Right, first thing I would like to say is that for a company that is going for the environmentally friendly angle - the packaging was WAY over the top. One small bottle arrived in a very large box that was packed with those plastic packaging wotsits that are no doubt very bad for landfill. Plastic is not biodegradable and no doubt a lot of oil has been used to produce all that packaging material. I was not overly impressed with that.
Q1 - overall impression? Well you'd need a good grasp of French to figure out the instructions.
I was sceptical that four pumps would be enough to do one wash so I tested it on ds's sheets. He dribbles and his sheets and snuggly pillow are covered in stains. The liquid did manage to clean the pillow although not all the stains on the sheets were removed, however that might have been different had I put the liquid directly onto the stains and rubbed it in which I will try next.
I was impressed that just 4 pumps did one wash. That would certainly make it more economical and of course if you use less liquid then you don't need large bottles which use more energy (and plastic) to produce.
You do still need conditioner though. I did try it without and the towels were quite stiff once dried.
My dd and dh have very sensitive skin (she has excema and he has psoriasis) yet they have not complained that the liquid has irritated them at all which is good. Mind you it is early days so if they do start to complain I will come back and add another comment.
Q2 - I would put instructions in both English and French. I have not seen this washing liquid around so can't comment on the price but if it's very pricey then that would obviously put me off as we are meant to be saving money.
I'm also not sure how environmentally friendly it is so I think they need to make that clearer on the bottle. For example, is the bottle made out of recycled plastic? Being plant based is rather spurious, what does that mean exactly? Most chemicals derive from the environment so I'd like to see more written about how safe it is for marine animals and keeping the water eco-system balanced.
Q3 - the fragrance is nice. It's not the most important thing in a washing powder but it was a pleasant smell and 3 days after washing dd's bedding, you can still smell it. As for cleaning power, well I've yet to try it with dh's work clothes and I will try it direct onto stains but so far it's done well and I'm impressed that such a small amount covers one wash.
Q4 - yes I would recommend it. I would say that as you need to use so little, it could be great value (depending on how much it is of course!), it doesn't take up much space in the cupboard, cleans well, doesn't irritate skin and smells nice. If it is as environmentally friendly as it says, well that's a bonus.
