Size 3 on my 5 month DD2

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Kept her dry all night with no leaks or wet patches. Given she is sleeping 12 hours, the last thing I want is leaking nappies waking her up. She doesn't poo overnight so don't know what they are like at containing it!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

The only other nappies I have used overnight are new baby nappies and I would say these keep DD2 much drier.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I would try to buy the nappies when they were on offer or I had vouchers but if this wasn't the case, I would still buy them as I think they are so reliable.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, and have done so.

Tried the size 4s on my son who is 15months old and around 13kg

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely we'll probably stick with these or the active fit for the duration now. DC has very sensitive skin and its the only nappy we've tried where his skin looks normal - no redness or itchiness.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

At the start we used cheap disposables and eco-nappies - almost useless with regard to preventing leaks. We were cloth nappy fans for a long time and they were great as far as leaks went, but as he grew and they got tighter the nappy rash flourished - he was getting ulcers, not good. Tescos own brand have come the closest, but sometimes in the morning they were damp to the touch and his skin would be red and itchy. We have moved to the pampers active fit and to be honest they are almost as good as the baby dry. The active fit fit better, and the baby dry feel dryer in the morning, but haven't had leaks with either and his skin looks great now. Pampers is the only type of nappy that has ticked all the boxes.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Well worth paying the extra for, especially if you have a child with sensitive skin. The quality is just better - the nappy comes off bone dry in the morning.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely - think I've said it all above really.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
very happy with these nappies, they are nice and slim and fit my dd well. Pampers are the only brand I use. I have previously tried other brands but found that my dd had nappy rash with these so went back to pampers.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They are very good at keeping my dd dry throught the night, there has only been a few occasions where she has slept for 12 hours and done lots of wees where there has been some slight leekage and her bottom has been a bit damp, but overall she is usually dry at her first nappy change in the morning.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think the nappies are quite expensive compared to other brands so I tend to wait until they are on offer in the supermarket to reduce costs.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend pampers, they keep my dd dry and free from nappy rash and I dont have to wake her to change her nappy during the night.

Bigspring · 12/05/2013 20:32

My baby is 9 months had size 3

Very impressed with the nappies, would definitly use again.... No leaks and great overnight, also feel good unlike some cheaper nappies

Never use Huggies or boots own as tend to get leakage where as pampers I didn't.

The price is quite high so because of that I'd only buy them when on offer.

Yes would recommend

14 month old DS in size 4

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Nice handy size pack, nice and compact. The nappies are slimmer than you expect too. I would use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Unbeatable! I've tried other brands and overnight they really come into their own, we have never (touch wood) had a leak over night from pampers.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are good value for money because they don't leak! It's easy to be drawn into the false economy of baby items but paying in the middle for pampers makes all the difference.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would indeed, if it came up in conversation, as they are the only nappy that haven't leaked overnight.

mamij · 12/05/2013 20:45

Tested size 4 on my 18 month old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

It feels soft against my baby's skin compared to Huggies, which feels "plasticky". I've always used Pampers but started using Huggies and supermarket brands because of the cost. But the other brands can't beat Pampers in terms of softness or absorbency.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They kept my baby lovely and dry. No clamminess or nappy rash here! I've never found them to leak for wees, but they did when my LO had a tummy bug (mainly up her back, but not through the legs)/

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Slightly more expensive than other brands, but good value when they are on offer. Also, have to change my LO less frequently because of the great absorbency, so this balances out the cost.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely! Feels lovely against my LO's skin, nice design, and no nappy rash! Plus, they didn't leak, even overnight and sometimes for a whole day when we've been out and about, and too busy/can't find a convenient place to change!

Testing size 4 on 7 month old

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Overall impression is that they are brilliant.
I always come back to Pampers, especially for babies under 18 months or so.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They're much drier, don't leak and don't get 'full' and cold like some cheaper nappies.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I do.
First glance they seem more expensive but one supermarket usually has an offer on if you shop around.
Cheaper nappies need changing more often.

Q4 if it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. Definitely. They don't leak and are very effective.

vlynjo · 12/05/2013 20:52

I have a 6 month old DS who wears the size 4 nappies. He weighs about 20-25lbs.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very good. I usually use Pampers so wanted to see if they could be better and they haven't disappointed. I would definitely use these again as they kept my baby drier for longer. The extra layer obviously works. Was impressed that even though they do have an extra layer they don't seem any thicker than the original Pampers nappies.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I've tried a lot of other nappies on the market (including Huggies, Sainsburys, Boots, Tesco, Aldi, etc) and Pampers beats them all hands down for me. I've got a very wriggly baby so I need to know that his nappy isn't going to wriggle off him! The fitting around his legs and tummy is very good so leaks very rarely happen. Dryness as well is also really good, even after a full nights sleep (10-12 hours) it's like he's only been wearing it a couple of hours.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I admit Pampers Baby-Dry certainly aren't the cheapest nappies but when I was using other nappies I found I had to change my baby more often. With Pampers I use fewer nappies per day and so in effect it kind of works out cheaper (if that makes sense!) and who wouldn't want to spend less time changing nappies Grin

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend Pampers Baby-Dry to other parents. A happy botty means a happy baby Smile

FourLittleDudes · 12/05/2013 20:53

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I tried size 3 nappies for my 14 week old - I wasn't impressed with them go be honest, I found I was changing them frequently as his bum always felt squishy and they seemed to sag. They also smelt quite strongly. I tried them over night - I don't usually change nappies in the night - but in the mornings he felt damp, not leaked straight through wet patches but the whole bottom area was lightly damp. To be fair, his bottom felt dry so he wasn't lying in wet and he didn't get any nappy rash etc. I wouldn't buy them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I find Aldi nappies are good and use them during the day normally, and use a pampers baby dry over night. I prefer the baby dry that I was using before, although they are a size 2 so maybe that makes a difference. We had a couple of poonami episodes that werent contained, but I am yet to find a nappy that doesn't explode when he poos.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are very expensive compared to Aldi nappies and as I'm changing them as frequently they don't come out on top in value for money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't, but I would recommend pampers newborn baby dry.

skinnychai · 12/05/2013 20:53

Size 4 on my 2.2 yr old DS

Q1
Overall impression - good. Stay in place on my active toddler day and night.

Q2
Excellent absorbency, DS stays dry overnight 12+hrs. Better than supermarket own brands that I have tried.

Q3
Due to their good absorbency, I do think they provide good value for money as you don't need to use as many.

Q4
Yes, I would recommend them and will continue to use them on my DS.

Hopezibah · 12/05/2013 21:02

We tested size 4 on our 12 month old baby.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We are big fans of Pampers in our household and have used them on all three of my children. I prefer the 'baby-dry' pampers to the other types e.g. active fit because they seem to absorb more and keep baby drier.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Pampers always come up best for us in terms of both dryness and leakage protection. Other nappies end up being a false economy as we end up with leaks and then more washing so I don't think it is worth getting cheaper brands. With Pampers we still have the occasional leak e.g. if there is a poop explosion then it is tough for any nappy to hold it all in.

Occasional leaks in the morning if nappy gets really full of wee too.

However, just using the next size up at nighttime seems to solve this problem.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Yes - because they stop me having to wash clothes / bedding constantly with leaks as I have to if we ever use another brand. Nappies are pricey anyway - but it is worth getting the best ones and for us pampers is the best!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - I have never had a problem with pampers and have been using them over 3 children over the course of 9 years. I also love the one pack one vaccine initiative too as they are helping others.

janey223 · 12/05/2013 21:06

I tested size 4 for my 16m old DS, I thought they weren't going to fit after outgrowing another brand and in other brands he needs size 5 for bedtime absorbency.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was surprised they were so good (not sure why, I used to use then)! DS would always leak through size 4 and had to go to 5 for bedtime, in 4 nights he leaked slightly this morning after his morning bottle. They even survived DS' extra bedtime bottle for the past 2 days.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very good, we've had one small leak in 4 days which is good for him as he is a wee machine. DS normally wears 'easy ups' in the daytime and has been relatively well behaved getting them on.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I have been needing less nappies than usual, only about 4 compared to normally using 6. I'd never thought about this before so if bought on offer they would be good value but I'd still find them expensive otherwise as at full price a normal pack is about 9.99 compared to supermarket brands who are often 2 for £10.

Saying that they are a nappy I used to keep for bedtime use, not sure why I stopped.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend them, especially for bedtime, they do feel nicer than other brands and are the most absorbent but they do still smell!!!

Mimmi78 · 12/05/2013 21:20

Tried size 4 on my 7 month old boy.

  1. Good quality, we have had lots of issues with leaking nappies on our boy, wakes him up and requires a whole baby clothing and bed change, thus disturning his sleep. This was leak free and quiet night (at last!)
  2. above says it all, first dry sheet ans bed clothes night in a long time. The elasticated edging contained a particularly wet poop!
  3. The cost is ok, they are dearer than some of the other brands I have used from Aldi, Lidl & Sainsbury. The real comparison is against Boots own brand baby dry, which are around £12 for 100 I think at the moment. I feel like the cheaper brands have been a false economy for me as I need to change him more and the leakage issues at night do more than use nappies, tries my patience!! Maybe I would use these when I know he is sleeping and the value brand in the day when he is changed often enough to prevent leakage!
  4. Would happily recommend for those who are not seeking a value brand & require real leak protection
WannaSplitAPineapple · 12/05/2013 21:39

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.
tried size 3 on 10 month old DS. I struggle to find nappies to fit DS as he is average height for his age but very skinny so most nappies are too big on the waist. These fit very well.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
i was very impressed and I would continue to use them as I know they don't leak and I'm not worried about DS being in the same nappy I overnight

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
DS has had a bug recently and I tried 7 different nappies! These were the only ones that didn't leak! Out of the 7 nappies there were 4 different brands including one other pampers.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
having tried cheaper and more expensive nappies I always return to these as not only do I have to change them less frequently due to the dryness but the less leaks means less washing of DS's clothes. Taking all that into account they are certainly the best value.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
After the week of nappy explosions I have had I certainly will recommend Pampers Baby Dry. For me they are the best fit and best value.

Meringue33 · 12/05/2013 21:45

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

4 months - size 3

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Like others say, vg. Fit well and do not leak wee. Only thing that worries me is the blue chemicals. I use them at night time but not during the day as I worry (probably irrationally) that the chemicals may be bad for my baby. I've read stuff online about disposable nappies causing infertility in boy babies which wories me.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Best so far. Does not protect from massive poos however, but I'm not sure that would be possible. If Pampers could design a nappy that stopped two day poos from leaking, that would change my life!!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Reasonable, still think nappies are expensive though.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes.

Cherrybright · 12/05/2013 21:49

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I liked them, they have cute designs on the front, they are soft, not bulky and feel well made. They dont smell as bad as some other pampers I used last week. I would use them again if on offer, they are better than cheap supermarket ones.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
We have had quite a few dry nights, and lots of dry days. Last night Dd woke crying as her nappy was so full, and it became uncomfortable. She has had poo explode out of them once and 1 slight leakage. I think this is around the same amount as using pampers simply dry nappies the previous week.
Any other nappies we have used are not as abdorbant as these two. We had no rashes with baby dry.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think they are quite expensive- but they are good quality. If they were not on offer as much and I didnt get coupons I would probably only buy them for night time.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Im not sure, I think pampers nappies are good in general, and I would recomend pampers as a brand, especially now huggies are not for sale. but baby dry didnt keep my dd any dryer, and didnt give her 12 hours sleep last night, so I couldn't recommend them 100% as the best.

Cherrybright · 12/05/2013 21:50

Forgot to add
Tried size 4 age 19 months

SuiGeneris · 12/05/2013 21:55

Q1- how did I find them?
Very good but no different to the Baby-Dry I have been using for the past three years. Not sure what is new about them.

Q2-comparison with existing nappies

I use Pampers Baby Dry and Actuve Fit (depending on which I have to hand. The test nappies seem no different from the existing BDs.

Will return with the second half...

Klaga · 12/05/2013 21:59

I tested the size 4 nappies on my 10 month boy and I have to say, I was not very impressed. They have a specific smell when wet and occasionally leak.
The good thing is that they are thinn, soft and very flexible.

I'm not shure with recommending them. Beffore i test this pampers i was using pampers simpley dry and there was no leakage and no streange smell! I will stay with simpley dry with my boy.

ItLooksLikeRainDear · 12/05/2013 22:09

We tried the size 4 nappies on my DD aged 18 months

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

The first night we tried them she had a leak and I had to change her at half four in the morning so was not very impressed but didn't write review after the first try, thought we better give it a bit longer. Since then we have had no more leaks thankfully.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

The last brand we used we were happy with and never really had leaks unless it was a heavy overnight nappy or an explosive teething one! I do feel the skin can be wet after a nappy has been on overnight.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Competitively priced for other branded nappies but supermarkets own brands tend to be cheaper.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not not?

I probably would because despite our first mishap they have been reliable since.

mrsB256 · 12/05/2013 22:36

We tried a size 3 for our 12wk old little boy :)

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We'd definitely use them again. They don't feel cheap compared to some nappies & didn't seem to have that nappy 'rustle' under his clothes as we've found with some we've tried :) We've also been really impressed with them in terms of dryness and their ability to contain a poonami!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They seem to keep the wetness away from the skin for longer than other nappies but I'm not sure it'd make 12hrs as we have the occasional leak :( Never out of the legs but just from the top of the nappy, on his side. It does however seem to contain a poonami pretty well although there are some that there's no stopping!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I definitely think they're good value for money, particularly when they're on offer somewhere or you have a voucher or both, & certainly better value for bigger packs! I seem to use less nappies with these than with other brands which evens out the fact they're slightly more expensive.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd definitely reccomend them to other parents too. We've not had any real problems (other than the occasional leak as mentioned above) & the price isn't that high when you factor in the reduced number of nappies we use :)

Tottyandmarchpane · 12/05/2013 22:50

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? Nice, not too bulky, kept my 10 month old dry all night. I would definitely use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection? Pampers Active Fit is the only other nappy I have found (and therefore use regularly) which keeps my DD dry all night and even this leaks sometimes so I thought they compared very favourably.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? Seem to be priced about the same as other nappies so average value for money!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Definitely would recommend as onlY one of two types of nappy that kept my baby dry all night

Tottyandmarchpane · 12/05/2013 22:51

Forgot to add that baby is 10 months old and I tried size 4.

Pauline73 · 12/05/2013 22:56

I tested the size 4 on my 16 month old.

Q1 - I did like them. I used to use pampers baby dry on my son but had stopped using them with my daughter as I had found that they leaked a lot round the tummy area when I used them overnight. That said, the nappies are the thinnest and softest that I have used. I wanted to take part in the trial to see if they had improved. I am glad to say that they seemed to last through the night (about 10.5 hours) for us. I would use them again as although I have preferred using "Huggies" with daughter, since these are no longer being produced then I think that pampers is the only other real option, all other nappies I have tried seem hard and stiff in comparison and don't hold as much wee.

Q2 - I prefer Huggies for leak and wetness protection but since these are no longer being produced then Pampers is definitely my favourite brand. I don't think that the own brands can compete in terms of softness or leak protection or longevity between changes.

Q3 - I think Pampers are more expensive but since I don't have to change them so often then I do think they offer value for money.

Q4 - happy to recommend and have done so.

BollyGood · 12/05/2013 23:00

I tried size 4 for my 13 month old daughter.

Q1 Really impressed actually. I have been using them all week and at night time. The nappies are extremely absorbent and seemed comfortable for my daughter to wear. I will be buying them again.

Q2 The nappies have not leaked once. My daughter can be a little milk monster on occasion at night time and they held up well. Other nappies I have tried have leaked dreadfully. My daughters skin has not shown any irritation at all. The nappy was very very heavy first thing in the morning but still did not leak.

Q3 I feel the nappies are expensive but very worth it. They are thin enough to not look bulky yet hold everything in, even a gigantic poo today. I would like to see a few more in the standard packs but overall I am happy with the cost.

Q4 I would recommend Pampers Baby-Dry to other parents as they do what they say on the packet.
