  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I have not used Ecover before so was looking forward to trying them.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

I use wipes a lot as a childminder I use them for convenience and quickness.
I was disappointed with the size.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

Have not used in bathroom yet, but have used all over kitchen including highchairs and potties.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

Very important as a childminder my house needs to be as clean as possible.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Packaging easy to use, information ok, did not like the smell was very strong, moisture was just right.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

Put in recycle bin, not being flushable is only a problem when cleaning bathroom where I prefer flushable but I mainly use wipes in kitchen.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Possible would buy my only concern is the strong smell, would recommend.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

Did not have any pre-conceived views on product.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

4 stars, If smell could be improved would give 5.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I really like Ecover, I think their products have improved immensely over the past few years. It is nice to know that the products are as near to natural as you can get and I love the refilling.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

No, I use a cloth that gets dried and reused then boil washed after 3 days. Or recycled clothes such as socks.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I used them in the kitchen, the bathroom, on the high chair and changing mat.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria?

Very important, especially now we are in 'cold' season.

Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I try ensure all products are anti-bacterial as much as possible. Although building up some resistance is a good thing.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

The first few wipes out of the package were fine but lower down they were very wet and stuck together, a bit like the end of a pack of wet wipes. The packaging was easy to use although I did almost wipe my son's face at one point, so much was it like our wet wipes. It did carry all the information. The fragrance was lovely and not overpowering. They got the job done although there was a lot of soap on the wipes, I did find it hard to unfold them.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

In the bin. If we had our composter, I would have put them in there. I would never flush a wipe. I use flushable nappy liners and don't flush them. I would worry what it would do to the drains in bulk.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

I think I would buy a pack specifically to do small jobs like wipe down the change mat between changes or to get in the small fiddly bits of the cooker. Otherwise, I think my washable rags do as good a job with less waste.

If it were the sort of friend who already used single wipes to clean then I would recommend they change brand because it is kinder to the environment but I wouldn't to someone not using wipes already as I don't see how they make life any more convenient that a cloth.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

I like Ecover equally as much now as before the trial.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

3 - there were some positives (getting small, fiddly jobs done, nice smell, handy), and some negatives (a bit wasteful, too much soap, felt like I was trying to clean with a small wet wipe at times). So mid-range. Good for those already using wipes to swap to a better brand.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before? I thought that Ecover products seemed like a good idea but had never used them as they were out of my price range

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons? I do use wipes as they are quick and convenient

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job? I tested the wipes in the kitchen and on the high chair. They worked well on the highchair but I had to dry off with kitchen towel as they left the tray quite foamy. I liked them to use on my worktops as they didn't leave streaks, when they eventually dries. However, I thought that the wipes were quite small and the texture was cheap and flimsy and didn't stand up to wiping stubborn marks off my hob.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene? I do use anti-bacterial as it does two jobs at the same time

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done? To be fair, I didn't really read the packaging. It was as easy to use as any other product of the same nature and I think that the fragrance was a bit non-descript, but better than chemically and artificial fragrance. The wipes were very moist and soapy initially, but seemed to dry quite quickly.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem? If we had a compost heap, then they would have gone on that. However they just went straight in the bin once finished with.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why? It would depend on the price and I don't think I would go out of my way to buy them

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how? No, my perception is still the same.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes? I think I would give them 3.5 stars

1)I like Ecover products and have used them for many years (10+).
2)No I do not currently use wipes as I do not like cleaning products containing strong chemicals.I am pleased that Ecover have now made their own wipes because of this.
3)I used the wipes to clean the toilet and potty. They were good for this but like others have said the wipes could do with being a bit thicker/larger.
4)Yes as I am using them for the toilet/potty it is good that they are anti bacterial. Previously I have added a couple of drops of tea tree oil to Ecover surface spray in order to make it disinfect and used with toilet roll which I then flush away.
5)Packaging and fragrance good. Wipes felt quite foamy I thought but this was fine when used. Just could do with being bit bigger/thicker.
6)I put them in bin. (Do not have compost as live in v urban setting) It would be better for me if they were flushable as using to clean tiolet/potty.
7)Yes I would buy them again if they were on offer (on tight budget). Yes would recommend to friends/family who currently already use Ecover products.
8)My perception of the brand was already good. I am glad Ecover have introduced a more ecologically sound wipe to the market.
9)I'd give them a 4. All good but could do with being bit thicker/larger.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I hadn't used Ecover products before, but had seen them in the shops and the environmentally-friendly aspect interested me.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

I use disposable cleaning wipes to clean kitchen and bathroom surfaces. I find them convenient to use.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I cleaned my bathroom, including the toilet. They seemed to clean as effectively as other brands I've used.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I like to use anti-bacterial products for surfaces that might carry a lot of germs, like bins and toilets. I currently use anti-bac products to clean the toilet, kitchen surfaces, cat litter tray and cat food area.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

The fragrance was pleasant and not overly strong. The packaging was easy to use and resealed easily after use. The wipes were moist enough, even at the top of the pack.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I threw mine into the general waste bin. I like that they're biodegradable though, especially as I can often go through quite a lot of them.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

I would buy them if the price was comparable to supermarket own brand wipes. I would recommend them; they are as effective and convenient as other brands of cleaning wipe and also more environmentally friendly.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

My perception of the brand hasn't changed, the wipes worked just as I expected them to.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

I'd give them a 4; they were convenient, effective and easy to use. The only thing that would put me off buying them would be the price, as I tend to buy supermarket own brand wipes, or to stock up on branded wipes if on offer.

1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them Had you used any Ecover products before?

I think Ecover is great and I have used their products before with no issue. I would like to know the difference between ecover and the brands that they sell in oxfam and vegetarian cooperatives - the fact that ecover are not there makes me wonder why, but if I am in the supermarket I prefer to get Ecover so I can be environmentally friendly.

2. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

No, I do not as I would normally see wipes as wasteful. I use various different reuseable and washable cloths.

3. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I tested the wipes on the sink, bath, toilet inside, outside and seat, shower door, kitchen, bathroom tiles, sides. (not all the same one). The wipes worked fine except for the shower door where I needed a spray to help remove the soap suds and marks. For the toilet I found that I used a lot and this would put me off as I would see it as wasteful.

4. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I use zoflora for my floor and we have the supermarket own brand eco friendly multi surface spray. I sometimes buy antibacterial but not as a special thing. I will buy it if the kids are ill and I want to keep the place clean, but I think we cant kill every germ or we will end up with immune to antibacterial germs.

5. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Packaging was fine, smell was nice. Wasnt enough moisture or strength to do the shower door as previously mentioned. Got the job done but the wipes were small so used quite a lot of wipes.

6. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I used the paper recycling with the exception of the toilet ones which I put in the bin.

7. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

I like the idea that they are eco friendly ish but they are still promoting disposable use and I think I may buy them again but not regularly. I would buy other ecover products though.

8. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

Im still a happy customer, as before.

9. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

4

Thanks Ecover

1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?
I am generally positively inclined towards Ecover products. I use their washing up liquid and dishwasher rinsaid regularly.
2. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?
I do use them - I feel a bit guilty about the waste, but I love the convenience and lack of smelly reuseable cloths hanging around.
3. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?
Kitchen surfaces, top of stainless steel rubbish bin, corners of floors and gloss paint in the kitchen.
4. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?
I don't approve of the routine use of antibacterial products - I'm not obsessive about it, but where I have the choice I will use the product without anti-bac
5. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?
I didn't really read the packaging - it's a wipe, I assumed it wouldn't require instructions.
The fragrance was ok, but I didn't actively like it - I like my cleaning products to smell of traditional "cleaning" smells; ideally citrus, "ocean" or apple.
Yes they were damp enough.
6. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?
I didn't realise they were compostable; it doesn't say so on the label. If it's ok, I will compost them with my food waste - I think that's a real plus point and would help assuage my guilt about using disposable wipes.
I wouldn't flush them anyway (expensive lesson learnt from blocking loo with Kandoos), so the fact that you can't flush them makes no difference to me.
7. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?
Maybe would buy again. I'm balancing the advantage of compostability with the fact that I just don't think they clean as well or smell as good as my nuclear strength Flash Lemon wipes. Might mention them to an eco-inclined friend I guess but I can't imagine how bored I'd have to be to talk about cleaning wipes over coffee.
8. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?
Not really, I was already a fairly keen Ecover user.
9. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?
A solid 3

1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

That Ecover are environmentally friendly but quite expensive products. Yes I have used them in the past.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

I have done for convenience mainly, but found them annoying as they dried up so quickly.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I've tested them on kitchen surfaces, sinks and in the bathroom. They overall do a very good job although can leave a bit of residue.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

It's pretty important especially in food prep areas and in the bathroom. Yes, I generally use anti-bac sprays.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Loved the packaging, bright and attractive and delivered all relevant info. Loved the fragrance, that was my favourite thing. And the wipes remained very moist which was excellent.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I put them in the bin, but will put them in the biodegradable bin in future. Not being flushable is not a problem as I would never flush wipes of any kind.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Yes I think I would, as they were really effective, smelt lovely and also, crucially, did not destroy my hands when I used them; I have sensitive skin. So I would recommend them to a friend on this basis.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

Yes, slightly, in the sense that I never associated Ecover with such nice fragrances before. Also impressed by efficiency.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

I would give them 4 stars (a point taken off for slight residue remaining), but overall I rate this product highly.

Thank you! Smile Thanks

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I've used a fair few Ecover products. I buy the washing up liquid regularly and often toilet cleaner. I like the idea of them being better for the environment.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

No, I don't use them.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I used them on kitchen surfaces, on the bin and the loo seat. I wasn't bowled over by them. They seemed quite small to do any proper cleaning with them, so I didn't think they were that appropriate for the kitchen worktop. They were OK for the bin and the loo seat. I am past the high chair stage but I imagine they would be good for that, though I was never really obsessive about cleaning high chairs - normal baby wipes were adequate for me.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I'm not fussed about that really. I have some anti-bacterial products at home but more by accident than design.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Yes, the packaging was fine. They definitely retained enough moisture but were a bit soapy for smaller areas like the bin so I ended up wiping down with kitchen roll afterwards. Fragrance was OK, not too strong or too artificial.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I just chucked them in the bin. We don't compost at the moment and I don't imagine the council would be happy to take them away with the garden waste. I would never think about flushing products like this so that wasn't important to me, as even if they say they are flushable I don't tend to believe it.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

No, I wouldn't buy them. I felt they were quite wasteful. I prefer to use a cloth that I can then bung in the machine. I will probably use up the rest in the bathroom but I won't replace them and I don't think I would recommend them, sorry, just not my type of thing.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

It hasn't changed my perception.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

I would give them 2. I appreciated the chance to test them though, thanks.

  1. i had heard of ecover and i like their products and ethics, i use their washing up liquid as its the only one that doesnt aggravate my eczema.

  1. well i use baby wipes! but no i dont buy any cleaning wipes as it doesnt seem very environmentally friendly but if i am in a hurry nad the bathroom needs a quick wipe then baby wipes are great, ditto for dusting or wiping the table/highchair! they are also expensive i think.

  1. i used the wipes to clean the bathroom and yes they did an ok job, they smelt nice, but were a bit small/thin so i used a lot, my taps were shiny tho and i used them to clean the skirting board and radiators as welll, also used them to clean the high chair and they did that fine.

  1. i dont buy or use any antibacterial products generally, i use bleach in the toilet but i am not sure anti bacterial stuff is necessary or very good for us tbh, we dont seem to get ill or anything so i must be doing something ok.

  1. packaging was fine and yes had all the info etc and they were wet enough to use, if anything they were slightly too foamy and i felt i had to wipe my bathroom tiles with a dry muslin cloth afterwards to get rid of residue. but they werent big enough or thick enough imo. yes i liked the fragrance.

  1. i just put mine in the regular rubbish, dont have a compost heap, i would NEVER flush wipes ever! didnt realise i could put them in with food waste or i would have done.

  1. yes i would recomend to a friend and already have done :) i would buy them if they were on offer but not at full price, i prefer a spray and a cloth that i can then wash in the machine but they are good to have in the cupboard, i would probably have some in the bathrooom for a quick wipe around when needed.

  1. hasnt changed my perception, i already liked them anyway, if anything i was slightly disappointed in the wipes just because they were so thin and small.

  1. i would give them 4 out of 5 as they were too small and thin, but i am assuming this is because they are biodegradable? i feel i would use a lot of them if i were to use them as an everyday cleaning item and this woudl put me off buying them.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

Thought they may not work as they might be greener and therefore less able to tackle stains. Not used ecover before

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

Yes, find them very useful for quick jobs, more expensive than kitchen roll/water but love the conveniece

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

All over -mainly floors and kitchen. Seemed to work well, got rid of spills.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

Quite important as have 2 dogs and 5 cats so need to be anti bacterial really! Use them for cleaning but with the comfort of knowing they also kill some germs.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

I liked the fragrance and the wipes retained enough moisture although they did feel dryer than my normal flash ones. I found it difficult to take out one wipe at a time, i seemed to pull out 5 each time all bunched together.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I threw them in the bin :( hadn't realised they could be put on the compost heap. Not a problem that they're non flushable, i think most wipes aren't.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Perhaps, although i felt flash type wipes did a better job. I would tell a friend they were ok

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

yes, opinion has gone up

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I use mostly Ecover stuff around the house - washing up liquid, detergent etc. I find the products work well and they don't dry my skin out as much as some.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

I do use disposable wipes but I think they're wasteful and will just add yet another thing to landfill sites so I try to find alternatives when I can. I mostly use cloths/sponges but baby wipes are brilliant for certain things.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I used the wipes on the highchair after a banana eating session, on the cooker after a day's cooking, on the table after a glitter-glue spree and on the downstairs toilet/sink. I was more than happy with the result; the wipes cleaned well, smelt lovely and picked up all the scraps of glitter.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I'm not hugely fussed about anti-bacterial so that doesn't make a big difference to me.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

The packaging is solid and didn't give up after a few days' opening/closing. The fragrance is fresh and not overpowering. The wipes were definitely wet enough, I was a bit worried at first that they were too wet but it dried fine with no residue.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I put mine in the bin since we are due to move and don't currently have a compost bin and the council doesn't take compostables but under normal circumstances I'd be more than happy to lob them in the compost bin. I wouldn't flush them even if they said they were, no point if they're biodegradable anyway!

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

I would buy these in the future, especially if travelling. I'd recommend these to a friend too, I think they're quite good.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

It hasn't changed my perception of Ecover, I'm a fan already and this product has lived up to my expectations.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

Had not used ecover before. Thought they might not be as effective as other brands
  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

Use flushable wipes for toilet, as they are easy to use and hygienic. Do not use kitchen or bathroom wipes as do not need to, feel they are a bit wasteful.
  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job? Kitchen and bathroom. Yes, they were effective. Thought they were too small when I first saw them, but they did do the job!
  2. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene? Very, as use for kitchen surfaces. Normally use dettol antibacterial spray.
  3. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done? Yes, good packaging. Didn't really notice a fragrance. Yes, lasted well.
  4. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem? Did not know I could put in food waste caddy, will do that in future. I put them in the bin.
  5. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why? Yes, just because they are handy to have and they work. Also really like that they are biodegradable.
  6. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how? Yes, will be tempted to try other products such as washing up liquid.
  7. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes? 4. Perhaps would have like a bit more fragrance.

1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?
I'd never tried ecover products before. I wasn't convinced that they would actually clean things properly.
2. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?
If I remember to buy wipes, I use them to clean down my daughter's chair and the dining table after meals. I find they are much more convenient to wipe food mess.
3. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?
I used them on my daughter's high chair and my dining table. They are FAB! I love these wipes; they are the perfect size, they smell gorgeous and they work really well.
4. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?
I normally use antibacterial products, but see it as an added bonus rather than a necessity.
5. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?
The packaging was good. The fragrance was lovely, really, really nice/ The wipes were very moist and made getting the job done very easy.
6. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?
I binned mine as I didn't realise they were compostable. I don't currently have any food waste recycling facilities or a compost heap but it is worth bearing in mind for the future. I wouldn't flush them regardless as I would worry about clogging the drains.
7. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?
Depending on the price of the wipes, I would definatly buy these wipes. I love them! I've tried lots and lots of different wipes and always been a bit meh about them, but these ones I like. I would recommend to a friend. They are the best wipes I've tried.
8. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?
Yes, I would be more willing to try other products with this brand as using these wipes was such a good experience.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

I would give these wipes 5 stars.

  1. I really like Ecover's green credentials and I would definitely describe it as a brand I trust. Although I have to admit that I do think of their products as expensive and unlikely to be on offer so I tend to buy them when I'm feeling flush but get cheaper brands when money's tight. However, I always use their washing up liquid for our babies' bottles as I worry about the rubber teats absorbing chemicals from diswasher tabs or other brands of washing up liquid. I feel a bit safer using Ecover as there are fewer chemicals.
  2. I currently use wipes in the kitchen and bathroom as they are convenient and I also don't like the thought of spraying chemicals in the air if my children are around to inhale them.
  3. I've been using them mostly in the kitchen and bathroom but also to wipe the skirting boards and dado rails throughout the house. I have found them really effective. Because of the natural ingredients I have been happy to use them on the kitchen table and highchair and was amazed to find that they removed, with relative ease, dried weetabix, which is possibly the hardest substance known to man. They were fine in the bathroom although it would be nice if they were flushable after doing the loo. 4. It is very important that the wipes are anti-bacterial and kill bacteria. I have a toddler and a newborn at sometimes I don't keep on top of housework so I like to use anti-bacterial products in important areas like the kitchen worktops, fridge, table, highchair and sink and the bathroom
  4. The packet was easy to read and the wipes were easy to take out. It sealed up well afterwards too.

I really liked the fragrance. When I saw the pink on the packaging I thought the fragrance might be sickly-sweet but it wasn't at all. It wasn't too strong or chemically.
The wipes were fantastically moist; I was able to do the table first then whip around the floor afterwards. They are not big enough to be general floor wipes but good for getting up sticky spots etc.
  1. I'm afraid I didn't even think to compost them, I just chucked them in the bin (after giving it a once over!) Would be a bonus if they were flushable, though not essential. Besides, I'm not sure how green that'd be?
  2. Due to their convenience, fragrance, moistness, but most of all, lack of nasty chemicals, I would definitely buy these in the future and recommend them to friends.
  3. My perception of the brand remains the same: pricey but you get what you pay for. If money didn't come into it I'd choose Ecover over other brands.
  4. 4.5. Minus half a point for not being flushable.

I am really sorry but I thought they were awful :( far too thin - I needed at least three to make any impact; too foamy and smelt awful :( sorry! No way would I buy them or recommend them - tried them in the kitchen bathrrom and loos and was really disappointed.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I've never bought them before as I wasn't convinced how effective they'd be but I tried some Ecover products in our holiday cottage this year and quite liked them.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

Don't generally use wipes as they are quite expensive and I find a microfibre cloth and spray usually does a better job. I do sometimes use them for cleaning loo seats and highchairs although I usually just use babywipes on the highchair as I can use those on DS too.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I used them on kitchen surfaces, toilet seats and the highchair. I found they left the kitchen surfaces a bit streaky but this is the same for all wipes with the worktops we have. They did a good job of cleaning the highchair and the loo seat but they were a bit too foamy and also too small and thin, meaning I had to use at least two wipes.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I'm not too bothered as I feel too many anti-bacterial products in the home can actually cause increased susceptibility to infection, however I do like to use some anti-bacterial products on food prep areas and loos.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

The packaging was easy to use but it was quite difficult to see where to lift the seal to open the wipes for the first time. It had all the information I needed. I quite liked the fragrance and the wipes were moist enough but needed to be a bit bigger to get the job done.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I put them in the general waste bin but would have put them on the compost heap if there had been information on the packaging to say this was recommended. I think it would make them a bit more convenient if they were flushable but the fact they're not isn't a problem for me.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Possibly. I like them better than other brands of wipe I've tried as the scent is nicer but I'm still not a great wipe fan.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

It's reinforced that Ecover products are quite pleasant to use and do a decent job. I don't think I'd buy the wipes again unless they were on offer but it's made me want to try other Ecover products.

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

I'd give them a 3. If they were bigger I'd give them a 4.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them?

Had you used any Ecover products before?
I have used their products before, liked them, liked the ethos but found them expensive!

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

Yes. Convenience mainly.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

High chair
Wiping the floor after spillages
Taps, light switches and door handles after a bug in the family!

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

Not just important, vital for me.
I use supermarket's own brand of anti-bac wipes and spray at the moment

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Plastic bit tricky to open
Info was all there, yes
I liked the fragrance and found them moist enough to do the job and give peace of mind :)

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I didn't realise I could put them in the compost bin-I'll start doing so from now on, though. I have been throwing them in with normal rubbish.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

I would buy them if the price was acceptable and would recommend them, yes.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

I would be keen to try other items in the range, subject to them being affordable and of similar quality.

I used the wipes to clean the bathrooms, they did a good job, didn't smell too strongly, didn't leave residue or anything.
I don't usually buy Ecover as it's expensive, I don't usually use cleaning wipes as they're an expensive and wasteful way to clean things.
Re. Composting the wipes, I'd be concerned that the antibacterial product on them would kill the bacteria that decompose stuff in the compost heap. I put mine in the food waste.
Overall, a good size, good at cleaning, I liked the smell and strength of fragrance.
4 out of 5 until I can be reassured about composting the wipes not upsetting my compost heap.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I have used Ecover washing up liquid many years ago but found it less effective. However I was positive about trying these wipes as I thought that Ecover would be more effective now.
  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

Yes I use antibacterial wipes (Dettol mostly) as my daughter has health issues so this is a high priority at present.
  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

Bathroom basin, bath and toilet. Fountd I had to rinse everythig as residue left looked smeared and not clean.
  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

Very improtant to me and main reason for purchasing wipes of this type (rather than dusting wipes ).
  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Packaging good. Fragrance good. Very moist and "foamy" compared to other wipes but was a negative with regard to rinsing being needed.
  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

In the bin. Flushable would be ideal for toilet. Looked like they would take a long time to compost and do not like idea of toilet cleaning then into compost for vegetables.
  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Unfortunately no. I really wanted to like them but did a side by side test on large basin with dettol wipe. I did not rinse but when I returned the Ecover side was covered with smeary residue and this made it still look very dirty. If I have to rinse ane wipe dry with another cloth I feel this defeats the purpose and reduces the antibacterial effect. So sorry.
  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

Sorry would not buy them now.

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

i had a very low opinion of Ecover products, based on nothing more than having visited quite a few very scummy homes with Ecover products in the bathroom.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

I have done - from time to time - but generally use antibacterial spray and either a dishcloth or kitchen roll. I feel wipes like this are a bit of a luxury.

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

I used them all over - starting with the hob (after all, there was a picture of an oven on the packet). I was really impressed with the way they cut through cooking grease. I hadn't expected that. Also in the bathroom and to wipe over surfaces. I did clean my daughter's placemat with it - but the amount of foamy residue left made me think it would taint the food so I wiped it over again with kitchen roll.

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I use antibacterial spray (see above). Yes - very important.

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

The packaging was fine. I did like the smell (especially in the bathroom). Plenty of moisture - perhaps even a bit too much (see above)

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

In the bin. I would compost them now you've mentioned it.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Yes - I thought they were thicker and more efficient than I'd expected.

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

Yes, I no longer think Ecover products don't really clean!

  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?

3.5 - because the foam residue meant shiny surfaces had wipe marks on them.

  1. I've used Ecover products before and have found them very good generally, though harsh on the skin and a little on the expensive side.
  2. I very occasionally buy wipes when they're on special offer at the supermarket. I have boys, so they can be very handy to keep in the bathroom for quick wipe ups! I don't buy them all the time simply because they're expensive for what they are - a cloth and spray will always be better value for money and do a better job.
  3. I used the wipes on everything - my granddaughters high chair, in the bathroom, for quick wipes in the kitchen, the kitchen/bathroom bins - the kids even used them to give their shoes a wipe! They did a good job though I had to use more wipes than I'd have been happy to use had I paid supermarket prices. They're not very big and wouldn't have stood up to anything more than a quick wipe around. That's my general criticism of all wipes of this nature however. These general use wipes should be the size of floor sized wipes, and floor wipes bigger again than that. I'm not sure who in the designing process comes to the conclusion that this size wipe is the optimum size...someone that is not responsible for house cleaning perhaps.
  4. I am not a fan of antibacterial cleaning products generally, I think they're unnecessary...that said, since my granddaughter was born, as she spends a lot of time here and I have pets, I do like to ensure that her high chair is cleaned with an antibacterial cleaner, also the surfaces I prepare her food on. I can't guarantee my naughty cats haven't been on the surfaces behind my back so I like to be sure they're safe.
  5. The packaging had all the info I need, though it was a little tough to get into the pack initially. Loved the fragrance, really clean spelling without being chemically. Sadly the wipes were too small so were often overloaded with product.
  6. The wipes went into the bin, though I have put one in the compost bin to see what happens!
  7. I would possibly buy the product again if it was on offer in the supermarket. I'd have no problem recommending any Ecover product to someone else - they are very good, the wipes included if that's the kind of product that someone likes.
  8. I did find these were not so harsh on skin as other Ecover products are - has it changed my perception of the brand? Not especially, I liked them before and I still like them now.
  9. I'd give them 3/5...only marked down because they were on the small side, and had too much product on them due to that.

Thanks for letting me try these.

  1. Not bought Ecover products before, always just assumed they would be more expensive (although never actually checked!)
  2. I am a big fan of cleaning wipes, usually use them most in the bathroom but also kitchen occasionally. Convenient to use, although I always do feel a bit guilty as they go into landfill - so that these were biodegradable was definitely a plus.
  3. I used the wipes mainly in the kitchen, surfaces, hob, cupboard doors. Also used them on dining table and on toddler place mat, chair etc. I liked them, felt they cleaned well and liked the smell. I would have liked them to have a slightly more textured/abrasive surface though as they weren't that good on dried on stuff.
  4. Yes, v important for me, what's the point of cleaning otherwise?!
  5. Packaging fine, liked the smell, definitely enough moisture.
  6. I put them in the bin, didn't realise they could be compared. Probably wouldn't compost them anyway, just wouldn't feel right!
  7. Yes would probably buy again, especially if they were on offer. Would recommend to friend.
  8. Yes has changed my perception of Ecover products, I will certainly consider buying other things in future. Still think they might be a little more expensive though.
  9. 4/5 - really liked the wipes, just could do with a bit more abrasive-ness! Thanks

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

Bit skeptical about the ability to do job required. Never used Ecover products.
  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

Use wipes for convenience when doing a quick clean up of kitchen and bathroom. Also use wipes on high chair. Use for convenience mostly. Although they can be expensive.
  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

Mostly highchair but also in the kitchen. Thought they did a good job, although the did screw up a bit too easily, especially on anything that needed a good scrub! Loved the smell, so much nicer than other wipes I have used and they didn't leave any residue. They were also quite small. Handy for quick wipe ups more than a proper clean.
  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene? Important to me when cleaning the highchair, as my child eats straight off the tray. I have used antibacterial products before. All my hand soap are antibacterial.
  2. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done? Good packaging, great smell, plenty of moisture.
  3. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem? I put them in my food waste. Not a problem to me that not flush able as I didn't use them in the bathroom. If I were to use them in the bathroom it would be handy if they could be flushed.
  4. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Absolutely buy these wipes again, and interested to see what other products are available. Have recommended these wipes to friends and family already.
  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

Yes it has. I feel more confident that a Eco friendly product can be as good if not better than other products. Would look more closely at their products in the future.
  1. Finally, using a 5-star rating with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor? what would you give Ecover Multi-Action Wipes?
  2. If they were slightly bigger and not so quick to screw up it would be a 5.

Thank you!

  1. What were your thoughts and feelings about Ecover prior to trying them? Had you used any Ecover products before?

I use several other Ecover products already so was open to trying a new one. The environmental credentials were the main attraction.

  1. Do you currently use wipes as part of your cleaning regime? Is it because they are convenient, value for money or for other reasons?

I have been known to use baby wipes for household cleaning if they are to hand!

  1. Ecover Multi-Action Wipes can be used throughout your home - from toilet seats to highchairs - where did you test your wipes? Did they do the job?

Kitchen - highchair, spot-cleaning on floor, worktops, cupboard doors

  1. How important is it that the wipes are Anti-bacterial and kill 99.9% of bacteria? Do you use any Anti-bacterial products for cleaning or hygiene?

I use a-b products on the highchair - this is not a primary concern though

  1. Thinking about the wipes, did you find the packaging easy to use and carry all the information you needed? Did you like the fragrance? Did the wipes retain enough moisture to get the job done?

Yes, the packaging was easy to use and informative. The fragrance was pleasant - not too over powering. Yes, they remained moist for long enough.

  1. The wipes are FSC sourced and biodegradable - how did you dispose of your wipes once used? Would you pop them on the compost heap or perhaps with food waste? They are not flushable, is this problem?

I put them in the compost bin. I would NEVER flush any sort of wipe whether they are deemed flushable or not.

  1. Would you buy the products in the future? If it came up in conversation do you think you'd recommend to a friend? Why? If not why?

Possibly - they are easy to use, but not sure they are anymore effective than using a baby wipe which is probably cheaper

  1. Having now tried Ecover Multi-Action Wipes has it changed your perception of the brand? If so, how?

No, I still have a favourable impression of the brand
