changed a wet nappy (including overnight very wet ones).

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

The pack size prices aren't much use to me as I never know how many are in a pack - when I buy based on price I always check the cost per nappy on the shelf label instead. I would assume these are more expensive than Tesco or Boots but they were very effective so yes good value for money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes because of the lack of leakage and the thinness (is that a word?!) You have to cart so much around with one or two small children that thinner nappies do help.

DoTheStrand · 11/05/2013 01:01

Sorry meant to say I tried size 4 on my 15 month old.

kellou22 · 11/05/2013 08:00

I tried size 4 on my 6 month old son
Q1... I would use them again they did keep leakage at bay on a nite the only leakage which has escaped have been my sons explosive poos but I've tried different nappies and nothing manages to keep those in. Overall a good quality nappy

Q2..... No leakage over nite so happy

Q3..... Not bad value for money a little expensive but I guess u get what you pay for supermarket brands are cheaper but not as good in quality

Q4..... I would recommend them as I feel there a good quality nappy

Fannydewdrop · 11/05/2013 10:08

I tried size 4 for my 6 month old

My overall impression was they do exactly what it says on the pack, they kept my little one dry all night and would defiantly use them again.

I've use Huggies and sainsburys own and I found that I had to change baby more often as they didn't hold as much, were very bulky and didn't keep her dry

I do find pampers quite expensive compare to other brands and i try to buy them when the supermarkets have them on offer which is most of the time, but for keeping baby dry they are good value for money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would defiantly recommend pampers baby dry to other mums

yogaJo · 11/05/2013 10:50

Baby aged 15 months size 4 nappies

Overall impression are they are well made and definitely kept my DS dry for 12 hours and more.

They were much better than other brands I have used at night.

They can be good value for money when on offer but are not expensive than supermarket brands at normal price.

I would definitely recommend pampers baby dry to other mums as they give great protection with very few leaks. A tried and tested brand you can rely on.

vnmh · 11/05/2013 11:43
  1. Very impressed with the quality & how thin they were & soft, so lovely & comfortable on my boy's skin.
  2. I have been using another well known brand but my son started waking in the night having soaked though his nappy, vest & sleepsuit! Using Pampers, not only was he not wet in the morning but his skin bone dry.
As little one is teething, we get the 'teething nappies' which are not pleasant but made all the better by the faact that none of it leaks out of the legs or up his back as with the previous brand.
  1. They are one of the most expensive nappies available but you really cannot fault them as they more than worth the money! Also it's great when you can pick up the jumbo or mega boxes when on promotion in the supermarkets :-)
  2. I would recommended these nappies 100% because they keep baby dry & secure. Happy baby = Happy Mummy! :-))

I have been using the size 3 Pampers on my 4 month old DD.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like the overall look of Pampers nappies, they seem quite thin in comparison to others eg Huggies which are a bit thick. They did the job in terms of keeping my DD dry ? I haven?t been able to test the 12 hour dryness as my DD doesn?t sleep through yet but there were no leaks after wearing for about 9 hours. There have been some leaks with poo around the leg holes but this may well have been the case with other nappies too with my DD?s explosive poos! I already use Pampers baby dry for my older DC?s nighttime nappies and will continue to use them for all my DC?s.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I have used both Huggies and Aldi Mamia nappies with my DD and with both of these on occasion she has woken up leaking and wet in the night however this hasn?t happened with Pampers so I think they are definitely superior in terms of keeping baby dry at night.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think when the Pampers nappies are full price then they work out more expensive than other brands and do seem too expensive. However when they are on offer (which they usually are) then I think they are worth buying against other brands for the peace of mind that you won?t need to be changing babies clothes in the middle of the night due to leaks!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend them in particular for their reliability of keeping baby dry and comfortable overnight in comparison to other brands.

fourmonthstogo · 11/05/2013 16:01

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think that they are really good. No leaks, fit DD well. I tried size 4, and she is 2 and weighs 13kilo. Would def use again.

I use cloth nappies during the day but use disposables at night - sleep is much too precious for both me and DD to be changing wet nappies at night - this combination of nappies works well for us. In fact we nearly always use pampers anyway at night and find them very reliable.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They are obviously more absorbant than cloth nappies, and I don't feel that I have to worry about leaks with them. I have previously had a couple of leaks with pampers but only after a full night when she had a lot of milk to drink (and to be honest more like 13/14 hours of wear, so not unexpected!) I had no problems at all with this pack.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are good value for money as they are so reliable - but I must admit I tend to try and find them on offer somewhere, which they normally are. Not to bang the cloth nappy drum, but resuable nappies are better value in my view both financially and environmentally.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, and I have done.

Panzee · 11/05/2013 16:05

I am not an official tester but recently changed to Pampers after Huggies pulled out.
Just one question- what is that smell? When a nappy is new on it is atrocious.

Smicha · 11/05/2013 16:08

I tried size 4 on my 7 month old DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Really happy with them for overnight use. DS has worn them for up to 12 hours without leakage most nights. I do think, however, that I would use a size up from the size I'm using during the day as that gives extra absorbency and guarantees a leak-free night. Yes I would use them again as I haven't found another nappy which offers such good night time wear.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They are much better than other nappies I've used. Even though they are full and heavy by morning, DS's skin is still dry. I have used other nappies which have given him nappy rash by allowing his skin to get wet overnight.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? They are a lot more expensive than supermarket brands and don't provide amazing value for money in comparison, although they are better at keeping baby dry so I suppose in reality you will have fewer overnight nappy changes. I only ever stock up on Pampers when they are on offer though, so I wouldn't pay full price for a pack.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes. If parents are struggling with leakages through the night, the overnight protection, in my experience, can't be beaten.

Piemother · 11/05/2013 16:22
  1. Overall impression is that they are better than when I had dd1 when they leaked and caused nappy rash. They feel soft and comfy and I have noticed they are better elasticated than other nappies I use so they fit well. They leak but I've not yet used a nappy that doesn't with bf baby poo! No wee leaks whatsoever Grin
Piemother · 11/05/2013 16:26

3 and 4-
I like that you can buy them in bulk a bit cheaper that's more useful. I think they are a similar price in supermarkets to the naty nappies I was using but more expensive than the sainsburys little ones I have recently swapped to but prob more expensive than aldi.

To friends I would say they are ok, not so amazing that I can see why they are so popular bit they are so soft and comfy and stretchy which others arnt that I've tried Grin

On the whole I liked them much more than when I had dd1 3 years ago.

ELH1 · 11/05/2013 17:30

My son is 3 months old and we used size 3.

Q1. My overall impression is they were good. Nice design, nice and soft. Did what they say they do.

Q2. We didn't have any wet leaks, which we have had with other brands. This includes up to about 10 hours (not left it longer than that).
We have had several leaks of poo up the back and out the leg. The poos were pretty big and sometimes explosive so they may have leaked whatever we were using!

Q3. They are expensive compared to other brands, and when you are getting through about 8-10 a day it soon adds up.

Q4. I would recommend them as a good quality product. Although expensive.

mummy81 · 11/05/2013 19:29

My child is 23 months, we used size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? They weren't bulky at all and they fit really well. Baby liked the pictures. I do find them to have a chemical smell to them when full.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection? I've only ever used reusable nappies or huggies. Can't fault the nappies in terms of dryness. Held my toddlers overnight wee fine.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? I do find papers to be expensive, but Id probably buy in bulk when on offer.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would because I was pleasantly surprised with how compact they are and how much they held.

pinny1978 · 11/05/2013 20:09

size 4, 11 months old.

  1. I liked the pampers baby dry nappies, they were thin, flexible and soft, appeared much better quality than my usual own brand nappy and easily relied upon for overnight use.
2.daughters bottom appeared as dry as usual after a long nights sleep 3.cost of nappies is a problem for me- I am not denying they are improved quality but can I justify the price when we can get away with a cheaper option? I often wait for a special offer and use sparingly
  1. I would recommend pampers baby dry to others despite the price because quality is so good. I would however mention the cost and suggest they look out for special offers to make them more affordable.

TaperJeanGirl · 11/05/2013 21:57

We tried size 4, and my baby is 23 months old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I liked the thiness of them, nice designs, and allowed for free movement for my climbing/dancing/running toddler, I would def use them again, and i'd recommend them.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I use pampers from time to time, but these are much much better at preventing leaks, my daughter has a habit of drinking LOTS of water (in place of a dummy/thumb) and with other nappies she often leaks out of them in under an hour, I have real trouble with her clothes/carseats/buggy/bedding getting soaked, these nappies last a good 4 hours on her without leaking which is as good as we have ever had, and I imagine would last much much longer on a child without my daughters habit

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are more expensive than our normal supermarket brand, but, well worth it, she seems much happier in them as well, as with her normal nappies she just takes them off as soon as theyre wet, which is all the time!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would def recommend them, especially for during the night and days out as they really are the best I have tried in terms of leaks.

YeahThatsTheBadger · 11/05/2013 22:12

Size 4 on my 10 month old.

Q1. Liked them. Slimmer than own brand alternative but very absorbent. Do not like the smell. No other nappy brand smells like it. Wouldn't use them again because it's more expensive than the own brand nappies and the smell puts me off as it makes me wonder what sort of chemicals are in them.

Q2. I had used these before when DS3 still fed once or twice in the night because the own brand nappies leaked but pampers baby dry never leaked.

Q3. Yes, if you buy the larger packs but as the own brand nappies work for DS3, and are cheaper, I don't think they are great value.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would recommend them if their babies nappies were leaking, especially during the night, but otherwise I would probably suggest they stick to own brands.

jes73 · 11/05/2013 22:13

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use Pampers Baby Dry again for my child as it keeps her dry. And it is very good quality. No nappy rash or anything. I did find a strange smell when I first opened the pack but that seemed to disappear once I had it opened. They fit really well.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They do keep dry but I have to say I find the Pampers Active Fit keeps drier.
Compared to other brands they have a really good fit so there is no leakage.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Yes, they are good value for money because you don't need to change very frequently and it keeps dry for long.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would because I love the Pampers brand. The texture is soft and I love the side tabs that prevent leakage. I have recently used a store brand just to try it out and it caused a bad nappy rash so I quickly shifted back to the brand I swear by - Pampers.

mandymilo · 11/05/2013 22:13

lg 11 months tried size 4

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have been using huggies and was looking for a new brand to swap across to. my lg was teething which means lots of dirty nappies and waking in the night. this nappies stood the test not leaking and comfortable for a 12 hours sleep.my lg sleeps 8pm-8am

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
I found the nappies didn't leak any more that other brands I had tried, the nappies were soft and felt nice against her skin and didn't course any redness or nappy rash which meant a good night sleep as well as protection when she was crawling and pulling herself up.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
can be a bit expensive but I tend to purchase in volume and on deals. I use vouchers and keep an eye out for deals.
I will pay for quality in nappies and tend to stick to the brand I trust.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend pampers as a brand you could trust as the nappies meant a good night leak free night which is so important especially when our babies are teething or ill

ChimeForChange · 11/05/2013 22:20

My daughter is 14 months and we tried size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I thought they were ok, I didn't think they stood out massively or had any amazing qualities that other nappies don't have.
I would only buy if I had vouchers or were on a good offer.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I'm surprised at how good others found them!
I usually get Asda Little Angels and I still think they're better.
These pampers are much better than sainsburys own though - they're awful.
I found that these pampers it soggy really quickly and DD was always damp at nappy changes.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they're average price - I wouldn't say they are 'great' value

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't recommend as the best to get - I think they got too soggy too quickly and DD was always damp with them

I'm going to add my comments soon - poor DD has had a sickness bug and its a real struggle to get her to drink anything so they're not getting a proper test at the moment. :(
