I tried size 3. My boy is a skinny 6 month old who weighs 6kg and is below the 2nd percentile for weight.

The nappies were OK, but we had a few leaks at the leg (both wee and poo) and one up the back (poo). My boys legs seem too skinny for these, and from trial and error I've found that Pampers simply dry are a better fit to give us 12 hours dryness at night.
So I ended up using the Baby dry nappies in the day for shorter periods. Overall we had about six leaks from the trial pack, which is more than we'd usually get.

Baby dry nappies are expensive in my opinion.

I personally wouldn't recommend them but I know other mums at baby group who swear by them.

I normally use Huggies, or Aldi own brand in the day, and Pampers simply dry at night (for 12 hours). Based on this trial, I won't be switching.

Nigglenaggle · 19/05/2013 20:40

Unfortunately since my last feedback we have had 2 leaks in the baby dry, one wee, one poo. Have switched back to using active fit in the day - which guess is what they are designed for. DC is just getting really mobile and guess we might expect more leaks. Still impressed with pampers overall though and still my favourite disposable. And he still doesnt have nappy rash.

monstergoose · 20/05/2013 08:53

Tried size 3 in my 12wk dd who is slim and long. First impressions were they were soft inside and slim fitting .
No wee leaks overnight but can't comment on poo leaks as dry on that department overnight!
Expensive compared to other brands, we usually use tesco which also seem to keep her dry so not sure I'll be switching as they are a long dearer

Tartanbaby · 20/05/2013 09:09

I tried size 4 on my 16 week baby boy (he's a chunky monkey lol)
Q1 - overall I found the nappies soft, stretchy and very comfy for my baby, I love how they have that extra stretch on the sides compared to others. Kept him dry all night and no leaks.
Q2 - I used asda own brand nappies and they leaked every night, pampers baby dry are amazing compared to them! Don't know why I changed to be honest, you pay the extra for the piece of mind that your baby will be dry and won't get a rash. Only thing i found is that my baby likes to roll on his side at night and if his nappy is very full it will leak slightly...maybe they could do something to remedy this?
Q3- I would always buy them but are good value when on offer but are expensive when they're not compared to others.
Q4-I would definitely recommend them to others.

PeteHornberger · 20/05/2013 10:49

I used these on my 20 month old DD and we used a size 4.

Q1: I liked the nappies, they are nice and slim fitting, with cute designs on them and I find they work well. I would use them again. We use them at night and I think they are the best at keeping her dry for longer. By morning her skin still feels slightly damp, but not enough to bother her and not as damp as she was when we used other nappies.

Q2: They compared well against other nappies for dryness - when we used other nappies overnight we found her skin was slightly red in the morning, which we didn't have with pampers, so I think they keep her dryer for longer. They didn't seem any better than other nappies for leakage - when they did leak, it was from the legs.

Q3: the baby dry nappies are more expensive than other brands, by quite a margin - however, I tend to only use them at night, so only 1 a day and we buy them in bulk when they're on offer. I find other brands are fine for daytime use, when I can change DD more often. So they are good value for long-term, 12 hour use.

Q4: I have recommended these nappies before and it seems other people I've discussed it with do the same as I do - use them for night-time only and use other, cheaper brands during the day.

Kittycatcat · 20/05/2013 13:07

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I like the patterns :). They seem thicker than pampers active. I wouldnt use them again. They feel less absorbant than pampers active which i will continue to use.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
I had a leaky nappy, number 2, but i am not sure if it was because DS2 is teething. I prefer the absorbancy of active.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They dont seem much cheaper than active but i much prefer active.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, i would reccomend pampers active

BestLaidPlans · 20/05/2013 13:58

I tested size 3s with 11 week old DD. I'd definitely use them again overnight, great absorbency although quite an obvious chemical smell.

We have had some leaks, poo rather than wee, but to be fair I think she has particularly explosive poos that no nappy we've tried yet can contain. She rarely felt wet after a change, even when the nappy had been on a while.

The nappies are more expensive than other brands, but we have used fewer than we would normally, which coupled with the fact they are often on offer makes it quite a competitive price. I'd definitely recommend to others.

MrsMigginslovespies · 20/05/2013 14:03

I've been using Size 4 on my chunky but gorgeous almost 9 month old boy.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd certainly use these again and already took advantage of the offer on recently in the supermarket. They are the only ones that fit him properly and that look comfy. He's on the chubbier side, so the stretchy sides are great for adjusting.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

We had no leaks at all, which can't be said for others I've used. He seems dry and happy in them, even in the morning after a long time since the last change the night before. I change him regardless every three to four hours (unless dirty obviously) and he's always dry. He's never had nappy rash, which I put down to good nappies, and good barrier cream.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Pretty good considering they are excellent nappies and I feel you do pay for what you get. There are some things I'd pay less for, but not others, and nappies are one thing that's important to get right for LO. And they're often on offer...! But I've never seen a Giga Box in the shops before.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd certainly recommend these over other brands. For us, they have been the most comfortable, the best at protecting against leaks and I like the fit which seems secure. I even quite like the little animals on them too! Well done Pampers :)

CoolaSchmoola · 20/05/2013 15:52

My DD has been in Pampers 4+ (ActiveFit) for the past five months. The pack I received to test was size 4. I am certain that I ordered 4+ as I buy them every month and it's not something you tend to make a mistake with!

Even though I used them and they seemed to fit, they actually leaked overnight, which was the precise reason I had moved her up to a 4+ previously. I did buy a pack of BabyDry so that I could review them properly so my answers are based on that.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I found them to be excellent, and once she was in the correct size they did keep her dry for 12 hours. They looked very neat under her clothes where some other brands look bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They are better than ActiveFit and I also recently tried the Aldi nappies that people seem to rave about. These outstrip them by far for fit, feel, dryness and leakage protection.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I only buy nappies when they are on special offer. Although they are very good part of me does wonder why they cost more than other nappies. It doesn't stop me buying them though because they are the best I've found.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, and I have!

CoolaSchmoola · 20/05/2013 15:55

MrsMiggins I order Gigaboxes from Amazon or Boots when on offer.

CoolaSchmoola · 20/05/2013 16:00

I'm officially an idiot - I definitely requested a 4, not a 4+ (the sizes I gave above relate to Huggies - oops! Blush.

NotSoNervous · 20/05/2013 16:07

Q1) my overall impression was there great. We've not had any leaks and they hold a whole nights worth of wee well. If they have a full nappy they can get quite smelly though.

Q2) there the best nappies I've used against leaks and dry ess.

Q3) I don't think there that great value for money. You can get some good offers though. Asda are doing a box of 124 for £12, I always buy nappies when there on offer.

Q4) yes I would recommend for all the reasons above.

Sammi3432 · 20/05/2013 17:57

I tested Size 3 nappies on my 10 month old daughter.

Q1. First impressions were, nice slim nappy, pretty design, well fitting on a highly active baby, really absorbent and easily kept my baby comfortable for 12 hours at night. I would use them again.

Q2. These are our most trusted nappies for night time use because they are so absorbent. My baby rarely wakes up once she's in bed for the night, so most nights she will sleep 12 hours in the same nappy. These are definitely the best nappies I have used, however a few own brands do come a close second.

Q3. In general I will only buy Pampers if they are on Special Offer because they are so much more expensive than some of the better own brands. We will only use Pampers at night time to cut down costs. Through a long, messy trial & error process I have found some really good own brands that I would also recommend highly (and they're cheaper!)

Q4. I certainly would recommend Pampers, however, as mentioned above there are cheaper own brand nappies that I would also recommend.

coranglais · 20/05/2013 18:24

I tested size 4 nappies on my 4 month old daughter.

Q1) I liked these nappies, they worked well as an overnight nappy, and although they felt heavy like other nappies after several hours my daughter's skin felt a lot drier. I'd use them again, but only if I'd bought them on a special offer as they're quite expensive.

Q2) I found them better than Huggies in terms of dryness, and didn't have any leaks with them.

Q3) I don't think that these are very good value for money as there are other brands that could also be used for the same period of time at night, which does seem to be the main selling point of these nappies.

Q4) I probably would recommend these nappies to other people, but would be much more likely to mention it if I knew that there was a special offer on them somewhere.

scared29 · 20/05/2013 19:01

1 - I love these nappies, easy to put on and the tabs stay really sticky all day long. Greay at night and have just bought some of the size 5 ones as they were on offer in asda at 180 nappies for £20

2 - Best ones we have used, found that huggies leaked badly, the aldi ones were wet after 15 mins and boots own brand bought him out in a rash

3 - we are very cost conscious as a family so would not pay these prices but we have found them alot cheaper, around 10p a nappy if you buy in bulk which we do

4 - yes, we were sent size 3 in error and passed these onto a friend who was pleased with them

We tried out the size 4 on our 15 month old son who weighs 24 lbs

fogost · 20/05/2013 19:55

I tried size 4 on my 1 year old son.

Q1. Overall impression - Great during the day but found I still had to put 2 nappies on my son at night as he sleeps just over 12 hours and does leak. Saying that though, I do this for any nappy brand.

Q2. How did they compare - same really for having to double up at night, although they feel more compact and better quality.

Q3. Think they do cost more than others, but I find you get what you pay for.

Q4. I would recommend these.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I really liked the pampers baby-dry nappies. We have been using them since my son was big enough for the size 3s and have never been disappointed. We have never had a night-leak from these nappies and now that my son has started sleeping through I am confident that they will keep him dry all night. The nappies themselves are quite thin so comfortable to wear as not bulky like some nappies, but this doesn?t compromise the protection they offer. The nappies are colourful with fun pictures on, and the size is clearly displayed. There is a slight chemical smell but this is no different from any other nappies we?ve tried.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
During the day I tend to use supermarket-brand nappies as they cost less and we can get through a few. I much prefer pampers as my son?s skin usually feels dry when I change him, but the own-brand nappies don?t always keep him dry and can lead to nappy rash.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think for the protection and comfort baby-dry offer they are good value, but not competitively priced. I always try to stock up when I find them on offer. As I said above I tend to use own-brand during the day (especially when at home) and baby-dry at night. I also use baby-dry if we are going on a car journey or out and about for the day for peace of mind that my son will stay dry and comfortable.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have had the nappy conversation with several mummy-friends and pampers baby-dry are usually highly rated. I do recommend using baby-dry nappies as I feel they contribute to both my son?s and my own quality of sleep, they keep him dry and free of nappy rash, and are comfortable for him to wear even when wet.

ScardyNinja · 20/05/2013 20:38

I tried babysit nappies on my dd aged 18 months

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Brilliant, dry, not bulky, soft everything you would want from a nappy
Will use them again as they didn't leak, therefore you use less in the long run
Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection? Hold their own against the competition not had any issues with leaks/dryness unlike other brands and supermarket alternatives

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are more expensive but they stay dry, keep baby dry so lot less irritation on baby's skin so worth every penny.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?yes totally recommend them, it's all I will put my children in!

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Good nappies but as ever with pampers have a not very pleasant scent when just out of packet or wet!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

The most absorbent that I've used.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Although they are dearer, they are more effective. What you lose on the price of the nappy you provably save on washing!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend them! With pampers you get reliability. Some other cheaper brands have tapes that pull off! Not very handy when out & about! Can't beat pampers quality!

Pkas · 21/05/2013 00:02

Tried size 4 for my 11 month old daughter. I found the nappies to be quite comfortable keeping the baby dry.Would definitely recommend to friends and use them again.

They are very soft and not very noisy as many other nappies in the market.Although sometimes i feel huggies can hold more wetness comparatively. Leekage protection is allright

Price wise , i think they are tad bit expensive. Although i try to buy it in baby events etc, but i wish sometimes I should be able to buy it without any offers.

I would definitely recommend these to my friends for their babies as these nappies are quite good

leelteloo · 21/05/2013 06:10

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I really liked the nappys, nice and thin for the change bag. I was trying size 4 on my 8 month old and I think really he needed a bigger size. He weighs 25 lbs and the nappys say up to 40lbs but they seemed small on him. If I was going to buy pampers I would by 4+.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
For urine these nappys are better than any others I have tried apart from pampers active fit. My son stayed dry even with a very heavy nappy. We had several leaks of poo up the back. I think this is because nappy was stretched around him and not a great fit. I don't think it would have happened if he was in a bigger size.
Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
It is worth spending the money on good nappys. I have tried own brands and huggies and I spent more time changing nappys and clothes because they were inferior and leaked more. Is worth it also because nappy rash is horrid and pampers keep my baby's skin dry. I really hate having to change whole outfit if the nappy leaks.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Always, because they are better than other nappys at keeping baby dry which makes life easier and is better for baby's skin.

lunar1 · 21/05/2013 10:30

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall I liked the baby dry nappies. I only normally use pampers active fit and wont switch brands. I prefer the active fit as the baby dry have a very strong chemical smell by morning which the active fit dont have.

I would use them again as there were no leaks. DS2's skin was fresh and dry in the mornings and he hasnt had any marks or sore areas on his skin.

I ordered the size 4 as ds2 is 22 months, i do find they are quite big on him compared to the way the size 4 active fit fasten, the 3 would probably been big enough.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I havent used any other brands in over 4 years so i can only compare to pampers active fit. the dryness and absorbency is as good with both and i never have any leaks. even if the nappy is very full overnight ds2 is dry in the morning with no rash on his skin.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I am happy to pay for pampers prices, they are more costly but i never have to do extra washing for leaks or buy creams for nappy rash so in reality the price is probably not much different to a cheaper brand. Plus I bulk buy when I find them on a good special offer!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes, in fact i passed on 5 to a friend who has a son in nappies. she had been getting up in the night, every night to do a nappy change otherwise she was having to change clothes and bedding at 4 am. needless to say she is converted and is now getting a full nights sleep!

The only thing id add is that i prefer the look of the active fit nappies, im not too keen on all the green on the baby dry.

catscherrygirl23 · 21/05/2013 13:11

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I am brand loyal to pampers so to be honest didnt expect much improvement when trying them out but was pleasantly surprised. they are really lightweight and slim so easy to have a few in the change bag and so far none of the fasteners have ripped off with a bit of a forceful tug. I would definitely use them again for this reason and because there have been no leakages.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
they are the best I have tried and I am a bit gutted they have only just come out as my baby is weaning so not producing explosive EBF poos anymore! they have easily contained his new solid presents and there have been no leaks, even with night-time nappies, and no nappy rash.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
yes although they are not the cheapest brand out there I think you get what you pay for and I prefer to pay a bit extra for a quality product especially where bodily functions are involved!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes definitely - I would already recommend pampers for reliability and quality and these are the best I have tried due to them being lightweight but very absorbent.

catscherrygirl23 · 21/05/2013 13:12

sorry just to add to above my baby is 6 months old, big for his age so e tried size 4.

ardenbird · 21/05/2013 13:13

I tried them on my 13mo DD, size 3.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

In general I like them. I had been using them before, and I ordered size 3 -- but they seem larger than they used to. I wonder if some change has occurred? The newest pack I got from the supermarket was also larger than I recall, and it also had this extra sleep layer, which the ones I used before didn't. Fine with me, as I thought we were about to need size 4, so I am happy to keep using the smaller size.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I think they're better than other brands I've used before. They seem to hold quite a lot. Only one night did we have a leakage incident, and that was probably because I didn't fasten everything as well as I should have. I did have some trouble with the little extra side elsastic-things (I hope that makes sense) that I have now taken the habit of making sure they are flipped towards the outside. We might have had the leakage when they folded over into the middle, so things weren't directed properly into the nappy.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I buy them on sale, but do think they are worth the price. Other nappies have given DD rashes but never Pampers, so for DD's comfort I think it is worth it.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because I think they quite good for overnight and they are kind to sensitive skin.
