Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

My overall impression was quite good, the nappies are great for daytime use, slimline so they fit under clothes well and the fit around the legs was great. I would use them again for daytime use but they leaked 6 out of 8 nights I used them. They leaked around the front waist, even though everything was pointing south so to speak. This could be because my son sleeps on his tummy, but it has out me off nighttime use, due to the extra washing.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

For leg leakage these nappies are the best protection I've found so far, but they do not seem capable of holding a breastfed baby poo in at the back. I think this could be because of the very stretchy tabs give it a bit too much 'give'. I find the more rigid backed nappies a lot better for this.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I find pampers to be quite expensive. Although if they are just wet you could change them less often as they do seem to absorb more. But with a baby who poos 5+ times a day this isn't an option so they work out more expensive than I would be willing to pay.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend trying them out for themselves. I find nappy use is so individual that what works on one child doesn't necessarily work on another. I would tell them of the great absorbency but fit wise I think people would need to experiment to see what's right for them.

IsThatTrue · 14/05/2013 06:29

Oh and I use size 3 nappies on my 5 month old son^

Twobuttonsaway · 14/05/2013 07:08

DS2 is aged 7 months

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very good as I expected from Pampers. I already use pampers active fit and would consider adding these for nightimes

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Had no issues with leakage. Baby stayed dry til morning (when he slept through)

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Okay value, though I only ever buy nappies when they are on promotion

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would - superior fit, dryness an no leaks!!

EmmaTalha · 14/05/2013 08:38

I am very impressed with Pampers baby dry and they seem to be the only nappies that keep my LO dry. I will continue to buy these as other nappies have led to a full change in clothes after leakages.

Even when my LO has a full nappy there doesn't seem to be any leaks. The only time that I have had to change my LO's clothes is after a dirty nappy that probably couldn't have been kept in by any nappy lol.

I prefer to buy Pampers in bulk as they work out cheaper. Although they're on the expensive side, compared to other supermarket brands, they are good value as I don't need as many changes.

I would recommend Pampers Baby Dry to other parents/carers as they do keep LOs dry, even over night.

Eunny · 14/05/2013 09:14

Q1
Was impressed as it kept my baby's pee locked in & dry for up to 12hours - But had one incident that his poo leaked out which seems common in the few diapers I've tried. So far I think I'll use pampers again

Q2
Compared to the few i've tried. I haven't experience any pee leak and baby feels comfortable with no skin reaction

Q3
I'll say they are good value for money when on sales. Also I'll rather have pampers that keeps baby dry, doesn't leak & comfortable than a cheaper one that doesn't meet these

Q4
Yes I would. Pampers Baby Dry seems a great product. Though the price aspect may be difficult convincing

Ceebies · 14/05/2013 09:29

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I tested the size 4 nappies on my 4 month old baby girl (she's a big baby!!) and I was happy with the outcome.

They weren't as bulky and much softer & more flexible that the own brand that I have been buying recently.

It also meant there was a wee bit more room in her nappy bag since the nappies were a more streamlined than other brands!!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They are definitely much better at keeping her dry as well as the previous 2 nights using the supermarket own brand nappies had left her with a damp patch on her vest the next morning.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

There are more expensive than other brands, but perform better, so perhaps worth spending the extra money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend these nappies to other parents - especially for overnight use.

Isitme1 · 14/05/2013 10:06

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Pampers are the only nappies I've ever used due to ignorance I suppose. On the first night I used the sample that was sent out ds woke up with wee all over his clothes and the nappy burst from the side.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Ive not used other brands of nappy

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I personally have never had to look at the value for money as I said above they are the only ones ive used as family members used them.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them to parents as they haven't let me down too much.

My son is 2 and 8 months old.he is a slim baby due to poor health. He was given the size 4 nappies to try

Sugarkane · 14/05/2013 10:23

Q1 Great overall impression, good fit, no leaks, no rashes and super absorbent. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Q2 These were by far the best nappies we have used, they keep my son dry all night, when I change his nappy in the morning his skin feels dry to the touch, unlike shops own brands which tend to make his bum feel wet.

Q3 I would like them to be cheaper and more in line with the stores own brands, having said that they are worth the extra money.

Q4 Yes I would they have been great.

springblossom33 · 14/05/2013 10:44

A week ago i received a pack of size 3 nappies to try for my 4 and a half month old, and i have been trying them since then.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

The nappies themselves are (deceptively) soft and slim. They don't look like they would last overnight without leaking, but they do. I initially used them just overnight, but over the weekend tried them out during the day, too.
The nappies did not leak, not once, neither during the day or night. However, as my child is breastfed (and breastfed children have more runnier poos) they are not a match for explosive poos (poonami!), as the poo goes up the back and onto his bodysuit etc.
For my previous children i preferred and had always used Huggies, and was worried Shock when it was announced that they were to stop selling in the UK. I had stockpiled as many as i reasonably could.
However, i can honestly say i am looking forward to them finishing so that i can buy Pampers.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They compared well. Did not leak urine even once, neither during day use or overnight - but couldn't keep the poo in, but neither can the nappies i currently use for my son. Maybe if they made the back a bit longer that we could use as a flap to fold inwards to keep the poo in, might help?
When i did change the nappy (after a wee) my child was not wet so it kept him dry and comfortable.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are good value for money if you buy them when they are on offer (as all supermarkets have baby events on regularly). Otherwise they are still worth buying because a) for the peace of mind, you know it will not leak, and b) i find that if you use cheaper nappies that you have to change them more often (so even though they are cheaper initially you use more).

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend Pampers because i have found that they really do keep my child dry overnight (even though he still breastfeeds regularly during), and they are soft and slim.

LowLu · 14/05/2013 11:37

I tried the size 3 for 17 week old DD

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Feel thin and not bulky which is good.
Actually seems I've been using them for last month or so anyway unless these are different to what's currently in shops? So yes I'd use them again as that's what we've been buying anyway and are happy with them. We sometimes use Huggies depending what was on offer but since Huggies have stopped selling nappiesin UK we'll probably just stick to pampers.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

She wears one sometimes longer than 12 hours overnight and only rarely have problem with wee leaks.
Had a few poo leaks out the sides or up the back but guess this is unavoidable. She has some nappy rash but since been using these a while cant tell if its the nappy or that is contributing to this or not. We tried some own brand nappies once (can't remember what) but the tabs kept coming off which put us off from trying anything other than pampers or Huggies.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are more expensive than some others but since the last time we tried anything else they kept falling apart we would rather stick to what we know works and pay at bit more. And stock up when on offer.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I'd tell friends we've had no problems with them.

EverythingslookingRosie · 14/05/2013 13:22

I have been using size 3 nappies on my nearly 8kg 9.5 month old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like them. They are thinner and more flexable than others i have used in the past and really like the feel of them as they seem more comfortable. However, my husband doesn't like them for the same reason as he thinks they feel a bit too flimsy.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They are great, my daughter is regulary in them for 12+ hours over night and we have not had a single leak. We have also never had a poo leakage either although her poo is a lot firmer since weaning.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are not the cheapest option but i think you pay for what you get and they are probably worth the money. i will be looking out for offers and will consider these when i next go nappy shopping.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes i would recommend these to other parents as, overall, i am happy with them.
They do have a funny chemically smell about them when wet though, worse than any others i have used.

Lisers2010 · 14/05/2013 14:26

My DS is 15 weeks and weighs 17lbs. We tested the size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely love these nappies. Not too bulky and keep my DS completely dry between changes. He sleeps 7pm - 6am without a change, and to date there have never been leaks. Cheaper brands have let us down, therefore are less cost effective in the long term.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Cheaper brands have let us down as DS has leaked through requiring additional changes and lot of extra laundry on top, therefore are less cost effective in the long term.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Yes and no. Although more expensive per nappy, with cheaper brands I have had to use up to double the number of nappies in a single day making them considerably more expensive. I try to offset the cost by using any vouchers I can get as well as the supermarket baby events and other in store promotions to bulk buy.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely, the cost of a full nights sleep is worth it!

Thechick · 14/05/2013 14:32

My little one is just 7 months old and we used size 3. I'm not sure of his weight, around 14.5 to 15 lb

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked them. They felt smaller in the waist than Pampers active fit which we normally use but that didn't make them better or worse. I would use them again as they didn't seem too full when it was time for changing.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They were as good as if not better than other nappies I have used.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are on the higher end of the nappy price scale. But I would pay a little bit extra for a good product (but not too much). Will probably only buy them if there was some kind of deal on which there usually is with my local supermarket

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would. They tick all the boxes of what i'm looking for in a nappy.

oldpolicehouse · 14/05/2013 14:41

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like pampers, they keep my little babe dry and comfortable and I was impressed with the quality. They are slightly expensive but in this case you do get what you pay for (no leaks!)

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They didn't leak or disintegrate even overnight. I found the blue line on the outside too reminiscent of a pregnancy test for my liking!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are expensive compared to other brands but they are a quality product and probably save in terms of washing where other brands leak.......I found I could leave it a bit longer to change as well.

I will have to look out for offers!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very much recommend them as a fantastic nappy (maybe to my richer friends though!)

oldpolicehouse · 14/05/2013 14:42

My baby is 7 weeks old and I tested size 3 (she is quite a big baby)

ChunkyPickle · 14/05/2013 14:48

On thing to add...

I don't know if it's just me, or just DS, or just what I've been feeding him recently (not that I can think of anything unusual), but in the mornings, the nappy full of pee doesn't half smell odd when he's wearing these nappies - I'm sure it smells a lot stronger than in other nappies.

ProtegeMoi · 14/05/2013 14:51

Not an official tester but think its important that pampers advertise that the 12 hour thing is overnight, too many parents leave babies in the same nappy all day. I know many people who don't change in the day unless wet as pampers say they last 12 hours, poor babies sitting in festering urine all that time :(

Minkie83 · 14/05/2013 16:43

I tried size 3 for my 6 month old little lady...

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am impressed with pampers baby-dry nappies and I would definitely use them again. I think they fit well and feel a good qualify compared to other brands.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

These nappies are 100 times better than other brands I've used. They fit better and never as yet experienced a leak using these. They can be worn longer and I have a more confidence with these nappies when going days out.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are more expensive compared to other brands but I use less of them compared to cheaper nappies therefore are probably better value for money overall

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend these nappies with other parents I have spoken too purely for the overnight dryness benefit and the actual quality of the nappy overall.

JParkson · 14/05/2013 17:09

when does this survey close?

MrsPeggyPatch · 14/05/2013 19:49

I've been trying these on DS 7 months, size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have used pampers baby dry before and had leaks, though I think we needed the next size up. I have also noticed a horrible chemically smell when using pampers before. Since using the trial nappies I've not noticed the chemical smell and we've not had any leaks. The fit is good and the nappy isn't bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

We usually use Aldi and pampers are comparable to these. I think the fit around the waist is better for DS, but with both Aldi and these Pampers we've not had leaks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are quite expensive compared to our normal brand which I find comparable in terms of performance. I would definitely get them if they were on offer though as I think they are a good product. I would probably only use them at night though.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend for night time use. However due to cost I would recommend using a cheaper brand during the day where there are more frequent changes.

Totesamazeballs · 14/05/2013 19:52

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I like the look of them. Colours are nice, I particularly like the polka dot design. The legs fit snugly around my sons legs, unlike other brands which seem too generous in that area. However, the sticky tabs seem quite small compared to other makes. I would use them again, bar a few leakage issues - see below.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
We had a few leakage issues but I think that was a size issue as the delay in signing up and receiving the nappies meant he had gone up to a 5, despite being well within the weight range for a size 4. He sleeps on his front which also seems to make nappies more prone to leak.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are on the expensive end of the market as own brands offer much better value in terms of price per nappy. However, if they offer me guaranteed dryness I will buy them for the night and use a cheaper brand during the day when I do up to five nappy changes.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why
I would because they are well known and good quality.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/05/2013 20:30

Dd, two years six months, used size 4 for night time wearing. As she decided to potty train before the nappies turned up :o

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

A lot slimmer than our usual brand but very absorbent. Yes I would use them again. We used to use Pampers with ds but gave up with dd as they constantly leaked. These are an improvement.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Tbh the brand we use are very good so these compare similar, not worse but not better although much slimmer so looked better on.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I do not think they are good value tbh, it's a small amount of nappies for £2 more than what I pay, I get 44 nappies with my usual brand.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them, at the same time as recommending usual brand.
I would only buy these if they were cheaper or the same price and same amount of nappies as regular brand.

nutella81 · 14/05/2013 20:37

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

My Dd is 10mo and we were using size 4

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They felt very soft (compared to my usual active fit 'AF') and I really liked the two designs. The AF ones I currently have look a bit boyish (sesame street design), and I much prefer the tested ones. They also appear less bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

A big negative is that I think they absorb less than the AF, so much so I wouldn't let my DD have one on at bedtime. Perhaps a 4+ might give me more confidence, however I feel AF size 4 is up to the job. For day time use they were great.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I'm not driven by price for choice of nappy, but I do appreciate they are on the upper end of cost scale compared to supermarket own brands. I don't have much to compare them too, but I'm relatively happy with the cost however I always keep an eye out for deals on my usual AF.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, as they look and feel nice but more so as a day nappy.

FeijoaVodkaStat · 14/05/2013 21:24

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

My over all impression is that yes Pampers Baby-Dry cope very well with a full night's worth of wee (to the extent I often for get to change DD until after breakfast Blush) and that there are no unpleasant odours and DD has never had a bad reaction (nappy rash) to them. I will indeed continue to use them.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

It has been a long time since I regularly used anything else in the night time, but the couple of times I have used her day time nappies at night, they definitely readily where as the Baby-Day ones don't.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I try to stock up when they are on special as they are significantly more expensive than other brands. If the price was a little cheaper all of the time it would make more sense than having them on promotion every couple of weeks.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend Pampers Baby-Dry based on my own experience (previously used Lidl nappies with disastrous results). Yes Pampers are expensive, but having had one child who suffered terrible nappy rash as a baby and then another child who suffered chemical burns from a highly recommended cheap nappy, it is worth it for me to stick with a brand I know does not cause an adverse reaction in my young child.

TeaandHobnobs · 14/05/2013 21:52

I've been using size 4 on my slightly built 1yo DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
They have performed very well, and I will continue to use them as my disposable nappy of choice.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
I haven't used any other brand of disposable since DS was a newborn, but have had no major problems with leakage with the Pampers Baby-Dry. They have not contained serious poosplosions (which my cloth nappies usually have) but generally they have performed very well. I don't think DS is a heavy wetter though, so he hasn't exactly taxed the limitations of the nappy's absorbency.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I do think they are on the more expensive side amongst branded and supermarket nappies, but I am prepared to pay for a product I know does a good job. Having said that, I only buy when on offer (as I do not use them everyday)

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'd recommend them as a nappy which does a very good job.

My only other comment would be it is a shame they still have that strong chemically smell once weed in - the smell is especially noticeable because we don't use them everyday, and sometimes makes me think DS has soiled his nappy when he hasn't at all. However I do realise something has to absorb the wee, and therefore eliminating or reducing that smell might be difficult.
