My little boy is 6 months old and we were testing size 4 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? I liked them very much and would 100% use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection? They did what they said and were good for dryness and were brilliant for not leaking.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? Even though i think the nappies are brilliant, I do think they are very expensive. The price should be lowered.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would recommend them just because they don't leak and are very good but I would warn them that they are expensive.

cooper44 · 13/05/2013 15:47

I tried Size 4 nappies on my 7 month old....

Q1 I think they are really good. I would use them again - they don't leak at all despite my baby's extremely long night's sleep from 6.30 til 8am ish.

Q2 I've always thought Pampers were the best and had never really questioned that or changed brands but did recently experiment with a cheaper Supermarket brand and I now think I prefer theirs - they are just as absorbent but they feel a bit nicer than the Baby Dry which I feel now is a little bit crinkly/plasticky feeling.

Q3 I think Pampers are pretty much the most expensive aren't they? i always bulk buy when they are on offer though and then they work out quite competitively I think.

Q4 Yes I would but would also recommend my supermarket discovery too Smile

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They were soft. I'm not sure what has changed from the last ones -- if anything has. I've used Baby-Dry in the past with usually great results. These ones, I'm not sure I'd recommended (see Q2)

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

My little one didn't get the best protection. The first two nights, she leaked everywhere. She's 10 months and wearing the size 4 just like she does with other brands and had them on for 11 hours but was soaked up her back. During the day though, when they've been on for less time, they've been great. If I was looking for an emergency pack of nappies then these would be okay but I'd have to wake madam up in the middle of the night to change her.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Too expensive when compared to my favourite brand -- Asda's Little Angels. Since I usually get the baby stuff from Asda, I wouldn't buy the Pampers when the Little Angels ones are better and cheaper.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

It did come up as a conversation last week, incidentally, and I didn't recommend them. Unsurprisingly, the mum I was talking to didn't either because of the same problem. If they really lasted for the 12 hours (or the 11 that my little one sleeps through) then I'd be happy to recommend them since that is the only but major problem.

BananasAndClottedCream · 13/05/2013 17:12

I tried size 3 on my 3 month old DS.

Q1 I found them to be lovely and soft. They were thin in comparison to my normal brand and had a nice pattern to them.
Very absorbant though we never made it to 12 hours before he needed a change. The nappy never felt wet, just full! Overall happy to use again.

Q2 Did well with leaks, only had a few and that was when nappy was pretty wet to start with and only around the leg cuffs. Previous brand sometimes felt damp and having now gone back to it (using up what's left) the first nappy leaked a lot when it had only just gone on.

Q3 Without seeing the amount you get in each box but based on what I remember they don't seem overly expensive as I don't seem to use quite as many. I do try to buy nappies and wipes when they are on offer to try to lessen the cost a little bit.

Q5 Yes I would recommend them.

hazelsfan · 13/05/2013 18:33

I normally use Pampers Active fit but I have to say that Pampers Baby Dry are just as good, you get more nappies for your money too.

JCDeek · 13/05/2013 19:06

Q1 Usual reliability of the brand - used them before & would def be my brand of choice...worth the little extra in my opinion.

Q2 I've only ever used Pampers Simply Dry other than Baby Dry. the Baby Dry are superior and hold the wee much better!! The only time I've had leakage issues is when DS is ready for the next size up nappy!

Q3 I tend to buy the boxes when they are on offer at Boots (Advantage Points) or Tesco (Clubcard Points) as my budget is quite strict. I really don't think the small packs are good value, but if I'm desperate then I will buy them rather than a different brand.

Q4 I would but I also think that parents need to try other brands, especially trying reusable - in an ideal world where I had one child, didn't work, didn't live in a wet county (!) or had money for masses of tumble dryer usage I would go with reusable.

On the whole the most reliable nappy I've ever tried, but then I've not tried loads, just landed on Pampers & stuck with them...3 children later still my choice.

Sammy0612 · 13/05/2013 19:11

I tried pampers baby dry size 3 nappies on my 5 month old daughter.
I found pampers baby dry soft and thinner than other nappies allowing move movement compared to other brands. Not once while using them did my baby have a leaky nappy, they kept her dry over night and never had to change her cos she was wet during the night. Not too fussed on the price I tend to go for cheaper brands cos of the price nad yes I would recommend them to other parents.

babyotter · 13/05/2013 19:33

My little boy is 10 months old and uses a size 4 nappy.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have used Pampers on my little boy since day zero and have not had any reason to change. I especially appreciated them after trying a sample of a different brand, which leaked and left me with a soggy newborn. My limited experience of other nappies probably makes me a poor reviewer as I cannot compare how they are work overnight on a 10-month-old. I know other cheaper nappies get very positive feedback, but for 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' prevails and the Pampers are here to stay in this household.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
I've not tried any other brands of nappy since my DS was a week old (he is not 10 months) so I can't compare. I've never noticed any leakage overnight (unless the positioning was somehow ski-whiff), even with some very heavy nappies (12 hours+). The absorbency is quite impressive.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? Without trying the cheaper ones, I cannot be sure. They are good value for money for overnight use and piece of mind.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
It has come up in conversation, and although I would recommend them, I am generally left feeling that I should check out a cheaper brand. I've never made the change, as so long as I buy Pampers when they are on offer, they difference is not enough for me to make the effort.

billybear · 13/05/2013 19:41

overall impression great soft good fit.i would use them again.great no leaking, nice dry bum that's what counts,i always say you get what you pay for,but in this casera bargain quality product,at great price used less than own brand nappies so good deal.i would recpmmend pampers baby dry nappies, thank you for letting me try them .

JimbosJetSet · 13/05/2013 19:41

I tried size 4s with my 7 month old.

Overall I was impressed, didn't feel as plasticky as other nappies, and generally looked and felt superior quality to other brands.

Certainly they are the most effective nappies I have found at preventing leaks - for the first time, I didn't have to change his nappy in the middle of the night to prevent his clothes becoming wet.

They are expensive, but I think you get what you pay for. I will definitely continue using these at night but I can't see a good enough reason to use them over cheaper nappies during the day.

I would recommend them to a fellow parent if they were having problems with nappies leaking in the night, otherwise I have to say I usually recommend new parents try out different own brands to see what works for them, instead of going straight for the big brands.

cahill · 13/05/2013 20:24

Baby is 8mths and I used size 4
Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Have always used baby dry at night time, but recently they started to leak. This new pack didn't leak urine, but it was unable to contain poo from a teething baby on antibiotics, but I'm not sure which nappy could. Didn't think they were upto the job as they are thinner than previous ones, but, they were.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Better at leakage prevention than other brands overnight.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
More expensive than own label, only worth it for overnight usage and possibly long journeys!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, and have, recommended Pampers Baby-Dry, but as I said before, only for night time use, too pricey for day time and multiple changes.

mummymccar · 13/05/2013 20:52

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I really liked them, they kept my little girl dry and didn't seem to have a strong chemical smell that you do with other brands.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
We've been using them day and night and she has been dry all the time. Other nappies recently haven't worked as well, but these kept her dry.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Definitely so.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, they're definitely the best on the market.

mummymccar · 13/05/2013 20:53

PS I tried Size 4 on my 14month old

NornIrishNut · 13/05/2013 20:59

I tested the Size 4 nappies on my 14 month old daughter.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Overall, I was very impressed with the nappies during the night. My daughter sleeps for approx. 13 hours each night and although they are well filled, her skin was still dry with no leaks. I normally use an own-brand dry nappy and instantly you can feel the difference in the softness of Pampers. They also seem thinner, I can pack more in the change bag. One thing i was looking at was the fit, they seem to fit snuggly on my daughter - the pampers newborn leaked every time in the early days due to the fit, which meant i hadnt gone back. I would definitely buy them again, but I'm not sure, despite the positives whether I would make a complete switch. Own-brand nappies do work just as well, I don't seem to have leaks with those either and the cost difference does play a part.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
As above, based on the brands I have used, Pampers are living up to expectations and do as well.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are a worthwhile purchase, but they are still a good £1.49 more than an own-brand version that does the same job. Unfortunately, they are not so much better that the extra cost would sway me often. The price would be better if on offer at 10p per nappy.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend, as they do what they say - keep baby dry for 12 hours and are leak free. But like anything, one size/shape does not fit all.

Judyandherdreamofhorses · 13/05/2013 21:04

I've reviewed earlier. Just bought 2 jumbo packs. I've never bought this many nappies in one go before. Must be converted!

baddyfreckleface · 13/05/2013 21:13

I used size 4 for my 14month old

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They seem to fit really well, aren't as bulky as most nappies and are really thin and soft. Dd seems comfy in them. I will keep on using them because they have always lasted her through the night (never changed her at night if nappy just wet) and she has never had nappy rash.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Have always found these nappies to be the best. Have tried cheaper brands but ended up changing her more often due to her bottom being wet. Also others seem stiffer and so not as comfy. I have been using size 5 for the last few weeks but ended up with a few urine leaks at night. I haven't had that problem with these so its either a better design or Dd actually fits a size 4 better.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think maybe cheaper brands are a false economy as the ones I have tried haven't lasted as long as Pampers Baby Dry. I am happy to keep Dd in these for longer and this makes nights, journeys and trips out so much easier as she HATES being changed when out of the house.

I usually wait for them to come up on offer at the supermarket and buy a few packs. Can save quite a bit doing that.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definatelyrecommend them.

Hannah1203 · 13/05/2013 21:16

I tried the size 4 nappies for my 10month old son

Q1
I found that the Pampers Baby-Dry nappies were quite a bit better then other brands and would definitely use them again. They were a lot softer then other brands making them more comfortable and flexible, especially as my son is now crawling and likes to move around a lot during the night.

Q2
Compared to store own brands they didn't leak through the front after being worn for quite some time, i.e. through the night.
I have to agree with some of the other comments on here whereby my son had done a few big nappy filling poos which creep out of the back!

Q3
I think they are reseaonably priced, however they could try to be a bit more competitive with other brands.

Q4
I would recommend them to other parents due to the above factors that I've mentioned. However I would probably add that there are other brands that are almsot as good for day use at a cheaper price. The Pampers Baby-Dry maybe more suited to night time use, especially if you're trying to get your child to sleep through the night, due to how well they absorb liquids.

harderthanitlooks · 13/05/2013 21:44

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I liked using the pampers baby-dry nappies they have so far kept my little one dry over night. Sometimes her nappy is huge in the morning she has no irritation or discimfort.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

So far no leaks and no need to change her nappy throughout the night.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

For the comfort factor they are worth the money i would but them when on offer it will be worth stocking up.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend pampers baby-dry nappies as they seem to stop any irritation and the need to change the nappy throughout the night. Thats worth a little extra money in my book!

lemonsmum · 13/05/2013 21:58

My daughter is 12 months and we tried size 4.

Q1

I was happy with Pampers Baby Dry they fitted my daughter well. She gets a rash sometimes with other brands but no rash with pampers. I would use them again as we had no problems with the nappies. My daughter also liked the animals on them.

Q2

We had no leaks with the pack we used, they kept her dry through the night. Other brands look like they may burst in the morning as she still feeds in the night but we didn't have that problem with pampers.

Q3

Pampers baby dry are expensive compared to other brands and with being on a budget we cant afford the full price. However if they are on offer we would defiantly choose them over other brands.

Q4

Yes I would recommend Pampers baby dry as they seem to be the best brand for quality and dryness.

mendandmakedo · 13/05/2013 22:35

Pampers are great. Fit very snuggly and compact nappys although my dd is nearly 3 now so expect a size four to be snug. The nappys keep moisture away from her skin even when the nappy was saturated it didn't leak, impressive. I would definitely buy if on offer and value for money. However at full price I would always go for supermarket equivalent due to cost.

mendandmakedo · 13/05/2013 22:39

I Would recommend to friend based on quality of product.

jomo15 · 13/05/2013 22:45

My Baby is 4 mths old and i tried size 3

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They are good for night times i find other brands do leak but i cant stand the chemical smell and the fact they look like there full when baby has only done 1 wee!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Cant fault them for dryness and protection

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are expensive compared to other brands i have tried cheaper brands that keep baby dry just as well and dont have the chemical smell either so they are not my top favourite, plus several of them the tabs come off - wasted nappy! thats annoying

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would for boys for dryness but there not the best i have tried and are the most expensive so i would recommend other brands over this due to issues detailed above.

hamisha · 14/05/2013 00:11

We tested the baby dry in a size 4. This was the right size for my 8 month old daughter. They were definitely the best of he nappy brands we had tried and are more than likely to become the nappy brand/ style of choice going forward. The fit was very good as was the overall absorbency. Whilst price wise they are at the top end of the range v other brands they were certainly worth that extra few pence per nappy and most importantly my baby seemed to be comfortable in them.

Lilipution76 · 14/05/2013 06:21

I have tried Pampers Baby Dry size 4 on my 20 month old daughter.

Q1: I was very impressed with them, they kept my DD dry for over 12h! I will definitely use them again.

Q2: They hold everything in very well, I can't fault them at all. Plus, they are very soft on my baby's skin.

Q3: They are on the expensive side, but I will buy them for peace of mind.

Q4: Yes, I would definitely recommend them (and already have!) to other mums.

phantomhairpuller · 14/05/2013 06:25

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall impression was good. Nappies have a simple design to them and are not at all 'bulky' as some nappies can be.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very good, kept DS dry throughout the night (and he drinks a lot before bed so he needs the protection!)

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I don't think pampers nappies are particularly good value for money and I never have. They are still my favoured brand though.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes. They do exactly as they say on the packaging!!
