This thread is for the 1,000 MNers who've been trying out Pampers new Baby-Dry nappies with their baby/child. Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too.

We tried size 4 on my dd.

1. Overall impression - good fit, cute design. I do think they're a little 'puffier' than the Pampers Active Fit that we usually use.

1. No problems with leakage. My DD sleeps 12-14 hours a night so they were heavy in the morning but she has a dry bottom.

1. Cost - I always think Pampers are more expensive than other brands. But at one stage we tried a supermarket own brand and she got nappy rash... I don't know of it was a coincidence but I stick with Pampers just in case.

1. If it came up in conversation I see no reason not to recommend Pampers Baby- Dry.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Overall, I am very impressed. I thought Pampers were not usually very absorbent and felt damp on the outside but they weren't. So obviously, very pleased.
My previous experience of Pampers has been using the newborn sizes and not felt they were very good at all. So by the time my DC were a couple of months old (and I'd used up the ones I had bought) I had moved over to other more reliable brands.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Dryness, very good. I usually use Asda, Aldi or Tesco nappies and they were just as good. I have found no problems with leaks, but then I no longer have that problem anyway.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I do find they are more expensive than the nappies I use and they aren't superior enough for me to spend the extra money on them.
If I had a problem with the supermarket brands I would use Pampers.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, if they could afford the extra expense I would. They are far thinner when they first go on than other brands so this makes me think they must be more effective. But then thicker nappies don't seem to bother my DC.

I tried size 3 with my 4 month old. I was very impressed with them. They fit snugly and are less bulky than the own brand nappies I've tried. They also seem more flexible so I'd imagine they are more comfortable to wear. I'm pleased with their absorbency and this means less leaks. In terms of price, buying in bulk makes them comparable with own brand nappies. I would recommend these.

I am using size 4 for DD who is just 1 year old

Q1. The nappies are thinner than the Sainsburys' ones I currently use. The design is nicer on the Pampers. They hold up well overnight for 12 hours and I feel I can rely on them . However if they are a bit wet during the day then they do seem to leak when DD has a poo than the Sainsburys ones ( I am obviously changing her straight away but there can be a mess quite quickly).
Q2. They are better with dryness on her skin, but leak more.
Q3. I think they are good value for money, when they are on offer. Otherwise I would stick with my current ones in the daytime and use Pampers for night.
Q4. I would recommend them to parents, for night time as they are better for keeping babies' skin drier.

PS I bought Pampers when on holiday in the USA and they were better and had a nicer design.

I tested the size 3 on my twenty week old little girl.

1. I was very impressed with them they kept her skin nice and dry and didn't leak
   
2. They seem lighter and softer than the other brands an the fasteners were really good .
   

1. I think they are worth the money and I will be buying them in future.
   

1. My daughter still feeds in the night and his is the only brand that I have tried that doesn't leak on her clothes and her bottom was still dry.
   

1. I have raved about these to all f my friends.

I tried size 4 on my 6 month old.
I was impressed with them they kept my LO dry through the night.
I would recommened these as they do keep your little ones dry.
The only negative thing is the price, they are a lot more expensive than other nappies, even when on offer.

Q1 My first impression was they were a nice soft material with cute pictures but more importantly when I placed them on my baby they had a wonderful high back which i think makes a huge difference especially at night. Baby slept very comfortably through the whole night and even though she woke up with a full nappy she had no discomfort and was happy babbling away untill hunger took over. For these reasons I would definitely use Pampers Baby Dry again.

Q2 There is no comparision to store brand nappies in my opinon Pampers Baby dry are a much softer nappy and can comfortably hold more than other brands. I especially found with a no 2 there was no leakage and the higher back prevented any leaks onto her clothes.

Q3 Pampers baby Dry are more expensive but I find I use less of them than store brands. I do think the bigger boxes are better value and will be keeping an eye out for special offers.

Q4 I would definitely recommend these nappies for quality comfort and for enabling baby to have a full nights sleep without discomfort plus again I have to say the higher back is a huge benefit.

I thought they were absolutely brilliant!! I was a bit sceptical at first because they were so thin. My daughter's bottom was so dry (even after a 13 hour sleep)! I love them so much I think they should be called baby-bone-dry . They were a great fit and stretchy allowing plenty of movement for the little one. I don't think I will be using any other brand from now on and will be sticking with these. It's taken ages to find a good nappy like this.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I think they are the best yet! It will take a lot of persuading from other companies to make me switch back now. I had no leaks at all from poos or wees

I think that they are expensive compared to the other brands but in my honest opinion are worth every penny! It probably works out just as good because I didn't seem to have to change my baby as often.

It has come up in conversation with my friends and I have recommended these . Baby- Bone -Dry nappies just impressed me so much

I tried size 4 on my 14 month old.

Q1. I love the soft feel of Pampers, and they are very slim. Also easy to put on a wriggly baby. Will definitely be using them again. The only thing I don't like about them is the chemically smell - it does make me worry a bit about how safe they are for a baby's skin.

Q2. I think they are the best nappies for absorbancy and fit = no leaks. They compare favourably to cheaper supermarket brands.

Q3. Although expensive, I do feel they are worth the extra money as I'm likely to use one less a day as they less prone to leaks. Although sometimes I will save Pampers for the night time nappy and use cheaper supermarket nappies during the day.

Q4. I would recommend them as the most reliable/comfortable disposable nappy.

They look good and they are not too thick, they take in a lot of wee during the night and didnt leak at all, daughters skin wasnt red or sore. They are not too bulky under the clothes either. Yes i would use them again

I have used other well known brands before and supermarket brands and they both leaked pampers are the only ones that didnt leak.

I dont think they are any more expensive than others and are always on offer in supermarkets. And they a worth it as they dont leak

Yes i would always recommend pampers as i feel they are the best nappies. The baby dry are good for my daughter as she doesnt move around but not sure what they are like for babies who are always on the move.

The nappies are reliable at protecting from leaks but still feel soft - i wouldn't want to use a plasticky feeling nappy on a small baby. I would definitely use them again as they seem better quality and there are less leaks than other brands.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Really good, they very rarely leak overnight which is a massive plus.

They are good value for money, as others have said, they cost more but you use less and they are more reliable.

Yes I would as they really help to limit the number of daytime outfit changes and night time wake ups. As a mum of a toddler and small baby this is invaluable!

I used size 3 on my 4 month old 14lb DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very slim compared to other brands that I've tried and much more flexible. The design was cute and the tabs gripped well. The nappies kept my baby dry for 12 hours and did not leak. When I changed the first nappy of the morning his skin was becoming slightly damp but it had been on 12 hours by then. I found Pampers provided very good protection against leaks, offered long-term dryness and minimised the smell of urine given the amount contained.
I would definitely use Pampers again and would not use any other brand at night.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I found Pampers to be the best nappies I have used in terms of dryness and leakage protection. I have experienced urine and poo leaks with ASDA and Aldi and poo leaks with Huggies but neither with Pampers. Although I have used other nappies in the day previously I have found that I ended up having to change his clothes much more often due to leaks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Although Pampers are more expensive than the alternative brands I do think that they offer good value for money. They provide my baby with a full nights dryness and mean that I do not need to disturb him by changing him in the night and reduce the amount of washing I need to do through leaking onto clothes.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend Pampers to others. I think that they help my baby to sleep longer at night and prevent his skin from becoming irritated by keeping the urine away from his skin for longer than other brands I have tried.

I tested since 4 for my 10 month old boy.

1. Overall impression was great. They fit him very well. Other brands struggle to get round his, rather large, belly. No leaks overnight. I would use them again but only for nighttime due to price. Other cheaper nappies do the job during the day but not at night.
   
2. Really good. They are the only ones I trust not to leak at night.
   
3. They are expensive but im happy to pay for nighttime use only. I wouldnt buy them alone as cheaper brands are good enough for daytime.
   
4. I would recommend them.

Slim design, keep dd dry for full 12hrs at night

Ive used pampers for 9 yrs through my dcs, out of every brand I have ever used it is by far the most absorbent

Yes I definitely think of buying pampers as buying a superior nappy which performs well rather than a marginally cheaper brand which i have to change 2-3times as much, that?s a false economy and costs me more in the long run

Yes, I would recommend them, never had problems with them in the 9+yrs ive used them, only ever time i did there was one pack the tabs kept falling off, rang pampers, the customer service was very good and i was sent some vouchers to compensate

They do 12 hours at night with no leaks so very pleased with them in that respect.

I don't remember any other disposable nappy leaking but they do seem to hold a lot of wee. They sometimes smell a bit in the morning.

I haven't done all the sums but i expect they are more expensive than bulk buying a cheaper brand.

Yes I would although I mainly use cloth nappies in the day

I tried these nappies in size 4 on DS aged 7 months.

Q1 Overall impression is positive - these are slim and absorbent, they did not leak, I had terrible trouble with Huggies leaking and I had to change my sons wet clothes all the time so I had switched to Asda's Little Angels which I am very happy with.

These are great, meant I didn't have a soaking wet baby and sleeping bag in the morning, no need to change his nappy during the night unless it had been soiled.

These are more expensive than supermarket own brand so I would buy these when they are on special offer.

My overall impression was that the Baby Dry nappies were really good, no leakage, used throughout the day and night, stretchy fastenings on the side allow to make tighter or looser on your baby. Nice design.

Q2
I've tried another supermarket brand and these leaked when my baby wore them, also I found they didn't hold as much wee as the Baby Dry. I like the Baby Dry nappies as they have much more stretchiness than other nappies.

Q3
I think the Mega-Box and Giga-Box are value for money, but the carry packs seem costly and not appealing

I would definitely recommend Pampers Baby Dry to other mums as a good quality nappy available on the market.

Tried size 4 on DD (16 months)

1. Pampers are my preferred brand, DD has expensive tastes and is prone to a rashy bum, and pampers seem to keep it at bay quite nicely.
   
   
2. No problems with leakage, DD continues to sleep well through the night with them, and they seem to be resisting her attempts to pull them down like big girl pants.
   
   
3. Although on paper, they do appear more expensive than other brands, I think they are more economical in the long run. I also try and buy the big boxes when they are on offer in the supermarket baby events which keeps the cost down. Plus DD gets the boxes to play with.
   
   
4. I'm definitely a pampers mum, everyone gets to hear about how happy we are with them!

I thought they were very lightweight, strong and easy to put on the baby

Well they didn't leak which was a surprise because last time I used them they did leak at night, so I'm a bit flummoxed to tell you the truth! I do definitely prefer the feel of them to supermarket own brand ones because they are less bulky out of the packet.

Q3
More expensive, but I think if you shop around you can probably get them for about the same price as own brand ones and to be honest, if they are the best for the job a small price difference wouldn't put me off.

I just don't know! I think I need to use them a bit longer (a month or so) because my results with them have been so mixed prior to this trial.

I was impressed with the nappies - no leaks of wee or poo, and dry-feeling skin when the nappy was removed in the morning. I would use them again, in particular if they were on offer (but I tend to buy nappies during baby events etc anyway and stock up - can always exchange unopened packs for a larger sized nappy later if necessary). No noticeable nappy rash.

The Pampers nappies were better than other nappies that I have tried. I would now continue to use Pampers at night now (unless of course my son changes size/shape and the fit isn't so good) because other brands that I habitually buy aren't as reliable.

Pampers are more expensive than other brands and I do try to buy the cheapest nappies that we are comfortable with - but with fewer leaks I think it's worth paying a bit extra for them - and as mentioned earlier I buy them when they are on offer.

I would absolutely recommend the nappies to other parents. They might not work for everyone but I think they are definitely worth trying.

I tested the size 4 pampers nappies on my 4 month old son. I am extremely pleased with the results. I originally used Huggies as they are cheaper etc.

Pampers are more flexible and do not leak. They also fit much better as I have a big boy and any other brand I have tried in this size just don't deem as good quality.

There are cheaper alternatives but in the long run, better quality and last longer.
