Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Liked the nappy. Material not scratchy, DC likes the tiger on it. I would use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

No problems with leakage and skin dry. DC is a heavy wetter, and on occasion when he wakes the nappy is heavy, but this one hasn't leaked.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Difficult. I haven't tried a huge variety of cheaper brands, the ones I have I have disliked as the tabs rip easily, wasting the nappy, or the leaked. I haven't tried brands like Aldi, so it is a small comparison. The value for me is that I buy nappies in bulk from Boots online, which is better value, free delivery and Boots points. I would therefore buy these again, but mainly planned in bulk due to cost.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes.

Judyandherdreamofhorses · 09/05/2013 20:15

I've been using size 4 with my 10 month old DS

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Felt much softer and less papery than the supermarket ones I'd just been using. Sweet designs. Nice and slim fitting. They didn't leak over night and baby's skin wasn't wet in the morning. He's prone to nappy rash - these don't seem to be making it either worse or better.

I'll definitely be using them again, until they stop keeping him dry I suppose.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I found that Pampers Active Fit in size 3 leaked overnight, but once I moved into size 4 (Pampers and supermarket own brand), we had no leakages.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Obviously I'd rather they were cheaper! I'll be buying them though, as I do like them a lot more than the supermarket ones. They feel so much nicer, even on my hands, so must feel nicer on the baby's bottom. I will look for money-off vouchers and supermarket discounts though.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would say that I'd used and liked them. I suppose that's a recommendation. I don't really try to influence others' choices in consumer products though.

The 'golden sleep' claim/ suggestion means nothing to me. My baby wakes frequently, every night. It is never due to a wet nappy and these nappies have made no difference. I didn't expect them to, so am not disappointed.

gilliancd · 09/05/2013 20:15

I tried the size 4 nappies and overall impression was good, they kept my daughter dry and happy. They compare well to other nappies ( except a certain supermarkets which always leak) but I usually use pampers simply dry, and to be honest unless they were on offer I would not pay more for the baby dry nappies as I can't see much difference in the performance.
I would recommend baby dry nappies to other mums, though I'm not sure they are the best value for money.

Willyn · 09/05/2013 20:21

I used size 4 on my 11 month old

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? - I'm very happy with them. We had been using asda's own nappies which were fine but these are much softer and less bulky in comparison. We will be using them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection? - We had tried pampers active fit previously but I don't find they are sufficiently absorbent, particularly with poo which seems always to spill up the back (sorry!). My son's skin has always been dry each time I've changed his nappy with the pampers baby dry and we've not had any nappy rash either which had been a problem with the asda nappies.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? I think they are very expensive and not good value for money unless they are on offer (having said that ive just bought a mega pack which was on offer) My son tends to have several dirty nappies a day so unlike other mums we can't reduce our nappy usage to improve cost-effectiveness even though the baby-dry nappies are more absorbent as I obviously wont leave him with a dirty nappy on.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes - they are soft, kind to baby's delicate skin, very absorbent and don't smell too chemically. I would always recommend shopping around to get them on offer though!

Cassie80 · 09/05/2013 20:27

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Love them...tried another brand with both my sons as newborns....only for a day each, was sick of the clothes changes due to leakage! I trust baby dry 99% of the time! 1% no nappy could hold!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Better than Huggies!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are expensive....but I'd shop about and bulk buy so I can afford them!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Defiantly! They feel softer than any other brand and yet still do an amazing job!

KirstieAllsop · 09/05/2013 20:33

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Thin and soft. Nice designs. Quite absorbent. Would use again, they seem quite comfortable for my son.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They were fine. No leaks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Not as cheap as supermarket brands obviously, but the quality does seem better so if you are willing to pay a bit more then they are worth it.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, especially as night time nappies as they seem to hold quite a lot of wee.

SomethingAboutNothing · 09/05/2013 20:35

I sampled the size 4 nappies on my 8 month old son.

Q1 Overall impression is good, they are nice and soft and don't feel cheap. Pictures on them are fine. I would use them again.

Q2 the nappies are by far the best I have used for dryness.

Q3 I don't think the prices are particularly good value, however I am prepared to pay them for the quality of the product. I also tend to stock up when they are on offer.

Q4 Yes I would recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies.

annapiechura · 09/05/2013 20:43

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall impression was: really nice design, soft feel, like the flaps and fasteners.
Definitely will be using them again. Keep my baby dry all night. My 4 month old goes sleep at 18:30pm and waking up dry until 6 am. I am sure they could even last longer than 12 hours. Like them also because the moisture dissipates through whole nappy and not make it bulky in just one place.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Because It is my first baby I have always stick to Pampers brand as I believe it is the best. I have been given few Huggies nappies and did not like them at all. Pampers in my Opinion are far much better then Huggies in terms of everything, especially dryness and leakage protection. I don't not have to change them that often and overall design is much better which make much better fit for your baby.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are a bit dearer than other nappies but I believe you are paying for the quality you are getting. And as few people mentioned before, you do not need to change them that often and they snug fit.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely will recommend them as I believe they are really good, reliable keep your baby dry all night, and also have perfect fit. No need to wake up your baby to change a nappy and worrying that its wet. Also I have always have been using Pampers and my baby newer ever had any nappy rash.

My Baby is 4,2 months old and I use Pampers Baby dry size 3 and Pampers active fit size 3 .

I used size 4, little girl is 9 months old.

  1. I was very impressed with them. Very soft and seemed to have a lot of flexibility so were comfortable. You could tell they were good quality. I would use them again.

  2. No leaks to report of. Held everything in no wee leaks at all. Lasted 12 hours no problem.

  3. Are expensive but then again I do believe it is worth it as nappies seem very high quality.

  4. Yes, I would recommend to others.

JodieJones · 09/05/2013 20:54

I have used the size 4 nappies on my 6 month old son. I have had no leaks and have found them really soft and a comfortable fit. I will buy these again, especially when on offer!!

tinapower · 09/05/2013 21:02

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I find pampers baby dry nappies overall very good, compared to other brands of nappies, there is less leaks and very snuggly fitted to baby

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
I have used one other brand of nappies on my baby and I found there nappies very hard not soft to touch, they leaked, baby wasnt happy in them

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
the cost of the nappies do seem more expensive then others but they last longer

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would always recommend pampers to any new mothers, they kept the baby drier for long
I was picked by MNHQ to review this product, which I received for free. This review is in my own words and reflects my true opinion

cannaethink · 09/05/2013 21:25

DS2 is 13 months. Testing the size 4 nappies.

Q1. I like that they are thin and quite flexible. Others can be a bit rigid and stiff and don't look like they'd be in anyway comfortable. I will continue to use them as I've found them to be the most reliable nappy.

Q2. Definitely the best for leak protection. I don't think there's ever been a daytime leak. DS is a tummy sleeper which proves too much for other brands I've tried. We do still have the odd leak though at night, always from the top. I actually usually use size 5 for him at night as that generally solves that!

Q3. I find them not too bad value. They are more expensive but then I use less as they are better. Also, I felt like I could waste a lot of money trying out loads of different brands until I found one I was happy with but cheaper.

Q4. I have recommended them before and will continue to because they are reliable and seem the most comfortable for DS.

6months size 3

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
They're brilliant, no leaks, stretchy so move with him as he's always on the move but with these there's no marks from his nappies anymore. Def use them again if they were always on offer like baby events

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Perfect, no leaks except the occasional big poop

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Have used Asda little angels and they Almost compare but for half the price

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Def would recommend to my friends

Pampers Baby Dry:

Mega Box - £17.49
Giga Box - £22.99

Munxx · 09/05/2013 21:47

Size 4 on my 8 mo son

They are nice and soft, easy to use and much softer than other brands.
They are better than our usual brand in terms of dryness and leakage protection, and also in the morning after 12 hours in the nappy I can't smell any urine which is a big plus as we cosleep.
Price is fine, would recommend and buy them (when on offer!)

youmaycallmeSSP · 09/05/2013 21:53

I tried size 4 for my 6 month-old DD.

  • Overall, I like them because they kept DD dry but that's about it. I've always used them overnight with my older child and have had some leaks but I think that's par for the course with boys as they wee in odd directions. I didn't have any wee leaks with DD but had to change her clothes every time she did a poo. They have also left very sore-looking red lines on the upper insides of her thighs. For those two reasons, I won't be buying them again.
  • I usually use cloth nappies during the day and Huggies overnight (and have a year's supply of Huggies stocked up for this purpose...). The Pampers were better than the cloth nappies at holding wee but useless at holding poo. They were not such a good fit as the Huggies around DD's legs.
  • As a convert to cloth nappies, I do now find the cost of any disposable nappies rather eye-watering. I have always used Pampers for my older DS though and have been happy to pay a premium for a branded nappy that worked well for him. I wouldn't buy Pampers at any price for DD as they just don't work for her.
  • I would recommend other parents giving Pampers Baby Dry a go because they do last all night.
Laurah2013 · 09/05/2013 22:07

So i have been using the size 4 on our 12 month old.

I have to say how impressed i am with the nappy, they kept my little one dry from 7pm through 8am, thats an amazing 13 hours with no leaks. When we changed the nappy in the morning, my littleones skin remained dry so the nappy had held the wee away from the skin.
The nappies are thin (not bulky) and provide a comfortable fit on our little one. The stretch is in all the right areas to fit like a glove.

We have had issues with some brands in the past not keeping baby dry all night so it is a comfort to know that this doesnt seem to be an issue with Pampers Baby Dry.

Although they are expensive in comparison to some supermarket own brands, they do seem to be frequently on offer. Discounts or Multibuys etc, so i think i would wait until they were on offer and then stock up.

These are certainly a nappy i will be recommending.

Dizzy22 · 09/05/2013 22:12

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was overly impressed with Pampers Baby-Dry nappies, they looked fab, nice and slim, cute friendly design, soft to touch and the highest absorbency Ive seen from a nappy. After testing these nappies, i would not look at another brand.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They are fab, i think we had one leakage from the leg (from an explosive poop) but apart from that we had no other leakages and my boy wee's like a trooper. I found i didn't need to change him as often meaning i saved money on nappies, nappy bags, wipes etc. When using supermarkets own or other brands i found myself having to change my boy every 2 hours if not more. Pampers baby-dry have certainly kept him happy, no signs of a nappy rash or sore bottom either.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I managed to get 2 boxes of 92 nappies (184 nappies in total) for £20.00 in Asda, so at just 11p (ish) a nappy i think this is pretty good value, considering they last a lot longer than any other brand we have tried. I can get away without changing him throughout the night now unless he poops of course :O)

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have already recommended them to fellow mums and they are also now using them through out the day and night due to their effectiveness. I would recommend these nappies to all mums i know without hesitation :O)

Thank you Pampers xx

Wearegoingtobedlehem · 09/05/2013 22:36

I tried size 4 on my 2yo who is just within the weight range for that size.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Overall impression was they were a good fit, not too hard or thick. They were absorbent and we suffered no leaks :) I certainly do plan to use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They compare very well - no problems here, :)
That said I do firmly believe different shaped babies suit different brands - DD1 and DD2 have suited opposing brands.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are not the cheapest but in my eyes they do represent value for money - they do absorb well /keep the babies comfy and as far as I am aware do not contain any/so much in the way of chemicals as some less expensive brands. I trust them.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them , as I cannot think of any negatives or any reason not to.

Cuddlydragon · 09/05/2013 22:52

I used size 4 for my 10 month old.

I liked the nappies, they felt very dry to the touch and his skin was very dry indeed. I didn't last the full 12 hours though as my little one doesn't sleep for 12 hours. I changed it after 8 hours usually. I think he would have gone longer and he definitely didn't wake because he was wet. I like that they're not big and bulky. Pampers do have a really distinctive smell (compared to other brands) when wet, it's really chemical smelling, and this is no different to active fit etc in that regard. I find it slightly off-putting and I'm not happy to leave the little one playing with a dry nappy at change time if they happen to swipe one from the changing table.

I was a pretty clueless first time mum and kind of just stuck with active fit, until a friend recomended baby dry at night - I would be happy to pass that advice on - they're great.

Someone up thread mentioned they hated the tag line "golden sleep" - me too, it's slightly odd.

I think they are a little expensive compared to other brands, but to be honest, to avoid a wet baby and a damp or dirty bed in the middle of the night, it's a price worth paying. I usually stock up when they're on offer. Someone once said that nappies are priced to be on offer most of the time - if so, its really annoying, I'm not loyal to a supermarket, and with home delivery I just buy from whomever discounts.

LillyofWinchester · 09/05/2013 22:52

Size 3 trialled with my 4 month old son.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

  • slim, not bulky, good design
  • comfy for baby and rarely leak
  • last a long time overnight (usually have to change him abou 4/5am but he does feed a lot overnight)
  • even though they are more expensive they are good value as they work well
  • my baby is a lot more active with his legs when he doesn't have a nappy on so I wish these allowed more movement from baby. I'm going to try the active fit ones for daytime to see if I like them
  • I think it would be good to have the tips for using nappies which I saw on the link in this thread printed on the packaging.
  • never had any problems with nappy rash while using them which is the biggest plus for me

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

  • I have only tried huggies newborn and tesco own, these are much better than tescos as they don't leak and feel more absorbent.
  • when I run out of this size I'm going to try kiddicare nappies as have heard good things about them.
  • best nappies I've tried for overnight use. I wouldn't trust the tescos ones at all.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

  • I think they are when bought in bulk as you don't need to use as many or wash as many changes of clothes.
  • if I only wanted to buy as small packet of nappies I'd buy a cheaper brand

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

  • yes I would of I thought the parent could afford them, I would also mention trying Aldi and kiddicare ones based on recommendations from others.
ifindoubtnamechange · 09/05/2013 23:05

I had size 4 of these for my DD (22months).

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was very happy with these. I will contniue to use them. They kept DD dry overnight.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

These were the best I've used. I was delighted that they contained leaky poop!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They aren't the cheapest but I found I had to change them less often, so I feel that works out well.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would. They are the best I've tried for dryness and protection against leaking. Also DD had less nappy rash than she has had with some other brands, I think they must absorb urine quickly.

bundlebundle · 10/05/2013 09:06

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would Not use these again, there was a funny smell, my baby had a leak on one occasion after 3-4 hours and they made him sore.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I currently use a supermarket's own brand nappy and I would say the brand I use was in fact better at protecting my son. He was drier & has not had a leak in them, unlike the pampers.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

No I don't think they are good value, they are expensive and do not offer the protection I would expect when spending this sort of money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No I would not recommend, price being a major factor, in this day and age it is all about getting a quality product for a low price.
They made my baby sore and there was a funny odour that came from them which I did not like.
Although this may differ for other babies, I would not recommend something I was not prepared to use my self.

amz12 · 10/05/2013 11:59

Tested the size 3 on my 7 months baby.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was pretty impressed with them, they did a good job of keeping my baby dry over the night, and would therefore use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

For dryness over the night they are definitely one of the best if not the best but other brands, especially supermarket own brands are just as good during the daytime.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Compared to other brands they are expensive, so would never buy them unless on offer.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it to other parents because it does a good job.

Lilliana · 10/05/2013 12:23

My DD is 5 months and we have been testing size 3 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I liked the design, they felt nice and they seem to fit my DD well. They were thinner than I expected and don't seem to have the chemical smell that I have had when using other pampers nappies.

Yes I would use them again - I was a big fan of huggies but they are no longer and this trial has changed my mind about pampers!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

We haven't had any leaks but not tried them with a poo yet! (have been using them overnight) Her bottom does feel damp when I take it off but she is not waking up in the morning and immediately crying for a nappy change which is what she had been doing with other brands so that is great. Also she seems to settle better when she has a late night wake (ie if she woke from 5 onwards with other nappies she was difficult to settle but with the pampers baby dry she settles back quickly- I'm guessing because she is more comfortable)

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Would probably buy when on offer but as I use less pampers then own brand nappies I guess they work out about the same price per day.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - comfort, fit, dryness, lack of leaks :)

Thanks for letting me try these
