I tested the size 4 nappies on my 21 month old DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked them. Much softer, more comfortable feel and fit compared with the supermarket own brand nappies I usually buy. I would definitely buy again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They hold a lot more than other brands and the inside of the nappy stays really dry to touch.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I do think they are good value having tested them. I've been put off by the price in the past but as I'm so impressed - and they are often on offer - I think they represent good value for money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend as I have liked using them and have found them to be very effective.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them again Yes. It's the only thing that helps during the night for long periods of time. I tend to still change my 6 months old after 6-8 hours as he tends to moan but there have been a few nights where I have not needed to and he has stayed dry.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

These are a lot better keeping him dry. Others have leaked within a few hours

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I like the mega packs as you get alot for your money. I still think they could be a little cheaper during these tough times.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have recommended them and will do again as they are the most comfy and leak proof nappy so far

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very good so would definitely use them again. They fit my son well around the waist and legs and aren't too bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Again very good. My son was in this nappy for 12hours or so and didn't leak at all and also there was no soreness apparent which sometimes happens with other brands.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are more costly however I tend to buy my nappies in bulk when they are on offer. I don't think I would pay full price for them though.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would as my son seems happy in them and as stated above I haven't experienced any leakage whatsoever.

preggersbycheggers · 13/05/2013 07:42

I tested size 4 on my 23 month old son.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 13/05/2013 08:42

My son is 13 weeks old and I was trying size 3 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I've been pleasantly surprised. I had tried Pampers size 2 nappies with my son and had lots of leaks. I therefore switched to Tesco nappies (also from a cost perspective). But these nappies are lasting the distance all night which is great! They also feel very soft and padded so I get the impression they are comfy for him!

I would use them again for sure for night times as the supermarket ones are now not cutting it.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

These are definitely better at this stage of his life for dryness. They are soaking up a LOT of liquid. Having said that, there have been a couple of leaks in the daytime, but I wonder sometimes if that is partly down to how well they are being put on him by his parents!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I'm not sure how many nappies come in the packs mentioned below. They are more expensive so it's difficult to say they are 'value for money'. I assume you get a better price per unit for a larger pack, however being a new mum, I'm unsure how long he'll even be in this size, and therefore whether it makes sense to buy a massive pack when I will mostly be using Pampers for night time. The supermarket brands are still a lot cheaper and will make my overall cost cheaper if I use them in the day (and police any leaks).

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend these to my friends, due to the fact that we are getting through the night with no nappy changes. This may also be down to the fact that my son's bodily functions are calming down of course, but I don't feel overly worried during the night that he's uncomfortable now.

Rikalaily · 13/05/2013 09:05

I used size 4 on my 2 year old (she's small, lol).

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really like them, nice and soft, not plastic at all and no weird smell when she has a wee. I will be using them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I used to use Tesco own brand which are hard to beat, but I think Pampers have improved a lot and now prefer these. We have had no leaks and her skin is pretty dry when we remove the nappy. We've had a few runny tums and no leakage then either.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are great value for money, you use less nappies and save money on washing because you don't have to change and wash leaked on clothes.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend these because they are so reliable and very comfortable for baby.

CeriWyn · 13/05/2013 09:35

Hi

I tried the size 4 nappies on my 14 month old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was very impressed with the nappies. They're a nice design and very thin and soft. Absorbency wise I really can't fault them, they really did keep my baby dry for a whole 12 hours and I didn't once have to change her during the night.

I would definitely use Pampers again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They didn't leak at all during the night, however I could say the same about cheaper brands that I have used before.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Value for money is very good when they'r on offer during baby events ect, however I do feel that they're quite expensive when you buy full priced. There are much cheaper alternatives that are just as good.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend these nappies.

celebmum · 13/05/2013 09:35

ive been using size 3s on my petite 7m old.

q1 & 2.. snug, nice and soft. slim and not bulky so easy to carry round. fit nicely and kept her dry all night. no leaks. id prob use them again but im a regular long time user of pampers simply dry and if im honest i didnt find any difference between the two? im just as happy with the simply drys as i have been with the new baby drys.
q3. cost wise i do think that they are slightly more expensive, but this wouldnt put me off. tho if in a store that sold both baby dry & simply dry id go for the cheaper option!
q4. yes and i do/have done!

abigboydidit · 13/05/2013 10:30

I used size 3 for 3 month old DD

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very good. Nice and soft. Fitted well. Not too bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Great, no leaks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are more expensive so I only use them for overnight. During the day I will put up with occassional leaks and to be honest am not convinced they are any better at containing runny breastfed baby poo than own brand nappies.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes for overnight but otherwise no due to cost.

Hi My son is called Alfie he is 5 months old, I tried out size 3 Pampers Baby Dry.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Great absorbency, thin flexible and cute design. They where great I would defiantly try them again, in fact I have already bought my next pack of nappies, as Baby Dry.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very dry and no leaks, very good protection. Not bulky and flexible. Smelt a little after a full 12hour sleep.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are slightly a little more expensive, but I would still buy them anyway.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend, they where, dry, thin, flexible and I loved the design.

RockabillyKitty · 13/05/2013 11:01

I tested size 4 on my 3 month old (he's a big boy!)

We use Lidl nappies in the daytime which are great and cheap, but since we'd starting putting him to bed at around 7/8pm, I wanted something that would be reliable for a good 10 hours at least. My DS has only leaked once or twice and that's usually when the nappy is right on the limit after a 12 hour stretch.

Because we only use them overnight, they're definitely good value for money, especially for the peace of mind for overnight. I'd definitely recommend them. Lots of my friends have also recently become new mummies and we regularly share tips like this.

mummymcentee · 13/05/2013 11:23

I tested the Pampers Baby-Dry (size 4) on my 18 month old daughter & I would strongly recommend the Pampers brand to anybody.

I have tried a number of brands on my daughter & always came back to Pampers... so now I stay with Pampers! I find that although my daughter is very active, the Pampers Baby-Dry work just as much during the day as they do at night... in fact I prefer the Baby-Dry to Active Fit for 24 hours use.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was very impressed with the Pampers Baby-Dry. They were a comfortable fit for my daughter, they provided the perfect protection against leaks without being too tight around her legs or waist, allowing for plenty of movement whilst remaining comfortable & dry. I would definitely use them again as I feel I can trust that my daughter will remain comfortable & dry without me having to constantly worry that she will leak or be made to feel uncomfortable by wetness on her skin.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

In my opinion there is no comparison between Pampers and any other brand. I have tried a number of reputable brands & have been strongly disappointed either with leaks or poor absorbency causing my daughter to get a sore nappy rash, even with the little amount of time it has been on her skin. With the Pampers Baby Dry I have had a few leaks & obviously some nappy rash, but I do not believe either to be related to the nappy, but just babies bums being babies bums, rashes will happen from time to time & sometimes they drink a little more with the obvious outcome of more liquid out. I have found Pampers Baby-Dry to actually be the best when my daughter has a nappy rash as I trust that when she does wee the liquid is very quickly absorbed into the nappy & away from the already irritated skin. I have recently tried Asda?s own brand of nappies ?Comfort Dry? & must admit they would be my second favourite nappy as I feel they are the only nappy that would compare with Pampers with regards to quality, but I still would prefer Pampers & would still only Pampers at night time for the 12 hour protection.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

As any parent with a young child every penny really does count. I do think that Pampers can be slightly more expensive than some other brands of nappies, but I generally keep an eye on offers & in doing so they quite often work out at the same cost per nappy as some of the own brand nappies on the market, but they are of far better quality. For the quality reason alone, I feel that as long as I shop wisely (offers etc.) that Pampers is good value for money as it is a brand I trust for my daughter?s comfort & my peace of mind!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

YES!!! I would definitely recommend Pampers to anybody & in particular the Pampers Baby-Dry. As a first time mother you tend to be a lot more fussy about the products you buy for your baby. I have never had a complaint about Pampers products & as they are the only brand I 100% trust on my own baby, so why would I not recommend them to my friends etc. I am expecting my second child in September & this time round I will be using Pampers from the start rather than wasting money on other brands.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH PAMPERS & MUMSNET FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEST THIS FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!! Smile

denii · 13/05/2013 11:24

My little girl is 1.5yrs and we used size 4 carry pack.
We found they are of good value and reliable in terms of no leakage. On a night we sleep 12 hours through and still we have no wet (or dirty) clothing. So in my opinion that's a great result. I would happily recommend Pampers and will be happy to continue using them.
I would be grateful though if Pampers had more discounted promotions. That would be a definite plus point.

OHforDUCKScake · 13/05/2013 11:29

What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? They were faultless and I will definitely be buying them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection? Huggies have always leaked for us. So in comprison with Pampers there was no contest!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? The do cost more than superstore own brands, but I'll happily pay extra for a nappy that doesnt leak and my children arent allergic to. Which is many.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes. And I have done, and will again.

TwoFourSixOhOne · 13/05/2013 11:39

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They kept DS2 completely dry overnight, much better than the Active Fit we were using, they fit well and di9dint' leak. Will definitely buy from now on.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

As above, I'v eonly used these and Active fit and I am switching back to these.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are, although you can get cheaper ones I think you would use more, and plus have to wash sheets and bedding after leaks.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely, yes.

noo1985 · 13/05/2013 11:56

I used size 3 for my 6 month old.
Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Overall good impression, looked exactly like I remember the previous ones looking, maybe with a different design, can't remember what they had on them before. They faired well with my DS wetness and was impressed by this as I do not usually use pampers as they do not usually contain the wetness overnight. I would definitely use them again as they did exactl
Y what they said on the tin...

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
I am normally a fan of supermarket own brand due to price and leakage protection as I have found pampers baby dry before never held the wetness overnight so my DS would wake up wet. These nappies seemed to do the job with no leaking and due to him being a heavy feeder at this time I was pleasantly surprised. They kept him dry for the 12 hours!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
As far as I am concerned they are good value for money, but I do tend to only buy pampers when they are on offer as I do still get good results from supermarket own brands which tend to be cheaper.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend as I do think they offer the wetness protection desired.

ilikeyoursleeves · 13/05/2013 13:35

Hi, thanks for the opportunity to try these nappies. My ds3 is trying them out, size 4 and he is 10.5 months old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I like these nappies a lot, they are quite soft and light compared to other brands that feel like cardboard. Cute pictures and design and very absorbent. I would definitely buy them again!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Over the years I've tried out most nappies and pampers and by far the best in terms of absorbency and leakage. My ds wears one nappy for 12 hours at night and he's not had a leaky nappy yet whereas another brand (huggies) were almost guaranteed to leak every single night! My baby seems to like them too :)

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I tend to buy pampers in bulk at 'baby events' at supermarkets, I rarely buy the carry packs as they are quite pricey but if an offer is on its not too bad. Not sure how many nappies are in each of the packs outlined below, I would tend to look at price per nappy to compare with other brands.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I'd recommend them but also pampers simply dry are good so I'd tend to recommend them over baby dry ones due to value.

Economy Pack - £9.99
Jumbo Box - £12.99
Mega Box - £17.49

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/05/2013 14:01

I tested the size 4 nappies on my 25mo DD.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm very happy with the product. I tested it for a week, and the nappies have stayed dried through out the night. That is about 12 hours from nappy change at bath time to the next morning. I'll definitely continue to use the pamper baby dry nappies.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I've only used another brand, which is a supermarket own brand. Pampers is definitely a lot drier. At least I feel it can go longer before the nappy become too heavy with pee. Leakage was a problem when DD was a baby, but at 25mo, her poo is solid like adults so I can't test leakage protection.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think it's good value for money. I've checked the price and you can get it cheaper - £10 for jumbo and £15 for mega in a very well known supermarket with a green logo.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely.

stacey18lea · 13/05/2013 14:10

LOVED THE NAPPIES.... So much so that I went out and bought them n special offer in my weekly shop!
Cannot believe how much the work especially after trying all other brands for my teething LG!
Thank you for the test and introducing me to a dry world! Xx

We have been trialling size 4 on 9 month old DS

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall impression is good, nice and slim, good fit, seem nice and secure. Like the design and pattern

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

We have previously used huggies, Asda little angels, and Lidl's. pampers are on par with these, have had no leaks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are ok value for money. Some of the cheaper ones work well for us, but I appreciate that's not the same for every baby. Now DS is crawling I'm looking at trying 'active' ranges and will try out pampers.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them (along with other brands) as they do the job they are designed for well.

Moochicken · 13/05/2013 14:46

Q1 I thought they seemed nice and soft and I like the fact that they are not to bulky. I really liked the designs on the nappies, very sweet! Overall they looked and felt like good quality nappies.

Q2 I ordered size 3 for my 14 week old sin and had a couple of leaks in the night. I've since tried the size down and have not had any leaks so he must not be ready to move up to size 3. He wears a nappy from 9pm to 6am so they do well to hold a full night's worth of pee!
He has not leaked any poo out of the leg holes, which is something I've encountered with other brands. He sometimes explode out the top, but I think this would happen in any type of nappy.

Q3 The nappies are pricey but I don't mind paying for good quality and when ds wears the all night, I want him to be dry and comfortable.

Q4 I would definitely recommend them to others and will continue to buy them myself.

MrsBungle · 13/05/2013 15:09

My baby is 11 months and I was testing size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not in Size 4 I wouldn't. My baby is well within the weight range on the pack for these nappies but they were really a bit small on him.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I don't think they are a patch on active fit (although they are softer which is nicer) or Morrisons. Most nights the nappy has leaked - I think this is because it is too small but as I said my baby is way within the weight range - maybe he is an odd shape!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

No I don't. They are much more expensive than supermarket own brands which do the job just as well - the same size of Morrison's fits my baby fine

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wasn't really impressed so I am not sure I would. I am disappointed to say that because I really rate the pampers new born and active fit

Frol · 13/05/2013 15:22

Excellent nappies. They are very thin yet still manage not to leak when my little boy has a wet or dirty happy. I really like these. I do find that they are very expensive though, the price could go with lowering. Other than that I think they are brilliant. Xxx

silverangel · 13/05/2013 15:26

I tested size 4 for my 20month old twins.

Q1
I like them and would happily use them again - overnight not during the day though. We use Pampers Active-fit during the day as they are thinner.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

We had no leaks from 7am-7pm.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are good value - they are softer than the own brand nappies and we never have any problem with nappy rash. We usually buy them when they're on offer which makes them better value for money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would, we have used Pampers all the way through from Micro and have always been happy with them.
