We've been asked by Hasbro to find 20 MNers to try out their top 10 bestselling toys and games with their family (2 families per toy). We're looking for folks who are not only willing to try the toy but who are also happy to record a short video review with their child(ren) playing with the toy or game and to add feedback about it to a thread on Mumsnet. There are 10 toys/games to choose from:

Playskool Elefun Busy Ball Popper (minimum age 12 months) RRP £29.99

Sesame Street Let's Rock Elmo (Not in the shops till the 19th September, so this is a chance to get it first!) RRP £69.99

Littlest Pet Shop Tree house Playset RRP £44.99

FurReal Friends Cookie My Playful Pup RRP £74.99

Transformers 3 Ultimate Optimus Prime RRP £79.99

Star Wars Ultimate Force Lightsaber RRP £39.99

Nerf Vortex Nitron (Not in shops till 10th September, so this is a chance to get it first!) RRP £44.99

Bop It XT RRP £26.99

Simon Flash RRP £26.99

Monopoly Electronic Banking RRP £27.99

You need to be willing to video your child playing with the toy. These videos will be used on Hasbro websites and possibly on some retailer websites (e.g. Argos). As a thank you for giving video feedback you will get to keep the video camera (Vivitar DVR 610) and 4GB memory card (RRP £50) that Hasbro will supply you with. If selected, you will be advised about filming requirements and how to upload the footage to Hasbro. All testers will also be required to give written feedback on Mumsnet on a thread.

The toys will be sent out w/c 15th August and you'd need to submit your video by Wednesday 31st August. We'd like to gather your written feedback on a thread on Mumsnet shortly after (w/c 5th September).

If selected you will be sent the toy which will be yours to keep. If you aren't selected please do look out for the feedback thread as we'll be opening this up to all MNers to add their own reviews of any Hasbro toy or game their child is currently playing with. Everyone who does so will be entered into a draw where one winner will receive a £250 high street voucher.

To sign up please click here.

Many thanks

LynetteScavo · 15/08/2011 18:15

llynnnn · 15/08/2011 20:21

Ilikepinkwine · 15/08/2011 20:27

lisad123 · 15/08/2011 22:06

im very jealous Marne, im sure the girls will love them :)

Tortoise · 15/08/2011 22:08

Can't wait to read reviews on LPS tree house! It seems a lot to spend at Christmas for DD1 if it isn't very good! She has loads of other LPS stuff!

Shinyshoes1 · 15/08/2011 22:33

woohoo !! I'm a tester Thanks Mumsnet.

Needs to go and read my email !

wobblyweeble82 · 16/08/2011 06:15

No email here either ... Hurry hurry! Excited!

Marne · 16/08/2011 09:33

The video for the LPS tree house will be interesting, not sure if i shoul video both girls playing with it? Dd1 thinks her dream has come true as she wants to be famous, not sure what hasbro will think of a video of 2 Autistic girls trying to play Grin, dd2 has a few littlest pet shot figures and loves them so i'm hoping she will love the tree house.

Tortoise- it does seem a lot to spend on a toy (we would never have bought it for her), maybe argos will have it on offer nearer christmas Smile.

Hopfully we will get e-mails today to say when it will be dilivered (i'm so excited).

NewGirlHelenMumsnet · 16/08/2011 10:10

Sorry testers - I said I was going to email you yesterday and then didn't - how rude of me! Just emailed you all now - toys should be with you by the end of the week!

Thank you, cant wait to get the toy (and the camera) dd1's so excited Grin.

saycheese · 16/08/2011 14:32

thankyou soooo much, my kids are addicted to the bop it game so will be over the moon to have the new one out... and im sure we will have a lot of fun with the camera too, for the test and afterwards xx

LynetteScavo · 16/08/2011 22:01

Thank you, got the email. Smile

DS1 asked why we were only getting one light saber, as you need two for a proper fight, aparently.

I told him to shut up and be grateful we were getting a free toy and video camera it was so he can use it with our old £3.99 one (Which was DS2's main birthday present when he was 4...he was dead chuffed bless him) to compare how much better the new one is.

wobblyweeble82 · 17/08/2011 10:18

Hi Helen,

Will the parcel come by courier? And will they leave in a safe place/neighbour if necessary?

Thanks Smile

NewGirlHelenMumsnet · 17/08/2011 12:02

wobbly - not courier, they're being sent out next day delivery today so will arrive tomorrow - yes, they'll leave somewhere safe if nobody's home

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 17/08/2011 16:29

Tomorrow is the one and only day I'm planning on being up out before 10am, but that's fine, we'll grab it from the sorting office Smile

wobblyweeble82 · 17/08/2011 20:21

That's fab :) DD has her 12 weeks jabs at noon and didn't fancy unpacking it all etc with a cranky babbie piercing my ear drums ... Oooh, my boy will be delighted - still a surprise! He has nooooo idea :)

wobblyweeble82 · 18/08/2011 08:09

Mine here! The second I stepped in the shower there was a knock at the door... Poor postman got an eyeful. But still, it's here!
