Hello. As you probably already know, Ford recently asked Mumsnetters to test their new cars - and they've told us how delighted they were with your informed and enthusiastic comments.

So delighted, in fact, that now they want your opinion on Ford Econo Check technology, a new service that shows you how to optimise your driving and potentially save you up to 25% on fuel.

If you'd like to throw your hat into the ring to be one of the 10 Mumsnet reviewers Ford is looking for, you'll need to:

  • Drive a Ford registered from 1998 or later (click here for list of excluded vehicles)

  • Be able to have a data logger fitted to your car

  • Agree to add your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet

If you are chosen as a reviewer, you will receive a personalised in-depth analysis of your driving style and suggestions on how to drive more efficiently. After this, you will be offered a free 90-minute Econo Driver Training Course (worth £80), as well as an optional additional Econo Check to see how much your improved driving style is saving you at the fuel pump.

All selected reviewers will also receive a £50 John Lewis voucher and a £15 money-off voucher for their next service at a Ford Dealer.

To sign up, add your details here as soon as possible.

You can read full details of the project here

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask them on this thread

Thank you, MNHQ

If Ford will give me finance for an S Max i will happily install a data logger for the life of the car!

Eddas · 10/09/2010 16:02

i've signed up, would love to save money on petrol. I'll keep my fingers crossed

ChutesTooNarrow · 10/09/2010 17:20

My DP would be ecstatic if we were accepted. He is constantly boring fascinating me with his latest attempt to raise the mpg of our Focus.

ChippyMinton · 10/09/2010 17:57

Ooh yes. I am obsessed with the average mpg feature on my ford

sherby · 10/09/2010 21:31

I have NO idea what the MPG on our car is so pick me pick me

bosch · 11/09/2010 00:14

Follows several hours behind footsteps of chippy minton.

Please don't have it just tell me to do 50mph on the mway like dh tells me though...

sherby · 11/09/2010 00:31

quick question

I have a diesel 2001 Galaxy, which is in the accepted and not accepted columns Hmm

Any idea if it is accepted or not

gingercat12 · 11/09/2010 09:40

We have a Focus, and we would be happy to do it if somebody explined it to us how to attach the data logger.

It is petrol 2007.

AnnMumsnet · 11/09/2010 12:05

sherby - so it does Confused .....will check on Monday for you.
gingercat - they will fit the logger if needed but apparantly it is very easy

ds1 has a ford focus can i enter for him?

SaorAlba · 12/09/2010 11:47

Me and my focus have entered. Maybe this will teach me to appreciate her more. I grudge the amount I have to spend on petrol too much at the moment to have a positive relationship with the car!

Wigeon · 12/09/2010 19:52

There was a Ford-owning Mumsnetter,
Who wished she could drive a bit better.
Less cost, less emission, a fine proposition.
Please pick me! I await congrats letter.

AnnMumsnet · 13/09/2010 11:43

sherby - Ford are sorry but your car is not on the list - and sorry for the confusion. An amended list is now linked to above.

Wideon Grin like it!!

AnnMumsnet · 13/09/2010 11:44

(wigeon sorry)

MadreInglese · 13/09/2010 14:09

Ah pants, my KA is too old

florencerose · 13/09/2010 23:26

can I borrow a nice big galaxy from Ford just to get the most out of it? (we don't all fit in our Focus anymore!!)

gingercat12 · 14/09/2010 12:41

AnnMumsnet You think it is easy. I can be confused by questions like "Have you got alloy wheels?" [looking sheepish]

I have common sense in terms of driving, but am not an engineer by any measure.

Mum2Luke · 14/09/2010 16:21

I just could do with a new car - preferably a new Galaxy for the 5 of us!

I drive a T Reg VW Sharan and as much as I love it, its getting kinda old and squeaks and creaks on corners and over speed humps. Just cannot afford a brand new one at the mo.

Had a look at Ford website and was very jealoys of the mumsnetters who test-drove the Ford Galaxy and would love some feed back on how economical it was and how much space there was with all 7 seats used as we are thinking of buying one next year.

craftynclothy · 14/09/2010 17:29

Oooh would love to be picked for this.

PrettyCandles · 14/09/2010 23:26

Helen, I was filling the form in and must have submitted it by accident (I'm not used to a laptop and keep resting my thumb against the touchy-mousey-thingy). I got as far as the iPhone question.

Please, could you check whether I have actually submitted th form, and also whether there are any other fields I was meant to fill? I can't seem to access the form any more.

BTW answer to the iPhone question was yes.

Thanks!

StableButDeluded · 15/09/2010 00:56

Poop! Can't do it Sad

My dear little Fiesta is semi-automatic.

AnnMumsnet · 15/09/2010 11:07

PrettyCandles - I've emailed you, you missed one question! Email it back and I'll add it in
Ann

ChaosTrulyReigns · 17/09/2010 19:27

Have filled in form - just wondering when closing date is?

AnnMumsnet · 17/09/2010 19:40

We'll be letting folks know next week about this one.
